After I start my take-off roll how do I know when I am 40% of NI prior to activating the TOGA switch?Sometimes I push TOGA and the Hdging, LVL Chg and N1 lights on the MCP kick in as expected and all is well. A couple times I pushed TOGA and a different set of functions lighted, take-off was a crash and burn with inadequate thrust after VR. Again, does this have something to with activating TOGA at the right time?TOGA - when would the go-around be used/how?Lvl Change - If I am using Lvl chg should I ever have to use the vertical speed switch? Hi guys just one question please I have tryied to enter manually the ILS frequency into the FMC in the NAV/RAD Menu, but it keeps telling me that is an invalid entry. My question is Am I doing it right or its there another way to enter manually an ILS frequency and upload it to the Flight Display in the APP mode. THanks Happy Holidays

It has happened to me a number of occasions now: fs2004 crashes when I use the PMDG 737-700 at Schiphol (EHAM) with the NL2000 scenery. It spoils a good long flight and all the fun. Can any of you who have already set up the 747x in Vista give any tips ,tricks and do's and dont's on the best way to get it running correctly as im about to do the same.For example ive heard that its best to set up fsx outside the normal install folder ddue to security blocks and adminrights etc etc. This thread could be of use to many of us who are planning to upgrade to vista too. I'm trying to get the right side front and rear passenger exit doors open on the 737ng.I found this great guage on avsim i use to open the cargo doors and left side rear passenger exit.Now that the latest version of AES (Airport Enhancement Services)includes the option to call up catering trucks and they pull up to the right front and rear exit doors, how can i get these doors open?Thanks Alex

Hello folks!As the holidays are approaching everyone is running to the stores to get their final presents ready for family and friends,making up that tastfull supper on which we will gain a few kg's :D etc.Now wouldn't it be great if we found something from PMDG lying under the tree?I know i would be thrilled!So PMDG,would it be possible to send all your fans a little present?;)I'm not asking for a full release,but maybe a nice detailed progress report with a lot of screens of the MD11 or other planes would do just fine for me :D.Than all that rest for me to say is:Merry Christmas and Happy newyear to you all!Regards,Steven

Hi guys,Looking for some advice. I just installed FSX SP2 and once i fire up the sim and load a PMDG 747 the logo lights dont seem to be working.Has anyone had a similiar problem? and or anybody provide some advice on this matter? On another note, is there any kind of progress in regars to the "real Weather" problems when flying the PMDG 747. You know the one regarding extreme fluctuations in LNAV and VNAV. just curios as i am getting bored with the built in FSX weather scenarios.Thanks,NicholasB

I fly the PMDG 747-400 exclusively in VC (in FS2004) using my triple LCD set-up. I never use the 2D panels except for the pop-up FMC which I re-size during flights. If I get FS2 Crew for the 747-400, will I be able to use it properly? Any issues I should be aware of?Thanks!Jonathan

Hello Everyone: Not sure where to begin here. I had everything working absolutely great on my system (vista + fs9 + fsx demo). Then I decided to uninstall the fsx demo as I was hardly playing it. Now, after uninstalling the fsx demo, it takes a very long time (3+ minutes) and my computer's load jumps to 100% whenever I select any PMDG plane -- the wait is when reading the AIRAC cycle. Previously it was barely a hiccup to read the cycle. Once the plane is available, the entire panel is VERY slow, very choppy. Trying to enter a flightplan in the FMC takes a very long time; not really sure why. Huge lag in the system. Once the plan is entered, the entire simulation's fram…

How does the 747 work with dx10 in fsx?

Don't know if this is the place to ask, but here goes:One hour in to the flight in the 747-400 between KSFO-RJAA, my engine sound disapear from spotview and cockpit(i think) as well as my ATC sound(Radar Contact). Swtiches and wind sound is all there. Anyone had this problem? Solution?Been flying with this setup for about 6 months flawless and now this happens.Many thanks in advance.Regards/

Hey guys,I just installed FSX SP2 and now when I connect the autopliot after takeoff, the 747 stops in is tracks and spins on a stationary axis. I never had this problem with SP1, not sure what's up. I'm running Vista 32, FSX. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.Ryan

Hi everyone, I actually wouldn't consider it a problem, but it is very irritating.Sometimes during flight, or even on the ground, when i want to increase or decrease throttle on the PMDG 747-400 on FS2004, only Engine 1 reacts(most left engine). This causes my aircraft to turn unwanted to the right. Does someone maybe know how to get this straight, so when I Increase or Decrease the throttle on my joystick, all engines react simultaneously. There must be a button I pressed wrong on my keyboard. I am trying to unistall the 747 and 737 then re-install again to fix a problem with my ILS.I uninstalled both products from the "add remove software". I then rebooted and tried installing 747 first. I get the error message saying the version I am trying to install is older than the current version, please uninstall first. I can see the pmdg 747 is still listed in "add remove software" so I run the remove program again but now I get "setup has encountered a problem" and it closes. I looked in my aircraft folder in FS9 and PMDG 747 is still there. I start the game but the aircraft is not in the aircraft list in the game.It seems to have only partially uninstalled. I del…

I have just bought the PMDG 747 for FS9 - firstly can i just say what a great product this is. The best aircraft addon by far in my opinion.However I do have a problem. I have a read one or two other people have also experienced this so i know i'm not alone. On quite a few occasions shortly after takeoff I loose all engine sounds. I can hear all the cockpit noises, clicking buttons etc and ATC but no engine sounds. Whatever I do I can't get the sound back and have to reload the whole flight and sometimes even restart fs9. Hi, When I use the clickable letters for the different panels in the main panel.I find that I cannot return to the main panel from the overhead.I must go into the view menu at the top .its annoying!! Any Ideas, Atkin

I'm having trouble getting my ILS landing to work properly. Never had a problem with the freeware 737's, I would just establish on the localizer and the rest was easy. One thing I notice is that on those other planes it would lock my steering, even if I tried to turn I was held in place. On the 737NG that doesnt seem to be the case. A couple procedure questions;do I hit VOR LOC just prior to aligning on the localizer?Do I then hit APP and activate cmd B? If I don't want to auto-land, can I just use cmd A? Should the APP light always be lit or does it go out at some point?Doug

Hi folks,I just downloaded the FSX version of 747-400 and I can't seem to find the tutorials I seem to recall were in the original Queen of the Skies package. The downloadable ones don't seem to have FSX compatible files to get started. My question is, as a complete newbie, is there a tutorial or a lesson somewhere for FSX?Thanks,Derek Burney

HiI'm very confuse with this!! Why do I have to set down the altitude manualy from waypoint to the next waypoint when VNAV (it keep disconecting)is on? I look at the FMC and I can see the altitude changing (all of them) as I set the altitude manualy! Was is the point of VNAV during descent?If the altitude changes in the FMC are set corectly why VNAV does not change the altitude set for the next waypoint by itself?One more thing, if the VNAV is not click (use) than the speed set in the FMC will not be set automaticly? Then I have to set each change myself is it not? Is there some other way to get all of this to work in real auto mode??HELP PLEASE!!!!!!:-hmmm :-aol :-grr

Hi, The FMC shows a different fuel quantity to what is shown in FS9. I use the freeware fuel planner from PMDG to load fuel. The quantity cannot be changed in the FMC . Any ideas. Atkin.
