Can someone tell me why my 737 would vere to the left and start to decend sharply after engaging the autopilot.I haven't flown the 737 for a while and have obviously forgotten something silly.I am setting up the FMC and SID, inputing ALT, HDG of runway and SPD of 180knts and taking off manually, straight ahead, climbing to 1,000FT then hitting the CMD button. I notice that the speed button light then comes on (is that correct?) then for some reason the aircraft starts a turn to the left but the HDG isn't selected and even if it was it is displaying runway heading so shouldn'e need to alter course?!?!?! LNAV hasn't been selected so what is telling it to turn??? Also at …

I copied the PMDG 747-400 from my old PC(windows XP) to the new PC (VISTA)and run it on FS9.After loading, the CRT's and all gauges of the cokpit light up but going dark after app. 55 sec. I can't make it working again but the plane works otherwise fine, I can change views etc, I can fly it etc.Can anybody give me some advice?For some reason I can't install new because my Aerosoft CD can't "find" the flightsimulator in the system.Thank you...

While climbing out of WSSS, I had a lot of trouble keeping my speed up. I tried to use the VS to manage my speed but the autopilot constantly forced FL CH to activate. Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way to override it aside from cutting the A/P?Also, it took me almost and hour and a half to climb from takeoff to T/C at FL330 as I could only climb at 200fpm. Guys,As you can see from my screenie attachment I now have some strange changes to my CRT/LCD displays in both the 737NG & 744 (PAX & F Models).Last night I decided to purchase some new scenery (UK 2000 Airports EGLL, EGKK EGPF & EGCC). Having successfully installed these items I decided to uninstall Ultimate Traffic, which I did correctly & successfully. Following this I defragged my system.On flashing up the Queen tonight I have observed some stange behaviour on the CRT displays, some of the fonts seem to have increased in size to the point where now some of them do not seem to fit correctly...some characters are missing...and some seem to be squeezed …

Hi all! Down loaded and installed the Eastern Airlines paint kit for the PMDG 737-800 by Pat Smith, having issues,like on decent the sim stutters badly(now with all the PMDG 737), error messages about something not loading on night flights. So uninstalled it but the problem continues with the rest of my PMDG 737 all versions,any ideas what it could have changed and how I can fix it, without doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of FS9. This will teach me NEVER EVER download anything your not sure of, now I have hours of work ahead of me for a paint kit!!!!!!! Thanks Mr. Smith

I have searched the forum to find an answer to my problem but could not 100% get it.Here is my problem:Yesterday, I have started flying my PMDG 737-700 again after a long break spent to enjoy some other add-ons (not to mention).I landed three times, each time I shot an ILS approach until 1000' where I disconnect the A/P.The three times, I noticed that after LOC capture, the LOC line on the PFD was not in the middle (although the AP fore sure to track the LOC) and I was slightly right of the runway, by some 1-2 notches. Currently I'm flying QF032 from EGLL to WSSS. Part of the flight takes me though Russia. At the Transition Point, I climbed from FL290 to S1010. I also programmed the FMC to show the step climb on the ND so I don't forget and stay at an RVSM level. The problem is, when I left Russian Airspace, I step climbed from S1010 to FL350 but now it won't show any following step climbs. Yes, the VNAV page still shows a 2000 Step Climb. The problem is that STEP TO on the VNAV doesn't show anything which usually happens about 400nm from my destination. Not sure if it is the download or my computer, but when i run the install for the 747, i get an error message about 90 percent of the way done. this is the messageCRC error: The file C:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator 9aircraftpmdg747-400texturepmdg_744_VC_OH_NT2_L.bmp doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. the medium from which your are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor. Anyone know a way around this. I tried ignoring this but there are about 5 more files that have the same problem and then it gives me a catastrophic error message.

Hi all,Am I understanding the directions about installing the 737 base pack to say it must be loaded before 747 pack...I've had the 747 on my computer for some time now ....do i have to remove it before I download the 737 and then install it all over again? Thanks....

Hi Everyone, love my 747 product!!!!i recently did a fun flight from KSEA to KLAX.... i established myself on the 25R Localizer, decided to hand fly her down, i flipped the A/T off at 1500 ft, and had all the Autopilot off..... but, a weird thing happened, my #1 Engine was the only engine responding to my throttle adjustments.... my 2, 3, and 4 were acting like thay were frozen at 70% (which is where all the engines were at before i fliped the A/T off.....) i was only able to use my #1 and No engine was providing Reverser Capability..... i had to do a hard brake land.... the throttles remained at 70% all the way til i cut the fuel lines at the gate..... thay then all shut…

I have a loud hissing noise in my PMDG 744. Its there all the time. In a Cold/Dark cockpit. Outside the aircraft and even when I push the "Alt" keyboard key its still there. No sound Volumes seem to change it.Thanks,Andy

Hello,I have a little question about the altitude callouts... There is nothing wrong with them on normal flights but when doing landing training with touch and go's then the callouts will not be there anymore on the second approach. And that's even if I take a circuit altitude of greater than 2500 AGL. It might be the realistic behaviour of the 747 and that's why I want to get some clarification on it. Actually I saw some A320 training video on YouTube where they didn't have altitude callouts on touch and go either...So, someone please give me some information on this! Thanks!

I just had to get a new laptop and of course it came with vista (blah). When i tried to install the 737 base pack, it went about 80 percent through the install without a problem then said it had an i/o error. this occured when it was installing the sound files. i tried to try it again and it wouldn't work. redownloaded the installer and still same problem. Does anyone know how to make this work? thanks

Hi Folks,Its very strange, sometimes its not possible to put in winds into the FMS in the 747 and sometimes it is. When i use a waypoints not from the FS it seems like that then you cant put winds in.Any explantation for that ?Marek from LOWW

Hi,I'm flying the 747-400PAX, setup for a full autoland, flare and rollout armed. If I now abort the landing, press the TO/GA switches, set flaps 20, not much happens, the aircraft continues to try and land although engine rpm slowly increases! Am I doing something wrong?Thanks!Bob :-)

Hi,when I load any model of 737NG (600,700, 800, 900) after switching from chessna in cold and dark state, when I put battery on an intermittent alarm tone starts and never stop.It's very loud and even when I push master alarm it continues inedefinitely.Can someone help me ?Thanks a lot,mbalvetti

First off, thanks for a fantastic airplane and great documentation. I've been very pleased with it.I have a few questions. All minor things:1. With all engine driven and demand hydraulic pumps turned off, the elevator trim buttons on my joystick appear to adjust elevator trim normally: I see the trim indicator move, and the plane's trimmed airspeed changes. Should trim be operable with no hydraulics?2. The manual says that hydraulic system 2 feeds the right autopilot servos, and hydraulic system 3 feeds the left autopilot servos. Hi,i am using the rout finder for over 3 years and it seems that there is noone to write to.I have 2 quesitons. I am currently only using the free-version ofthe route finder. Do you know, if it is possbiel to export automatically the Route to the PMDG 747-400 ? For exemple: i am flying from KJFK to EDDF and would liketo automatically export the flight plan into the FMS.2) Its getting boring cause the route finder is always giving the same route. Hi all! So I searched for about an hour through the various threads on here before posting this (very informative!), so if it's already been covered, I appologize. I love the FMC for this beauty, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it change from the default right hand hold, to a left hand hold. I have no problem setting up the FMC to execute the hold, whether it be present position, or at a fix/navaid. Can someone tell me, how in the heck do I make it do left turns instead of right? Hi all,I was just browsing through the airliners.net website and found a picture from a JAL flight looking out through the window over the wing mid-flight. I noticed that this was one of JAL's 744's used on domestic routes that don't have winglets. Hi all, I have been told there is an operating manual or pilots operating handbook or something like that for the freighter and it contains something in it to help with fuel planning. I have looked in every place I can think of but I cannot find it. Being able to plan the amount of fuel I need is the only thing stopping me from using the freighter properly on long-distance flights. Hi,Just wanted to know wether low speed protection is implemented on the 737 when throttles are armed and speed's deselected.I know landing with AT armed is controversial, though it IS a feature.Also, I noted that if you hit TOGA, say, on the ground with just the FD engaged (AT/AP off), it would point to -8 degrees (the brown section). Surely that's not how it's supposed to be. Or am I doing something wrong?Thanks/Michael
