Hi Guys,Would appreciatee some help for the following.Last night I decided to fly on Vatsim for the first time in ages. Everything appeared to be normal untill about half into my climb to FL380. At that point I received a FMC message and noticed alot of starange behaviour. FMC message was "Unable Cruise Altitude" strange behaviour was: that VNAV had disengaged and Vertical speed was active at a slow rate 400pm climb. I tried to re-engage VNAV, but the aircraft was unable to climb and leveled off. My next idea was to try and engage speed hold and climb using VS but the airspeed conitued to drop. Hello PMDG I want to say first of all thank you for such an amazing aircraft. Good job! I am having trouble getting photoshop cs2 to save the 747400_fuse_layout template in dxt5 format. I have downloaded and installed the nvida plugin for photoshop. After I have cut and copied from the fuse_left psd file using the fuse_cut_template into the fuse_layout. I tried to save the file by selecting save as and then D3D/DDS under the format dropdown. Then I click save and I get an error stating

I've been using the PMDG 737NG since it first came out so I know it pretty well, I thought and I think it's a great MSFS product.Today I found an error with a dual-autopilot go-around. On a CAT IIIA approach at minimums, I executed a MAP by pushing the TO/GA button twice, twice to get a full thrust go-around. I noticed that the B autopilot disengaged, the A remained on, and there was no autopilot ROLL controll of the airplane with A on. The go-around should have been flown with duel-autopilots up to MCP altitude where B autopilot would disengage.I did another CAT IIIA, except this time I pushed the TO/GA button once and the go-around was flown correctly as a duel-autopilo…

HiI have recently been learning more and more about flying different aircraft, different types of approaches etc. With the PMDG 737 series there are two options when setting the decision height, barometric and Radio. How do I know which one to set for the decision height and what is the difference between the two?Thanks

i have noticed that if i try and make a turn in hdg select and try and adjust the selection during the turn it has a nasty effect on the yoke making it appear to shake and it also prevents the aircraft banking any further while the adjustments are being made has any one else seen this happen, anyone from the team aware of this ? kav

Hello, I've just bought a new computer and transfered everything over by just copying the Flight Simulator 9 folder over. Everything seems to work well except the 744. after starting the EFIS screens go blank after about 2 min also in the VC. I've lost my order number so I can't reinstall although I still have the download. Just wondering if someone knows the fix or how to get my old order number. The 744 is the best plane you can buy and now it runs with no frame rate drop on the new computer, Finally joy!

Hi GuysDue to some err.... technical difficulties on my flight deck, i've had to revert back to FS9 if I wan't to fly the 744 (which, obviously, I do).Thus, i've reistall FS9, and my trillion addons, and have run the '744 Unifier'.My question.....? There was also a sound update for the FS9 744. Does this need installing if the 'Unifier' has been run?Many thanksPS..... Yo Ryan - go 'crack the whip' for the flight engineers will you?

Folks, If I read the post of 21/12 correctly in regard to where Airac files and SIDSTARS files are to be posted in FS9 and FSX respectively, I believe there is another error in cycle 0801 out today. While both sims will pick up the Airac files correctly for 0801, the SIDSTARS for FS9 have been placed incorrectly under the FMCWP folder. So, when accessing SIDSTARS under FS9 you will not have the latest TP's from Navigraph.I think I got it right!!Regards to allJock McIntyre (YMML)

Hi All I have the usual "No TDZ" warning on a flight EGLL to ZSPD (Shanghai Pudong)There are no runways for this airport in the FMC database. Can a runway be entered via the scratchpad and if so how ? Can the FMC database be updated somehow?Thanks in anticipationDave

Have just downloaded the PMDG737. Does the FMC not import flightplans from the default FS2004 Flight Planner? Haven't had time to RTFM yet!!If this is the case which Flight Planner would you recommend?Bill

While flying, I noticed the magnetic compass located just under the lights panel in the centre looks a bit odd on the 747. I'll try to explain the best I can... :-)The ND (and even the heading indicator on the PFD) is 'normal' in that say you're flying south, it shows your heading as 180

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that the glideslope capture in the new 74X isn't as good as older versions?At 1 Dot up (glideslope scale) the FMA changes to GS (green) and the aircraft does a climb followed by a dive to intercept it. I'm 100% sure that it didn't do this on other version!Martin Neep

The overhead panel in the B747-400X, even with the dome light on, is dark in the area where I think the Fuel Control Switch is/are and I am having a difficult time finding and activating it. I tried the VC too, no luck.- Is it the dark area above the Engine Start Switches ?- Is there one per engine or one for all 4 ?- Is there a way to turn the switch(es) on/off through the keyboard ? I know SHIFT+CTL+F1 cuts off the fuel and it works but my problem is starting the engines. May I assume if I do SHIFT+CTL+F4, fuel will flow to all engines ?Any shortcuts/advice on engine start sequence is appreciated.Thanks,Zach

I am trying to learn to fly the 747. In particular I am trying to set the Nav Radios for a manual ILS landing. I have positioned the aircraft at Manston (EGMH) told the FMC I am at EGMH and set NAV1 to DVR, NAV2 to DET and the ADF to 311.0. So far so good. When I take off I have clicked on the arc/compass rose button to show the compass rose expecting to see the needles showing where the beacons are but nothing is visible.How can I fly a simple circuit and use the ILS?Thank you

Hi All:I am hoping to complile a list of users VC camera angle files for ease of use. If you utilize the SDK tool files for setting your individual camera views in the VC and don't mind sharing (preferably with screen shots depicting the angles), please add to this post.I hope that this post will become a reference for those not yet familiar with the included SDK tool, and allow those handicapped with the lack of an Active Camera replacement for FSX to take the plunge!Should this idea bear fruit, I will move this information to PMDG OPS for future reference. Hello,I just tried the 747 in FS9 to see how the update in FSX package performs, but noticed that there wasnt any new options for altitude callouts or to turn off FO dispays etc. The module said "October 2007" though.Does this mean it didnt install the FS9 update correctly? I tried reinstalling it too with the repair option but that didnt work either.Best regards,

Today, I deviated from my FMC programmed course of flight by kicking into HDG SEL mode a few mins after takeoff. After flying in this mode for a couple of minutes, when I hit LNAV, the FMC said I was not on an intercept heading which I had expected. Usually, I rectify this by steering a course back toward the magenta line using the HDG window and HDG SEL mode until LNAV re-arms and I rejoin the magenta line. Today, however, I decided to delete the waypoint I'd been heading to before kicking into HDG SEL mode and bring the next waypoint up in its place. Hey all, I want to know if it is possible to update 1 particular file, I have a scenery for TNCM (St.Maarten, Juliana) that have an ILS, but the fmc don't know that there is an ILS now on the airport so I can't select ILS landing in the fmc, so is it possible to edit the SID/STAR for the airport and add that?
