Was there any fix for the displays not reappearing after a reset of the flight without having to go back out and restart everything?Mine are okay until a crash and it resets or I want to do another flight and go out and start at the new airport. Hi to all:I'm kind of new to this. I have purchased the newest PMDG 747X and its upgrade.My question is on the FMC. I would like to fly from Montevideu,Uruguay to Porto Alegre, Brazil, and I would like to import a flight plan from the internet to FMC. How should I do this? And, is there a good addon to do this? I tried to follow the instruction on PMDG FMC manual but i'm not very good at it. Is there a simpler way to do it? I work all day and when I come home I just want to load the plane and fly. Most of the time, I use 747 to fly Pacific Ocean to USA from HKG. The wind speed at Pacific Ocean can change very suddenly. yesterday, i flew to KSFO from VHHH. The wind speed suddenly change from -20knots to +100knots in around only half minute. The 747 nearly stall because of losing airspeed. So I increase the thrust to G/A mode, however, the 747 did not respond quickly to increase the speed again the tailwind. And it has a N1%-=102%, but the airspeed did not increase a lot.So, what 's the problem in PMDG??????

Hi here,i have noticed that, when in replay, the advanced animations de not work. For instance watching an approach from an outside view show the wings in "on ground" position, the reversers do not show and the wheelbogeys are level.Everything is fine in real time.Is this a known issue or am i doing something wrong?Sorry for my englishregards JAR

Could someone please list where the data files are held. I am interested in:- where route files are stored and the difference between using .RTE and the .XML versions - where flight status and panel status files are filed and the difference in their functions. Am I correct to say that in mid-flight I can save both sorts and then return to my flight at a later time successfully?Cheers, Richard

as simple as that. I can pan up/down fine. if I pause the game I can go left/right, but as soon as I take the pause off, it goes to the straight/up/down only.Any help appreciated.Francisco Leyva

The failures option for fire/overheat detection systems for the engines does not appear to function correctly? if the fire detection system is failed in an engine and a fire subsequently occurs, the normal fire warnings are still displayed....Adam

I have the updated 747-400 for FS9 since I purchased the FSX version and now everytime I load the FS9 version it crashes on the AIRAC load. I have tried 07-11 and 07-09 and they both do it. I have also copied the 6 or so files from the FSX Navdata folder over to the FS9 folder and same result. HelpSteve

HelloHave recently purchased and installed for the first time the PMDG 747 (FS9) and I must say that so far I have been so impressed just looking around the VC that I haven't even tried to get into the air yet!I had one question regarding night lighting -I think that I understand now how the VC lighting switches work, each operating a different part of the cockpit in three stages (slightly different from the PSS777 which I have used for a while now) and this all works fine, but I don't seem to be able to get any of the three FMC units keys to show any backlighting.Can anyone tell me if I am doing anything wrong, or is this how it is supposed to be??Thanks for any reply..L…

Before you read this and groan, this isn't about the centre pedistal. I'd about the MCP. I can't switch anything on the MCP but I can switch things everywhere else in the VC view. F/D won't move but I hear the switch noise, same for the A/T.. The buttons move but nothing happens.. LNAV VNAV etc don't light.. I can change them on the 2D view no problem and the MCP then on the VC reflects it.. why is this?I can change the display controls.. the EICAS buttons work.. I can also rotate the rotary switches on the MCP and change the speed, heading and altitude within the MCP.. But the F/D won't work.. nor will the buttons.. Something silly I've missed perhaps? HI I've loaded the "PMDG 747-400X Cold & Dark..." then I've changed the World local by LPFR and from Flights/Save menu I save it with the box "Make this the default flight" checked, then I ended the flight and I quit from FSX.The problem happens when we try to restart the FSX again. FSX begins to run but when AIRAC database is loading, fsx crash and desapeer.To make FSX restartable again,it was necessary to edit fsx.cfg file and replace the LINE:SITUATION=.....path of the cold & dark file.... Flew into KMCO (Orlando) last night from EGCC (Manchester). It was a great flight, might have hit an air current with 95KT approaching Canada but it was fun. Eventually I'm on approach for 35L at KMCO (not being a regular It was that or 36L/35R/36R, random choice), I notice that there's no PAPI and GPWS calles Minimums at some rediculously low altitude. The plane continues and plows into the runway before it even flares.I tried landing on 35R and it was fine!What on Earth is that about? Is the runway disused or something?

Hello Captains!I was pleased to read that PMDG has demonstrated the MD-11 at FANCON. That surely is a spark of hope for those still fiddling with the 400X?I'm curious- yes, Microsoft (who is naturally pushing FSX) is the major sponsor- but did PMDG use the FS9 version to demonstrate the aircraft? If you got a chance to check this out, please do let us know if the FS9 version was the one utilized to show off this bird.If so that would speak volumes- if not, tell us how she performs in FSX. Hi everyone.I just started my first flight plan with the new 744 for Flight simulator X and I have got no idea how to store my flight plan within the FMC so that I can use it later. I've been using the 744X since it came out and after several reinstalls of FSX and the 744 I think I finally have it going right. One thing thatbothers me is the long time required to go from flaps 0 to flaps 10. It doesn't take nearly that long on the 737 NG in FS9 or the PSS 777, or on real airliners. Is it just me or is this typical. Thanx.Art Stuart
