I am trying to track down whether my reinstall of the PMDG 747 is being done correctly. I am also having that CTD with the Unifier version which is what leads to so many installs, uninstalls of the whole thing as trying to uninstall the unifier release leaves a mess of the remaining 747 .. and then another reinstall. In order to help me learn programming in Visual Studio 2005 I chose to create a B744 Fuel Planning utility. I realize there are other utilities for planning fuel loads for the B744 but I needed something useful to help me sink my teeth back into programming and this little project fit the bill nicely.If anyone reading this would like to give my utility a try I'd like to open it up to a select few initially to get some feedback on the implementation. Hello Happy New Year Everyone,On the 744X "British Airways' lively, there is already a call-sign Speedbird, but the MSFSX ATC does not call it. The ATC for some reason does not call "speedbird XXX for the 744X. However, it calls it for the ai British Airways Airliners. I'm using the same "Airline.CFG" as I used for the FS9 version which was okay then. Am I doing something wrong?On unrelated issue, what does "Split IRS Program" means (FMC MSG)? This happened on a flight along the polar lines (UAL897-KIAD-ZBAA...flightaware.com....real world flight plan in real time.Is this equivalent to "IRS NAV ONLY' on the 767? Flight went on with no glitches though. ThnxGus

Hi EveryoneI have just purchased 747 400 for FS9 and I have instaled it in windows Vista. The install was ok but when I load the aircraft I cannot change anything in the EFIS panel such as clicking on airports or extending the range. I can place the mouse over the controls but they will not turn.Any help would be greatly apreciatedPaul

I have a slight problem with my FS9 pmdg 737sEvery time I prepare for take off, engage A/T, A/P,F/D etc. I accelerate until V1, and just before VR, there is a "engine fail" comment and my both engines stall with no possibility to turn them on again(even after pressing ctrl+E). I have to close the current session and restart it, then it doesn't occur anymore. I started both with cold&dark profile, with already engines running on the active runway, with FMC programmed, with none FMC etc. I tried different configurations and nothing works. It is on all my 737 models (-6..-7..-8..-9..). I have no programmed failures 'on', enough fuel, do everything (I assume) I should. It…

Hi guys,Well i have a small problem.When i enable Anti-Aliasing in FS9 and i select The PMDG Options menu the screen becomes blank(black).When i turn the Anti-Aliasing Off then everything is visible.I need the FS9 AA to be enable even though my adapter has the AA enabled. as i read in the 737 manual from Smartcockpit.com all the surfaces of the plane can be power either A or B hidraulicsif the electrical system is working but not the engines, the hidraulic system must be able to move the flaps, but it does notin the other side, with the engines running the flaps can move. this is not good done, because with one of the sistem running (A or :( all the surfaces of the plane must work (elect or eng)

Awesome new aircraft, just downloaded it. A couple of questions:1. On landing after a 7 hour real time flight I noticed the nose wheel was not turning in the exterior view. It stayed pointing straight ahead and turning radius was terrible. Is there a nose wheel lock or something?2. On the same flight, programming the FMS as a direct route between the two airports (over water most of the way) with no waypoints in between, the aircraft tracked parallel to the indicated flight path in LNAV mode, a few miles to the left of track. I'm having a problem with the sound in the 747X. When I'm in the cockpit, the sound seems fine. If I go to spot view , the sounds don't change over to the external sounds, the cockpit sounds remain.In the sound menu I have "hear external sounds checked" off.Is this a bug PMDG?

I had to reinstall Windows XP and everything else including FS2004. When I try to install PMDG 747 validation works but when I try to accept the End User License Agreement I get an error message: "Installation cannot continue. You do not have Flight Simulator installed". But Flight Simulator is installed. I just finished running it! Its listed in "Program Files" and also the "Control Manager". Not sure what the problem is>

Hi Guys,I've made two long hauls with the 747x (PHNL-RJAA, KMIA-EGLL). I get pretty decent frame rates during departure, cruise, and approach and landing.I'm running XP SP2, FSX SP1The two problems I've experienced are:1. After landing, I watch a few replays. I seem to be able to get through 3, and then on the fourth, I get a long pause, and then the "restart FSX" screen. There is no error, or file indicated.2. Hi! I'm new here :-wave I have a problem with approaches to true heading runways in the 747. The FMC throws up an error reading the SIDSTAR file for BGTL, with an error message saying "Err at 08T, line 32". (The runway at BGTL is 08T/26T.) I tried deleting the T at the end of the runway numbers in the SIDSTAR file, but then some other weird errors pop up.It seems to only happen to airports with a SIDSTAR file, too. Other airports with true heading runways don't blow up in the FMC...
