PMDG,I wanted to take the time and say thanks for your outstanding products. I have been involved with FS since the sublogic days and a very heavy FS enthusiast since FS98 came out ten years ago. I own every major payware aircraft out there, and nothing frustrates me more than to pay money for substandard products that are overhyped and filled with bugs. I'm sure we all can recount stories of poor products by other developers that were either released too soon or just poor in quality. This is not the case with PMDG, however. Did a quick flight from Bristol to Ibiza last night. Arrival options in the FMC gave me ILS r/w 24 or r/w 06 so selected 06 cos of the wind direction. Approach menu of the FMC gave me 111.10 as the frequency and heading 063 - so far so good. However when I lined up to land I couldn't pick up the ILS - display said "EFIS/Nav do not agree". Any idea why - I'd tuned both Rad to 111.1 and selected the heading in both boxes - any thoughts ? Oddly enough I couldn't find a chart for ILS r/w 06.

Hi. I dont wanna sound like an unhappy camper.... (here comes the big but), BUT...lolI bought the 747 QOS back in 2006. I had a hard drive crash recently and lost everything. the download link i had expired, so i emailed you guys (PMDG) about getting a new key, in the email was a copy of my sales receipt.That was Friday, almost a week ago. No Response. Have generated a flightplan (actually used an already existing flightplan) in Simroutes and exported it to the PMDG Flightplan folder. I then changed the name from SMF-LAX.rte to KSMFKLAX0001.rte but it won't load into the FMC. I get a "not in database" error. What am I doing wrong?Jeff EvansRocklin, California, USA

Greetings, I've flown this lesson 3 times with the same sad results.At VOR VCV the turn gets real wide and the speed starts to come down but never really gets very slow. Hey GuysHaving just GONE BACK to XP from Vista, I'm still reinstalling all my addons. Big problem with my 744 QotS for FS9 though....After i enter my details in the activation screen, then click on 'Validate', 'Install Shield' locks up. The PC continues in all other respects ok, but i must use the Task Manager to close Install Shield..... and yes, the validation details are correct, and PMDG have just yesterday reset my counter.Any thoughts please?

Hi Folks :-)Im trying to be a painter LOL but now I am facing a little "assignment", Im painting the engine_r_t fileand it have a text printet on it "Left side outer and Right side outer", and I would very much like to get rid of that text, but how ??? Anybody from Sydney or Auckland? I am trying to fly the pmdg boeing 737 between these cities, but the L521, L513 and N774 routes are not recognized in the FMC. I try to input them, and there is the following message "Invalid input data" or something like that. I have AIRAC 0801. Can you help me?Rgds,Valepor :-newbie

Hey fellows, I don't know if it supposed to be like this, but I did a flight from ESSA (Arlanda) to LHBP (Budapest Ferihegey) and when I was about to program the FMC for landing there was no Stars there, I have installed the latest airac from navigraph and have it installed in the right directory, so I did another fly from mmsd to mmaa and same there, some airports seams to have stars, and some not, if it supposed to be like this or am I missing some file?

I would like to import a PMDG flightplan into FSBuild but the FSBuild Import function does not seem to support this. Does anyone if this can be done ?

Hi there, I installed PMDG 747 for FSX again, 2 days ago. Yesterday it worked fine, but today I selected the aircraft and the visors in the cockpit where all in black...any help, does anybody had the same problem??Thanks, Agustin

Have any of you tried Pete's FSUIPC 4.217 with "wind smoothing" enabled within FSX SP2? He has done a marvelous job in this build & wind behavior is finally shaping up quite nicely. Of interest however, is the lateral behavior of the 744X AFCS . In a truly C&D situation with the Queen, is the entire overhead panel dark and switched to OFF? Would any switches display ON in a C&D cockpit? I am unclear on this as I've seen a couple of C&D situations in the sim where not everything was in fact dark and switched to OFF. Appreciate any info/guidance on this, thanks.Jonathan

G'day,When the driver for the GoFlight MCP and EFIS was written did it include a dual EFIS set up ? Was this tested ?I have the MCP Pro and EFIS and would like to know if adding a Co-pilots EFIS is possible/worth it :-).Many thanks for the info.Chris.

Hi Guys,Just an FYI for the admins really, but it appears that somehow, the .exe installer for the China Airlines 'Boeing Dreamliner' livery actually installs the default China Airlines colours.Slightly OT: But thanks for the fantastic 747 for FSX PMDG, it really is a magnificent bird and adds a layer of realism within FSX only equalled by the Level D 767-300ER. G'day,Because the BARO knob on the GoFlight EFIS is not double concentric (or whatever ...) changing from IN to HPA is not possible. What is the intend solution in order to change from IN to HPA ? Do I have to continuing clicking with the mouse on the EFIS panel (I know how to do this but it's hard to do it when I've got hardware...) or set-up a keyboard shortcut ? I assume it is not possible with the FS2004 B737NG and B744 to permanently change the default from IN to HPA so that changing it is not necessary (I fly in Western Europe and only need HPA) ?CheersChris.

1. The RESERVES on the PERF INIT page of the FMC is not very well documented. I am assuming it is the sum of the following fuel weights: Minimum Landing + Alternate (alternate airport) + Contingency. Is this correct ?2. The manual states "two clocks located on the instrument panel.....". The only clock I have found is the one displayed when selecting CHR...from the subpanel selection but I cannot seem to be able to modify the time.- Is this the clock that is used in the cockpit and also feeds the FMC GMT information?- If "yes", how do I modify the time, if "no", how do I display "the clock" ?ThanksZach

Hi,Does anyone have an idea why the TCAS might stop working? I've had the 744 pax and 744F loaded for quite some time now and it used to work fine but recently I noticed that no aircraft show up on radar. I have plenty of AI traffic. I also have the PMDG 737NG and it still works fine, as does all other payware addons I have with TCAS. I did a search online and checked the settings in FS but no luck. Yes, I have all the switch settings correct and "TFC" is showing up on the MFD. I also try setting above and below settings but still no luck. Yesterday I followed an airbus onto final about 8 miles behind within 1,000 feet of same altitude but no radar blip. Any ideas?PS: I a…

Greetings All, I just finished installing PMDG's 747-400 for FS9.I should mention I've been FS'ing since MS first version. Never in all that time have I loaded up a jet and now I have the ultimate 747.I've always been content with SEL aircraft but I guess I was looking for a new challenge and man have I got one.I won't be taking to the sky anytime soon, seems there are some 14 manuals that will need a lot of study, new terminology that needs a lot of study also.If anyone is interested the installation went flawlessly. Hi there!I'm having a few problems with 744 for FSX and was hoping somebody could help!1) I'm unable to adjust the frame-rates for the EFIS displays in the option "Performance Tuning". It's locked at 12 FPS and whenever I amend it and click OK it returns back to 12.2) The control surfaces do not move in the external views or wing views. The low-speed ailerons remain drooped and the high speed ailerons are flush with the wing. The flap fairings extend along with the linkages but the flaps themselves remain retracted.3) There's NO SOUND when operating the landing gear.
