HiCan anyone advise how I get the FMC to activate the ILS when I am returning to the same airfield or my alternate [Reason is engine out on dpt], it stays in the Parked mode in the FMC and will not allow me to input a freq directly into NAV 1 or via the FMC arrivals page when I select the new arrival [eg the ILS for the new destination and activate it] - I have tried this a few times and even when at the point the ILS should be active it still remains parked.I have flown numerous approaches and everything works fine with the original destination but as above if I change the original arrival to a new one I am having this problem with the ILS - I know this is down to me, bu…

I have been flying PMDG 744X around the world for some time now. In fact it is almost the only reason I turn my PC on! My system has been rock solid with no probelsm whatsoever - a stable as could be.When I purchased a 22inch wide screen LCD monitor (HP w2207h) I thought it was really going to boost the experience of flying the 744X and for a few minutes it really did... but...At the native resolution on the new monitor of 1650 x 1080 the sim seems to bomb out with corrupt graphics. Hi all y'all,I have a relatively simple question about flight plans. If I (1) use MSFS Fight///// Flight Planner to build a route and load it, then (2) use one of the many on-line flight planning tools and hand-enter those 55 steps (including North Atlantic Tracks) into the FMC, which one wins? The routes diverge hilariously, as others have discussed (MSFS routes through northern alaska).It seems as though the AI ATC in FSX knows only about the FSX route while the 747X seems to correctly fly the hand-entered route. Is there a way to tell FSX ATC to use the PMDG route? Or, perhaps, is there a way to tell the FSX AI ATC to go away and leave me alone? I'm aware that I can dr…

This is the FMC warning I'm getting. I have 382,000 lbs of fuel on board and am flying from Vancouver to Tokyo, about 4,100 nm. Why am I getting this warning when max distance for the 747 is around 7,000 miles?TIASteve Ark

Hey guys,just out of interest, and perhaps a small criticism, why didn't PMDG program the position report page into the fmc? In my opinion it woulda just made things a bit easier for flying in vatsim, like over Gander, Shanwick or KZAK.Is it in the FSX version?

Hello,unfortunately my GoFlight MCP Pro did not work anymore properly and therefore I had to send it in for repair. I now got it back and it seems that the Serial number has changed and therefore it does not get recognized anymore by the lisence key. I like flying the Qantas painted 747-400X, but am surprised that the logo doesn't get lit up at night when the logo switch is most definitely turned on.what's up with that?

Peter Dowson has revised FSUIPC based on much work and testing to smooth winds, pressure and temperature. He remarks that some low level turbulence issues remain with the 747X but otherwise this module makes a HUGE difference and finally solves what has been a very distracting problem. I have a few questions about the 747 400 from PMDG. It's a great plane, but I'm having some problems (probably due to my not knowing anything)1. Where can I get repaints for it?2. How do you turn on the panel/aisle lights? ( I see the buttons at the bottom of the overhead panel but those don't work when I click on them, they just give me one of those window expanding arrows <-> kind of like that)3. The computer moniters are black, how do I get them to turn on?4. I'm sure I read a post somewhere by Lefteris, asking if customers where willing to pay for a driver to be developed for the GoFlight MCP-Pro for FSX.I'm willing to pay. Is there anything in the pipeline, bearing in mind there isn't likely to be a huge demand for the product.Graham McAllister

I have built a simple cockpit with a customised extra keyboard (USB), I programme the the 737 autopilot MCP buttons amongst others using the PMDG keyboard mapping menu.Everything works fine, the next day I start flightsim and my PMDG 737 the keys are mapped differently. This does not help me as my extra keyboard has labels on them which indicates which button to press.How do I stop the customised buttons from changing, I fly alot on VATSIM so any help would be appreciatedThanksSteven from Oxford

Hi allI am very new to 747-400x and i am having some trouble with the LNAV,At the moment all i want to do is fly using the LNAV not the VNAV.I make a flightplan in fsbiuld and then export to the flightplan folder.I load the flightplan in the FMC clear all the flightplan Discontinueds.Just after take off i push the left AP and FD, set the ALT and then push the VS and then the LNAV button the plane fly to the first waypoint but then the flightplan does not move on and the aircraft just keeps try to get back to the first waypoint(IT NOT IN A HOLD).when the Aircraft get to the first waypoint the FMC just stays at that waypoint and does not move on to the next.Any help would b…

How do you set the virtual cockpit zoom levels so that I don't have to re-set them everytime I fly? I see that they all initialize at around zoom level 70 but I want them to open at zoom level 30. RTFM but couldn't find it.Thanks,

Any idea why when I use real world weather (static) in FS9 I always get winds aloft at 000/00 - there's never any wind up there - seems a bit unlikley to me ?

Fs2004 WindowsXP I am flying the B-7474-400 already ssince it has released.Normally I don't fly NDB bakens but now I want to land at DragonsKai Tak and then the NDB baken is helpful.But the needle is just turning slowly from al direcctions exceptin the good direction. I have been using the PMDG 737NG for a while now and there is something i cant figure out.When the aircraft is climbing through the flight levels it kind of looses its climb expecialy after 18000ft. I know as it climbs through the flight levels it slowly starts to decrease its climbing angle but what is happening is it drops down to almost no climb then it increases its climb to 2000-3000 fpm then it drops down again then back up again .This is happening weather i am using real weather or no weather also.I dont have this problem with Level-D 767,it is a nice steady climb.Can something be ajusted in the flight tuning section or somewhere else to stop this.I have installe…
