As the title says, I have no problems with SIDS/STARS with the 'NG' but I am getting 'Program Error' when I try to enter them into the 747 FMC.Please help? I also have the 'F' too.

Has anyone had problems with doors not closing when using FS2crew.I have posted on the FS2crew forum, and believe I'm following the instructions in their manual. I also have the -400F and as there are additional doors, I wonder if there is any conflict. Any suggestions welcome.Ron

anyone have any thoughts/experience on the PMDG + rc4 + fs2 Crew combination? looking at adding the fs2 crew for more realism (?? does it add this?) but not sure if it will run smoothly with PMDG, and rc4.any advice appreciated....brownyps- my hot water cylinder just blew up so apologies for the smell in the cockpit....no hot shower today...

And thank you for posting in a respectful manner.This suggestion has been answered by Robert in one of the (big) threads above, but just so that it's clearer here, let me briefly mention that this is a technical issue that the shopping cart vendor wasn't capable of supplying so far. We're already looking into that, however we're depending on their schedule for such changes.

I am using the 7373 and 747 products and I have downloaded the most up to date fms data cycle but it seems as though many canadian procedures are missing for the pmdg products. When in cruise and sometimes on approach Autopilot disengages with a message and I have to click on cmd1 to engage it again. This works but later on it happens again. This has just started recently.It happens in Vnav mode and even when this mode is turned off.I have cheched my FMC and all is the same as I have always had. I did a "repair" from add/remove but it still persists. Very frustrating as I have to keep watching!Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ken Fairbanks

Hi AllJust downloaded the 747 Queen tonite and I am trying to get her all setup for my Saitek X52 pro joystick with key command assignments.I have already done this for my 737NG and it works well on a joystick profile using the PMDG keyboard assignments - no problems there.However on the 747 - no default keyboard assignments are active in the PMDG menu - is that correct ? Secondly when I assign keystrokes to the main / landing / appr and zoom views they do not work - strangely all the other windows do activate - ie FMC / throttle / Overhead etc.Obviously this should work I imagine and I am just missing something, can anyone help with this ?Thanks PMDG for a brilliant airc…

I'm thinking of getting another hard drive so that I can have one dedicated to FS2004 use. Can I just copy the files over by clicking and dragging to the new drive or do I need to reinstall it all ?

Hi. I have two questions.1. In the 747-400(F)How do i manually tune the VOR L and R?I just get "invalid" when i try to tune the ILS freq on the runway I`m going to land at. It dosn`t tune itself automatic eighter(because of my next question)2. Okay, I give up.I just bought the 737 this past weekend. I've scoured the docs to the best of my understanding (no, I'm not stupid) but I can't figure out the solution to my problem.I program the FMC, no problem, set my altitude on autopilot, turn on the FD, but when I try to arm the A/T, I just get a little warning light coming on that says something like "AT FIRST" (kinda hard to read.)Now what's the obvious thing I'm missing?Please help!

I flew United's Capital One flight this weekend Washington KIAD to Beijing ZBAA. Incidentally about two hours after takeoff I was watching the news and was amazed to see CNN broadcasting that the real Capital One flight was returning to KIAD after losing an engine. It all ended well though.The real flight 897 departs KIAD at 12:23 and arrives ZBAA @ 13:55. I departed KIAD on time @ 12:23 and arrived at the gate in Beijing @ 13:45. Once again I am pretty impressed with the PMDG 744. Now I have a question, under what conditions would a pilot select to use a faster landing speed with the queen, ie. flaps 25 instead of 30? Does a faster approach speed give better handli…

Hi, THe reason is that it is recommanded to have a 512mb Graphic card as stated in PMDG 747-400 FSX website, and I am not sure whether I should follow that recommandation to get a 512mb card with slower GPU speed, or fast GPU with 256 mb ram. ( I am not going to spend 600 USD for those higher end graphic card with 512 mb ram like ATI1950 with 512DDR)thanksben

Here is my problem. When I get a problem directly after takeoff in the 744 and want to return to my departure airport I goto the FMC ARR/DEP page and select ARR off my dep airport and then the runway I want to land on. 100% of the time I will get a 'not in database' error. Tried downgrading my airrac data but it still happens. If I select the runway 1/2 through the flight for my arrival airport everything works fine.So, what am I doing wrong and what is the correct procedure for returning to your departure airport in case of an emergency?FRED

I have noticed of late, all of a sudden, that when I program a flightplan through the FMC, the heading to a nav point seems to be incorrect.For example yesterday I was flying ORD-BOS, when I was flying direct ALB, the FMC showed my heading should be 090, I kept flying 090 but in FSNav it looked like I was off course, when checking in FSNav the actual heading to get me there was 106.I don't start my flights cold and dark, usually always with everything up and running and I program my flights via the FMC the same way each time I fly, I haven't changed any procedures lately, any ideas?Thanks,Tom

My question is about linking the AP to external navigation tools. I have been using FS Commander for a while and use it extensavely for its information & navigational ease. It does export to a PMDG format but I find as it is faily up to date it causes errors in loading files because the PMDG database might not know a waypoint.I run FS Commander on another machine using FSUIPC and it is great for visual referance on your navigation. Due to flying online it also gives great representation of other aircraft. I was wondering if it can be coupled to the autopilit heading in the 747 Queen of the skys to control the autopilot as it doeas with all other aircraft I use in FS9.…

Hi, whenever I input EGKK or EGLL in to the FMC i get errors and It shows no SID's or STAR's for the airports on the DEP/ARR page. When I input EGKK or EGLL as my origin for example it says EGKK err: DOMUT unknown or EGLL err: DOMUT unknown.I have the free airac cycle from navdata and the all in one sid/star package for PMDG products...Anyone know the problem? Hi,I recently bought the -400F,when it first came out I thought about purchasing it but never did, I think I seem to remember that someone said(who I dont know), that there was some special documentation that came with the -400F regarding operating procedures for certain types of cargo's carried....was this the case or did I misread something?Thanks.Regards,Martin.

Hello,Can someone kindly answer the following questions for me and how I might resolve them. They all apply to flying with the PMDG 747:1. (When using Sqauwbox3)I click on the "b" stroke key to set the altimeter and the SB box pops up. How can I stop this?2. When using FS2Crew with the 747 PMDG on an ILS approach I try to loc the localiser and approach by pressing the approach and loc buttons on the PMDG but it wont let me when flying with Fs2crew.3. I have enjoyed this journey through FS2004 mightily for the past 4 years, from a plain boxed MS sim to something that is now about as close to the Level-D system of UAL in Denver minus the 6 axis motion. I have a really great DELL XPS Gen 4 system with a ton of RAM, huge vid card, mass of peripherals including most of the GoFlight stuff and of course the MCP PRO. My cockpit is in the family music room with a piano to the left of the Captain's seat and an 8 foot high bookcase next to the F.O.'s seat--like any good professional cockpit should have.The thing is, I've gone overboard with everything. hi all,i've noticed that when using FS2Crew with the 744Pax and using the FS2Crew "panel config." the fuel "Totalizer" field is missing on "Progress" page 2. only the "Calculated" field is displayed. before installing and using FS2Crew both fields were being displayed. thanks in advance for the help. i asked this same question at the FS2Crew support and Bryan suggested i try here as the FS2Crew program does not make any changes at all to the PMDG FMC. is anyone else using FS2Crew with the PMDG747 experiencing this? thanks in advance for the help. happy flyin, FM
