Hello Simmers.When i load up the 747-400 in the fs9 i cant get the flaps to extend in increments ( ex pressing F6 to retract in increment or pressing F7 to extend in increment doesnt work) only Pressing F5 or F8 to retract fully or extend fully.I had checked all the settings in the FS controls.This thing happens with all the airplanes .Any ideas how to solve this.?http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/9256/lsd124bi5.jpgHAVE A GREAT PMDG DAYSINCERLY MAREK JAVOREK

Hi allI regularly use the IFR atc in FS9 to fly small twins but want to start doing some serious flying in the 737 NG, when using the FMS to its full potential to plan the flight is it still possible to use the FS9 atc, not so much concerned and SIDS and STARS just the ATC through out the flight like any other FS9 flight, thanks for any advice with thisRegardsWayne

hi All,with no AI traffic to be seen anywhere A/C blips sometimes red, sometimes yellow, other times both, will pop up briefly (1 to as many as 6) on the Nav display with a msg. near the top right-hand corner "out of range traffic" or somthing like that. as soon as the blips disappear so does the msg. this happens when either TA or TARA is selected on the transponder. is anyone else seeing this? in the PMDG options menu "show all traffic" is disabled. is this a prob. with the 747X or FSX? or did something go wrong with my un-install/re-install of the 747X? never saw this with the FS9 version. i have the updated 747X installed. i un-installed per the Readme instructions p…

I've tried different versions, both running and cold, but I cannot make my default flight a PMDG 747-400X. It always CTD during the Navdata load with the FSX banner showing.Someone else reported this problem last month but no fix got posted.If I startup with the default ultralight, then select a 744 flight, there's no problem. But, it's kinda annoying.Anyone have this figured out?I'm using current 0712 navdata, but I don't think it has anything to do with the data.

I am having problems loading my aircraft accurately. Using the PMDG Load Manager, I am unable to:- set the basic operating empty weight to the 185035 kgs specified by my VA- set the number of passengers without clicking on each seat to get a weight that is the same as that calculated by TOPCAT (surely not a task for a pilot!)- set the cargo load accurately because the pallets appear to be all weighing 1588 kgs- fuel weights change variably with the slider by amounts ranging from 602 kgs to 1952 kgsAfter carefully following the Cruise and Fuel Planning chapter of the manual, it seems a shame not to support the careful calculations provided. Or am I missing something?Cheers…

Just wanted to download the livery air force one from the PMDG Homepage, Downloadsection. It is for the cargo version. Looks like the file does not exist. All other files are fine there. Just this one does not work.Anybody experienced the same?regardsHeinz S.

Help !I've not had any pc problems with my 737s for at least 2 years and last Monday night I flew as normal and then decided to to try my Altitude Concorde. I don't like this plane much so decided to uninstall it - now my PMDG 737s won't load. I load up my default location with the default Cessna (like I always have done), then select Aircraft and select a 737 - it appears and rotates in the FS2004 window so I then click 'Fly Now'. So far so good. I then get the little blue box appearing which says something like 'Loading Navaids/Fixes/ Airports' etc along with a quick busrt of rattling noise (which I have always preseumed is the auto trim) - then - NOTHING. I see there is talk of getting the Aerosoft MCP driver updated but what about those of us with still supported hardware like the GoFlight Pro MCP and Engrivity CDU's. With Vista-FSX-SP1I really thought i had everything sorted with my 744X, but after spending more than 8 hours hrs at the screen with ONLY the 744 in FSX, i still have a glitch i can't sort....I read, read and reread as far down these posts as my brain could manage (i think about 25 pages or so:-eek ). I visited countless Vista tweaking forums, applying every little fix and tweak i could find individually. After weeks of trying, I was finally getting good(ish) FPS (9-26)on the ground, a non jerky sim and less bluries. My OOMs had stopped too. Hi all,I recently found the type rating courses, and they are great. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to finish TRC 1 successfully. If I carefully follow the checklist, at the end, I have no nav data display, just a yellow box "MAP". Similarly, in the PFD, the tapes, heading, and annuciators (sorry about the spelling) are all fine, there's just no horizon display - no blue on top, brown on bottom. It's just black. The "targeting" bars are present.I've repeated this more than 10 times, starting cold & dark, after removing and re-installing the plane, I've removed 3d party scenery (just AFCAD fixes from AVSIM), no payware. I have just started flying the 737NG. I'm still struggling a bit with the FMC but I'm sure I'll get it eventually. It may be my inexperience, but there seems to be some room to get a little snookered up using all these tools at my disposal. I used FSnavigator (FSN) to build a short flight plan from Portland to Seattle. I used the SIDs, STARS but I know FSN doesnt update them anymore. I then exported/imported this route to FS9, radar contact & the 737 FMC. Of course, I have updated the 737 AIRFAC file so that has the latest & greatest. I am not sure if my autobrakes are working or not. I come in on full auto-pilot with autobrakes set to 3 (10,000' runway). It touches down perfectly and does not seem to slow down and in the end I have to apply brakes manually. I have trying de-coupling the auto throttles and auto pilot and still get the same result.I had no trouble with the FS9 version.I also have a program that I use to measure time out and time in using the parking brake and check the On Ground flag to check if we have left the ground. This seems to trigger while still on the ground. Not sure if this is the problem.Only add-on I am using is ASX and AGX and use a theme. Not sure if this is the cause.htt…

Hi all,I use FS9 version and, while testing pressurization system, I noticed something for which I 'd like your opinion.We all know that as soon as cabin altitude reaches 10000 ft, this in turn will start an aural warning for the crew and won't stop unless cabin altitude drops. In the incident I am talking about, I intentionally left all pack switches to off position, I took off and waited to see when (eg in how long) would cabin altitude reach 10000 ft value. Cabin altitude started to go up but in a surprisingly low rate : the 10000 ft mark was reached no sooner than 35 min (~240 NM)later.Do you think this is normal ? Hi, Has anyone got the rainwash effect working correctly on the 747-400. I attempted to get it working but was getting constant puffs of smoke coming from the engines at any thrust level,at any altitude,and whether it is raining or not. To be honest i have found the instructions that came with the download rather confusing. If someone has got it working correctly on the PMDG 744 could you post your Aircraft.cfg to show how it is correctly installed. Thanks alot, Simon.

Hello,does this function work reliably in the FSX-Version of the 744?I spend most of my time training procedures, mostly approaches, where I need reliably saved situations. The FS9 version had a few issues.Thank you for sharing your impressions.Best regards,Christian
