Hello everyone,I just got to test my pmdg yesturday on the tarmac at KBUR with the advance scenery. I was impressed but concerned because I was getting between 7-23 FPS in the VC with stuttering when moving around. In the spot I was getting between 12-26 stuturing as well. I went to the KLAX 25R and I got 10-16 FPS and all this with very dense scenery and clouds to simple aa controlled via the graphics gpu. Ive read people specs and get better frame rates than I do at much more complex scenery levels I really would like to be steady 20-30fps. No stuttering can anyone point me in the right direcction. I have FSX installed but I first installed fsx then I installed fs9. I h…

I all, I just subscribed to AVSIM forum's, but i have been flying the PMDG 74F for quite sometime now. My problem is that I just had a FS failure, so i uninstalled all my addons, then uninstalled FS, reinstalled it all in proper sequence at FS works just fine.But, when i go to start my PMDG, i load the cold and dark panel, and go through the steps to start it up. But i look at my panel, and all the CRT's are blank, including the EICAS upper and lower, i check power, battery is on, standyby selecter is auto, and I have 2 sources of GND power on, not avail, on...So i restart the flight, reload it entirely, this time with out loading the cold and dark panel. and i have engin…

I heard that there is a registry utility in Flight 1 web site which can improve the performance for PMDG. But where can I find it, at least I have to know the name of that utility. Don't just tell me it is pinned in the message board, it's taking about FSX, not my business

hi there, for some reason my 747-400 FMC doesnt seem to recgonize any british airports, everything else works, but i tried setting in EGCC, EGLL, EGKK and such and i get an error message within the FMC, i have the navigraph 0612 cycle installed, can anybody please help me?

Im getting a message after spooling up the engines with something like this in the top in Red writing in Green Boarder - Warning - Aircraft is unflyable due to CG problem. I assumed that I loaded the 74 & 73 (it happens to both models)incorrectly. I emptied the belly and loaded just enough fuel in the wings for a circut and this message keeps coming up - Reinstalled twice.Could it be the PMDGoptions.dll??? Can anyone help.Nia

From what I understand, the 744 has 4 independent hydraulic systems that provide quadruple redundancy capabilities. Different systems on the aircraft are powered by 1 or the other of the 4 hydraulic systems. Last week I heard about a 744 that had a number 4 hydraulic failure on takeoff and as a result they couldn't get the right (I think it was) wing gear to extend. The crew was able to return and land without scraping the outside engine. Now my question is, with 4 hysdraulic systems how come the aircraft wouldn't simply switch the required functions from the broken #1 system to one of the three functional hydraulic systems? Well, I shall try again. First of all I do not have a 747 manual, and I HAVE checked the forum. 1. I would deeply appreciate someone advising me of where NAV 1 and 2 radios are located on the new 747. 2. On the British Airways livery I cannot taxi the plane as it refuses to recognize the rudder pedals. Other liveries work fine. 3. I cannot get ATC to use Speed bird as its call sign. I have gone to the 747 config file and used every variation of speed bird...SPEEDBIRD SPEED BIRD etc.

Hey all,I have been flying the pmdg737 for some time and have almost got the hang of it! Soon I hope to move onto the pmdg 747 and wondered if there was any major difference in flying the planes?Obviously there is a size difference, but are there any differences in other things such as autopilot, lights, FMC etc.Thanks,Dave

Performing ILS07R VHHH landing, wind calm, LOC/APP set, wanted to achieve autolanding. Before 400 ft, things went well, flaps, gears ready. I have a problem with the dark and cold cockpit of the B744.When I enter the cockpit, the IRS switches are already in their NAV position, when they should be in the OFF position.Also, when I apply power to the airplane by starting the APU and turning on the APU GEN switches, all of the fuel pump switches are already in their ON position, when they should be OFF.I have also worked my way through every TRC lesson, and when I did lesson #1, these switches were all in the correct position when starting in a cold and dark cockpit.I already tried to save the panel state from TRC lesson #1, but when I reload the saved panel state when I'm parked at a different airport, the IRS a…

I've been away from the 737NG for about 10 months while using other planes such as MD80, ERJ, biz jet, and some turboprops. When switching planes I've always found that it takes a few flights to get used to the dynamics of plane, as it should. I fired up the 737 yesterday and was again struck by stability and feel of the plane. However, after hand flying the plane from 40 nm out on the approach and making a perfect landing, I had a thought: "This was too easy!"; especially compared to some of the other planes I've been flying. On the 747 PMDG I can set the radio for a ILS approach manually using the NAV RADIO switch in the FMC. My problem is that it does not accept the ILS that is 110.30 for FAJS it says invalid entry if I put in a higher number 112.00 it accepts it and shows that is on mannual now. Al I want to do is a ILS approach.With the 737 it is easy I just tune the radiosAny help please

I was wondering what are the fuel capacities on the 747-400f? loading a flight plan from KSFO-YSSY, and I kept getting an Insufficient fuel messages from the FMC. It also happened when I was planning a flight from EDDF-MMMX. I thought that 747 had long range but I guess not.well if someone can help me I would much appreciate it.Jose J. Nunez

The frame rate started to drop when final approach to runway, to about 4~8 fps, but crusing with 10~30fps, with FSX installed. I heard about that there is a registry tool for PMDG to improve the frame rate, where is it??Welcome for all kindly help

When I select Approach when the vertical and horizontal glideslope are active, the autopilot freezes it its existing condition and FS9 de-selects my controller. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the autopilot, but this does not help. The problem occurs on every flights and with or without FS2Crew.I did not have this problem in the past. I had to reinstall FS9 and the 747 and the problem has occured since. I have tried reinstalling the 747. I do NOT have this problem with the 737, with or without FS2Crew.Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?Thank you,Craig JJS

I've been flying the queen for quite a while with no real problems, and now for some reason it's not flying correctly and I do not understand why. I'll try to explain the problem.After takeoff with VNAV armed, THR REF and VNAV SPD annunciate green on the FMA, but the speed bug only increases by a couple of knots and does not make it above the flap manouever speed. (won't fly fast enough to allow flap retraction).I've wracked my brains to try and work out what could be causing this and I'm stumped!-AC is well under MTOW-The speed window is clear (ie no speed selected inadvertently)-Accl height set to 1000ft and FMC set up correctly.-No speed constraints on the CLB page or …
