Hi, I have noticed that the altitude callouts on both 747 and 737, are inhibited when the gear is up. They only sound when the gear is down. Is this a bug or a feature? Jan-Paul

Hi guys. I recently took a flight with the PMDG 747 and used the "pack 2+3 off" before startup, but after the start-up, I cannot turn Pack 3 back on. Pack 2 works fine to turn back on, but pack 3 remains off, even though it's on "NORM" on the overhead.Thanks, Ron.

I have owned the 744 and 744F for nearly a year and never had a problem till now. When I first downloaded it I also downloaded the British Airways, Global Supply Sysstems, FedEx, Cargolux and Malaysian liveries. All installed and worked perfectly.Last week I decided to download the Emirates SkyCargo livery. I installed it as normal but it didn't appear in the drop down menu in FS9. Thinking I may have accidently downloaded the FSX version I uninstalled and downloaded again making sure it was the FS9 version. Still it wouldn't appear so I checked the aircraft cfg and the livery was present.I contacted PMDG and they sent me a new cfg file but this didn't correct it. I then …

Why is it that, on my system, the MCP and EFIS keyboard commands work for everything except "A" turn it on and "Tab A" turn it off!! "CMD A" (MCP) will turn on and off with a mouse click but not with the keyboard commands.(same for CMD :( This of course becomes important when adding an expensive external MCP which needs these commands to communicate with PMDG. I must be missing something easy here but what is it? All other commands LVL CH, VNAV, Speed, N1 etc work perfectly with keyboard commands and also with mouse clicks. Hard to believe that a programme of this quality has this problem.

In FSX, an IFR flight is implemented and managed as such by ATC by selecting "IFR" in the FSX Flightplanner and then loading the flight plan. Since PMDG has its own flight planning, how does one activate an IFR flight to be managed as such by ATC when flying the PMDG 747-400X ? When I tried flying IFR with a flight plan created within the PMDG 747-400X, ATC treated it as a VFR flight.

I did some searching on the forum and couldn't find this specifically addressed, so here goes...When I first got the 737 and was working with TCAS, I used Squawkbox and VATSIM, and I would swear that traffic sitting on the ground never showed up on the TCAS display, even when I had the "show non-threatening traffic" option checked.Since then I've done several rebuilds of the computer, and am using FSInn for VATSIM. But when I try and load a flight of my own I cannot seem to find any SIDs/STARS listed.For example;If I fly from London Hearthow (EGLL) and enter my origin on the route (RTE) page I get the error message "EGLL err: 05 rwy unknown".I then try to fly from Gatwick to Manchester in the UK. When I select the DEP ARR options I see no SIDS/STARS to select. I'm having trouble using Radar Contact with the PMDG 747-400 but not with stock FSX aircraft. I'm working with Radar Contact developers on the situation but am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. The key strokes are not recognized by Radar Contact. If anyone else has experienced this and found a solution, please let me know.Thanks,

First off, I know this has benn discussed over and over and I have read all I can find regarding this issue, however, I am hopeful someone might have something new to offer. In FS9, I rarely can finish a flight in the 747-400 without getting an out of memory error. It almost always comes with about a half hour to go. Some flights are long ones (12+ hours) some only an hour and a half. This occurs all over the world, some places I have addon scenery and some not. Weather conditions do not seem to matter, nor does AI traffic, as I have adjusted these with the same results. I have tried most of the suggestions found in the many threads about this topic, again without success…

Hello,I am a new user to the PMDG747 for FSX, it is pretty amazing how much better the flight model feels compared to the default 747 which I've been flying, and I'm really looking forward to digging in to the manuals and learning the FMC. The attention to detail is awesome!In a few initial test flights where I took 'er up and just kinda flew around to get a feel for the changes, I noticed that my fps runs around 7-10fps lower than with the default 747.Is this typical behavior from the extra stuff going on under the hood with the PMDG model? Hi,I'm having a strange problem. I have noted that when I use Active Sky X with the 747 and strong wind (but not unreal) she can hardly keep the HDG commanded. She struggles and swings left and right to catch the heading to no avail.Anyone with this issue? I have tried a search in the forum but I can't get this utility to work on my PC.ThanksLorenzo

Hopefully this time some of them will spent five minutes to take a look at my problem.Again, FS9 crashes while I am flying the 747 with any livery. Making a flight, it has appeared in the superior EICAS the following warning FUEL TANK ENG 14. When I am going to conduct the operations to correct this alarm, I observe that the corresponding switches in the Overhead Panel are not operative . How I can correct these anomalies? FSX SP2, DX9 mode (ATI card if that matters) running under XP- kinda implies dx9 doesn't it?Anything I Can click is fine. I push, and try to start as I have numerous (maybe even hundreds!) of times in the past.I get four stable engines. All looks good.Problem 1)Then I either try to apply flaps- the upper EICAS shows the commanded setting (usually flaps 10 in my case) but no application of flaps- Yes I have bleed and Hydraulics- verified on the lower EICAS. hey everyone, i just got the fsx pmdg tonight and when i got on, all 4 of my MFD's where blank. i went though the whole pre-flight check list and nothing mentions it. I'm running FSX with both service pack 1 and 2. i'm also running it under XP if that has anything to do with it. the game looks and runs beautiful but this issus has me scratching my head. i don't know what else to do, i'll keep reading and trying to fix it on my side. Hi all, I was just poking around on airliners.net and found a beautiful 747-400F in TNT livery. Could someone please take on the job of creating a repaint for this paint scheme? I have found a repaint of it on avsim.com, but that is the -400 version repainted to look like the -400F. It's close, but not that accurate and it's not for the PMDG 747 Freighter. Hi everyone!Since I reinstalled both WinXP, FS9.1 and PMDG 737NG, I've been experiencing notorious CTDs with both 737-700 and 737-800. It is usually the very beginning of my flight: starting to taxi, taxiing, take off... Either the FS window becomes black while FSInn or SqBox continue sending and receiving voice and then I get an error message, or the nose gear "brakes" and the plane crashes on ground.I'm using ActiveSky 6.5, FSUIPC 3.75 (registered), FS RealTime and XSquawkBox for MSFS. For my online flights i usually use FSCoPilot 1.2 and FSInn 1.6, but I also tried it with SquawkBox 3. It crashes with both online flight utilities.I've just tried an offline flight with …

Just noticed that my Contrails for the B744 have gone slighly haywire, there is only two of them and they are wider than the plane itself ! Not sure what caused this but just wondering how to change it back?Best Regards,ChrisEGBB

I am experiencing a CTD when I fly the 747. Using Filemon I found out that FS9 looks for a texture file called: "texture.lh.dat". In the directory: "C:...FS9AircraftPMDG747texture.lh.dat" (I am using Lufthansa livery). The same thing happens also using other liveries. (In that case the name of the missing file chages accordingly).Any idea how can I fix it? (I don't have the 737 installed, but I have the 747 Cargo).Thank you very much.p
