I just downloaded the PMDG 737NG Series and I am having trouble locating the operating Manuals for them..Can someone point me to how I might find them? TIA for any assistance you may provide me with.

I wish to fly a SID and have entered the nav id into 1L of the NAVRAD on FMC, and the course into 2L. I can see the VOR in green, but no course line. I have the ND set to MAP, and the range so that I should be able to see the course line (10). The annoying thing is that I have had this working :), so I'm doing something wrong. I had retrieved a flight and loaded the saved panel state.Thanks for any suggestions,Bruce.Edit- It's now fixed, I had the sim paused (duh). :)

Is there a way to take a legally purchased copy of 400X and copy the sound files from them to the legally purchased 400/F FS9 updated version- thus improving the FS9 update even further? If this is a simple work-around, some pointers would be greatly appreciated!Also, the EGT not running down still bugs me- on every shutdown- again, is this a simple fix and however this this guage get changed?No- before all the protests- I'm not asking you to drop your current lineup progress for another comprehensive 744 update (I plan on taking a survey for that a bit later)- but if these two items are things that would take only a few minutes to write- please oblige us in a mad moment…

Hi,I did not find an answer to my issue concerning 747-400X flight plans supplied with this product in ..PMDGFlightplans directory.There are two types of files: *.rte and *.rt2. While *.rte works fine the many of *.rt2 contain data I'm affraid do not exist in real world. For example when I load a such plan into FMS as a co-route I find a message telling there are some RWy numbers loading problems (I have checked that these rwys do not exist). Whats wrong man?RegardsCZ.

Hello all,My apologies for posting this on its own, but the intial message regarding the matter was locked.I downloaded the 747-400 X release on the 10/28, and did not realize that there was an update provided for it until today. From what I gather after reading the emails about this, I will not be able to download the new version since the 14 day download period has expired.So I had two questions. 1. I wanted to verify if indeed I have the older version (my version no. is 2.00.0030) and 2. What would I need to do to get the updated version.ThanksTabraiz

Just recently purchased 747-400 V1R11 for FS9. It seems that the only way I can get everyting to work correctly is to use the MSFS ATC. I use Active Sky, AISmooth, FSCopilot, Flight Keeper, and Radar Contact, when flying other aircraft, including PMDG 737's and I have no problems. When flying the PMDG 747-400 and using the above listed programs, either before or shortly afterwards receiving taxi instructions, all 4 engines suddenly start to go up and down in RPM's and eventually #1 and #4 engines shut down... (I follow normal procedure checklist to the letter.)If I use the above listed programs and use the MSFS ATC instead of Radar Contact, everytrhing works great... I ca…

Today I noticed you updated the product on Nov. 3rd.I am not sure if the version installed on my PC is previous to your Nov 3rd update or maybe it is the updated one (I have downloaded the product twice).How can I be sure of the version installed on my PC?If I have the older version, where can I find the update? Hey all,First off, 747-400X is the best plane I've ever had, for any simulator. I love the attention to detail, and the depth of the systems simulated. Thanks! It runs great for me in Free-Flight under FSX. For some reason I have trouble loading the plane in multiplayer mode, whether I am hosting a session or joining someone elses. The game loads, the scenery loads, I get to a point where I see my aircraft (in virtual cockpit mode) and it says "Load Complete!" I even hear the sounds of the engines for a second, and then, for no apparent reason, FSX will crash, asking me to restart it / send error report. It only does this with the 747-400X. hey there guys,matt here! I have one quick question to ask. I have always wondered how a team like PMDG selects which aircraft to make. Im guessing freeware groups just decide what they want to build and if the public does not like it then tough. What about PMDG. Since you guys are a payware group there has to be some business involved and the supply and demand theory must come into play a little bit. So how do you guys decide what to make? I've tried everything thinkable.. New FSX installation, SP1, latest drivers.. NothingOf course I've tried every possible setting, hi-res, low-res, display settings at max and minimums. I even tried every single one of them one by one to see if I could isolate one of them as the cause of the low FPS. Of course I've tried all the diferent settings in the video drivers.. Nothing. What kills me is that no matter what I do I'll get 3 FPS.. Even with no scenery and all the settings to its lowest.. Or with everything turned to max.. There is no change: 3 FPS!This only happens with 744-FSX, any default airplane will give decent rates with medium settings. There is a bottleneck so…

Good day simmers.I'm wandering if there are any here that use FsP with the PMDG 747??The reason why I ask is: the instructions that come with FsP for loading the plane with PAX and cargo are to completely empty the plane in the PMDG load utility and use the FsP one to load her!!??Does that not influence some bad behavior i.e. mess with the lovely flight dynamics that PMDG made??Secondly: Can some FsP sounds be unchecked like GPWS?? I'd rather use the PMDG ones, and only use FsP sounds that relate to the cabin, like music after landing, screaming and, F/A announcements etc. etc. And disable any sounds that might interfeere with FS2Crew.In short, are there any 747 flyers h…

Hello I have a question about the fueling procedures for the 747x. My question is why does the fuel fill up the tanks slowly like they are actally filling up like in real life? I mean hitting a switch in the PMDG 744 options menu to fill the aircraft with ex170,000LBS of fuel is unrealistic. I should be that a fuel truck comes to the plane and actually stats filling it with fuel maybee an AES implentqation. I sould take some time also like 20 minutes or more. My second question is can you set up the 744 in a way , that when you start a flight you start in a COLD AND DARK cocpit with all the systems and engines off,and i dont mean stating the plane with all the systems on…

Hello all.As some of you may know from earlier threads there is something wrong with my PC / PMDG, and it doenst like PMDGoptions.dll.But anyway...I tried re-installing today and all went fine. I then went onto the PMDG website and tried to install the Service Update. However, i got this message When i try installing the service update it says 'This file C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesPMDGoptions.dll is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded'Does anyone have any ideas? I tried getting a friend to send me his PMDGoptions.dll but with no luck.Sam Hampson

All:I've paused my flight and am hoping someone can answer my question so I don't have to go through the list again. I've followed procedures to a t. Started my engines and have stablized, reaady for taxi. Forward thrust...nothing. It goes up on the screen so it's not my yoke. Have 25% n1 and 63% n2. What obvious thing am I missing here?Also, I can get clearance no problem, but as I sit on the tarmac unable to move I also lose ability to contact ATC for taxi clearance. FSX sp2 on Vista 64bit.
