    Howdy,After some time away waiting for a proper new PC, I've finally gotten back to 737 8/900. However, when I setup the tutorial flights to get re-acquainted with the systems, after take-off, the plane just keeps going straight despite what appears to be a correct flight plan in the FMS. The LNAV and VNAV lights are on, but the plane just goes straight.Any ideas?Mike

    Hello again.I have recently started flying the 737-6,7,8,900 series again after flying wilco/feelthere classic 737 series.They have both scored high in flight dynamics according to critics.But they fly very different in some aspects.When flying the pmdg version,I feel that I am skidding very much in turns at low speed (for example turning from base to final)I realy have to use a lot of rudder to get the turn coordinated.This is somthing I don,t have to do in the wilco version.A former 737 driver I talked to(He flew only 400 and 500 series)praised the wilco versions flight dynamics.At first I thought the reason for the difference is the ng series increased wingspan which c…

    The attached .gif file is (I hope) data I've collected doing distance to climb tests on the 744 at various weights. Tests were conducted at std atmos (FS9 clear weather) with no wind. No derates were used.This is the first time I've tried to add a picture to the forum, hope it works.

    Hi !Does anyone know of, or want to volunteer :) to repaint the wingleted version of the 737-800 in the El Al livery ? There is an excellent repaint of the El Al 737 fleet available by Yarden Ben Dor, but the winglets are plain white (which was correct at the time), whereas they are now liveried.Can anyone help with this - I would be most appreciative !!Many thanksJonathan

    Hi everyone!I have a couple of questions regarding the brakes, both normal and speed brakes.First, the speed brakes do not deploy after touch down, though armed.The a/c touches the runway, the green light "Speedbrakes armed" remains on, the speed brakes lever remains in the "armed" position, nothing happens. I activate the reverse thrust -- nothing happens either.Do I have to deploy them manually? I think it's something abnormal.Second, are there any speed restrictions for the wheel brakes? Or can I apply them immediately after touchdown and activating reverse thrust?And one more thing. What speed should the reverse be applied until under normal conditions? 80 kts?Thanks …

    if you are flying at say FL380 and preparing for descent I usually use the wind speed and direction shown on the nav display as the first forecast but not sure what to put for the other two other than a guesstimate. A couple of questions:-1.How do decide which 3 levels to put in ?2. if you put 'early' levels in say 350/250/200, should you then re-enter 3 more forecasts as you pass the ones you've put in ?3. Knowing how quirky VNAV Path can be, are there ways to fool the FMC by putting specific levels in say TOD/TL/FAF or doesn't it make any difference ?

    hi peoples.i have just uninstalled then re-installed fs9 along with all the relevent programs.with the 737 ng i have noticed whenever i change the fuel quantaties it reverts back to full tanks seconds later.as soon as i'm moving it will eventually go to the settings i want but only after many tries.any help would be welcome,thanks.

    Hi Guys,Hopefully a quick question. When ATC commands me to descend from CRZ earlier than my T/D, I use the DES NOW function. Per the normal function, the A/C will start a 1000fpm descent until it reaches its normal path.My Question: When I use DES NOW to descend early, can I tell the FMC that I want it to start its path at the point I initiate it, rather than having it wait for the T/D point?Thanks in advance,John

    I've created a Low Altitude Airways Flight Plan (with FSNav) from Seattle's Kenmore Air Harbour to Los Angeles.I can export and enter it straight into the FMC as a Co. Route but I should learn how to enter it manually.But here's the rub.     Hi,I was wondering something. When I program the FMC route with alt and spd for each waypoint, it will not automatically change the alt. I have to do it manually. I noticed that when flying the LevelD, this is done automatically.So which one is the realistic one. And can it be done automatically in the 747?Tnx.Rayen

    I've been flying the "Queen" (and also Ready For Pushback 747-200 and Concorde Professional by Just Flight) on my former computer (Pentium IV 3GHz 1GB RAM ATI Radeon PCI Express Windows XP) and have had tremendous smoothness and enjoyment. BUT...motherboard died and was forced to buy a new computer (Core 2 Duo E6320 2GB RAM GeForce 7650GS 256MB) and it has Vista!! Am I doomed for no more great and smooth flights with these aircraft that I have now?? Should I scrap my FS2004 and buy FSX?.....or will I be OK in Vista with FS2004 and the "Queen", 747-200 and Concorde? Anyone in a position to offer a somewhat depressed "simmer" some encouraging words? …

    HI AllI have finally taken the 737NG out of the hangar after having solved the FPS lockups at landing (due most probably to the refresh rate locked at 5, instead of 1).Now, I have an other issue to deal with.During final approach, when on the loc/GS with flaps 10/15 and gears down, I reduce the speed further to Vref+5, the actual speed decreases very fast, even dropping below Vref, and eventually recovering. In the meantime, I have dropped the flaps.This effect is not due to the flaps being lowered but rather a very quick thrust reduction. And since it takes time for the turbines to spool up again, the behaviour described above.Is this normal?Has this to do with realism s…

    requesting help from the experts...my PMDG 747 which has sat idle for several months is now causing fs9 to crash with the following message: The instruction at "0x0ba5000" referenced memory at"0x00000000".The memory could not be written.My PMDG 747F is functioning normallyBecause it is several months since I last used it I have installed quite a few different aircraft etc so don't know if it is related to this...I have tried all of PMDG's faq advise to no avail.Appreciate any advise!Russell Shaw
