I know the problem with Shared Cockpit in third party addons with complex guages has been that Microsoft didn't explain how to implement sharing. I saw in the FSX forums that Microsoft *Has now* issued instructions for sharing third party custom guages.How seriously is PMDG looking to implement shared cockpit on future releases; and what level of importance do most simmers place on compatibility with shared cockpit???Best Regards, Donald Traill :-waveFLYing? does anyone know if it is possible to restore the VC windscreen rain droplet effect from FS9 in to FSX and if so how? would the FS9 effect file work in FSX?thanks Kav

I have read about troubles installing both the 747 and the 737 and you should have the 737 on first.I bought the 747 first and it is installed and working perfectly. SO now am I going to mess everything up by installing the 737NG AFTER the 747?Many thanks in advance. just was the order I purchased them in.Chuck

As you can see, my vref is 138 & I set a flap setting of 30 in the FMC. I am unsure how to read the PFD indicator to match flap setting with the correct speeds. I see the 5 setting below the speed bug. At what point do I set flaps to 10? What is the white bug between ref & 5? All that are using NAVDATA from Navigraph need to move the files from "...Microsoft Flight Simulator XFMCWPNavData" to "...Microsoft Flight Simulator XPMDGNavData" otherwise you are still using the original data provided when you installed the 744X.

Hi,i recently purchased the PMDG 737NG (v1.3) and all was working like a charm. But since i also purchased and installed the PMDG 747, I'm having issues with some keyboard assignments not working for the 737.For example by default the "autobrake increase" assignment for the 737 is "U" and the "autobrake decrease" assignment is "Tab + U".After a clean install of FS9 + PMDG 737 these work fine, even if i change them they still work. If i then install the PMDG 747 it changes the PMDG options menu (like it is supposed to do because of a new PMDGoptions.dll) and it also changes the 737 assignments.Which is fine because i can change them again to my likings except for the fact …

HII have recently noticed when programming the FMC in both the B737/B747 (FS9) everything is ok until i try to bring up the V Speeds.I get the message saying pre flight complete but no V Speeds appear.Anybody else have this problem. Thanks MELVYN

I have been flying the PMDG 737 for months on this machine with no problems, now, all of a sudden:When I load the FMC with a flight plan, frame rates drop to about 2FPS in the 2D cockpit (I don't even have the 3D loaded)It is important to note, in all other external views, frame rates are fine AND frame rates are also fine in the 2D cockpit UNTIL I load a flight plan.I have tried reinstalling the 737 and the FMC database; still the same problem.HELP!!!

I have both the 747pax and cargo versions for FS9.I seem to have a problem with the pmdg options menu.I like to fly using crt display on the pax version and lcd on the cargo version.However i cannot select the lcd option in the cargo version as the option is grayed out when I load the gargo version.I do see it defaulting to lcd display but stiil retain the crt version on the pfd.The only way to get lcd on the cargo version is to set it first in the pax version where the option of crt or lcd is not grayed out.Is this correct as I like to fly crt on the pax version and lcd on the cargo version.Why is the option of lcd or crt grayed out in the cargo?.I hope I dont sound peda…

After saving a Flight Plan (in the new FSX 747-400 under Vista)I cannot reload it as I continually receive a message reading "Not in database"After creating my Plan I have saved (?) it on the RTE page using the RTE Copy button.I don't have this problem with any of the PMDG Flight Plans.I have tried solving the problem in the forum under the heading of "How do we save a Flight Plan in the FMC". Jim has tried to help but we haven't been able to solve the problem.Cliff

Hello,I tried to visually observe the effect of the elevator trim being adjusted, expecting to see rotation of the whole elevator, but I am not seeing this.I was under the impression that the elevator should be rotating when the trim is adjusted.Is this 'normal', a bug, or user error please?for what it's worth, the effect of the elevator while flying is quite noticable, just not visually observable.platform: Vista x64, FSX+accellerationregards,peter belbin.

I was able to install the product without any problems and it seemed to run fine, however, I am unable to save anything. For example, I tried saving simple things like the sound volume and the PFD to Single Cue (both under Options) and neither saved after I click OK. They go back to their original values. I then tried saving the panels (Panel State | Save) with a simple file filename (I just typed "B747" and a description of "test") and when I hit , I get what appears to be a Win-Vista msg box "Cannot create file".Looks like a pattern.....has anyone encountered this problem before. I loaded with the load amnager the 747 full and did open all doors on the 747-400F, put the loaders in front of the cargo doors, but it won't load any cargo why?, The aircraft remains emty. Can someone help. please??Best regards Martijn

Hello, I have the most recent patched version of the 747 for FS9, I'm running Windows Vista, and my issue is that when I am in cruise, I have my autopilot on and set to LNAV and VNAV, and every once in a while, my nose will start pitching up and down wildly until I reset the autopilot. If I let it go without intervention, the autopilot switches off VNAV mode and goes to Speed Hold mode. Then the aircraft slows and eventually starts to stall. This wouldn't be so bad, except that I also leave my computer for hours on end sometimes while the aircraft flies and I can't always be there to correct the autopilot. How can I fix this problem so that the aircraft will just fly on i…

Hello-Recently my copy of the 747-400 has caused 2 (seen) problems:1) When using the 747, after pushback the ATC window won't stay open for longer than a second. I hit the [`] key, and it pops up, and then automatically disappears a second later. It is really irritating.2) Always when using the 747, The zoom and time rate functions get mixed up/messed up/hard to control. I hit the [+] and [-] buttons, and FS automatically zooms; it used to automatically change the time rate. Now, I hit [r] and then [+]/[-], and most of the time, it still zooms in and out.
