This may be known to most of you but I found this site quite interesting as it offers now the possibility to follow a real flight with google earth even in 3-D. Used in conjunction with flightaware (for flight planning purpose) it offers almost all you need to setup your own flight and simulate a real flight in sync following the real one on fboweb and your flight on another google earth instance.Regards,

I have the PMDG 737NG and 747-400/F Queen of the Skies. In reading the the manual, it suggests to map specific MCP to your joystick buttons for control of the A/T Discontinue, Set Toga, etc. I have profiled my X-52 Saitek for these specific functions but they do not work when I do an Abort takeoff and discontinue the A/T. I have gone into MSFS options trying to map there and I'm stumped.Could really use some expert advice on how to this type of mapping, as you see I'm not acquainted with in doing.Need help Please!!!!!!Ron Tanoury

ok, so I've been saving my last position and resuming from that saved situation a number of times, and I see that my engines are all belching black smoke.am I doing (or not doing) something that's causing this?if I start the sim out with a fresh start (as opposed to loading a previously saved flight), I don't see this.do tell.

I'd really like to know what would cause both autopilots to turn off during approach? I am on a normal ILS approach - AP1 and AP2 set, all looking good for touchdown less than a minute away, localizer and glidescope on track. Suddenly a siren and both APs switch off. A/C very wobbly, but a manual landing is fine. Had the approach configured ok in the FMC with VRef speed selected against flaps.Anyone any ideas? Or is this just a glitch, independent of anything I might have done/not done? Thanks.Martin

Ok, I just copied all the PMDG manual pdfs to a cd and was about to drop it off at Kinko's for printing/binding and while adding up the pages I notice DO NOT DUPLICATE at the bottom of all of them. I just bought the PMDG 737 full package and I dont feel like putting the 287 page wear on my printer. So can I still get these copied by Kinko's?

the TFC button works great when I'm connected to VATSIM. very cool, very useful.how about the weather?or, is there something that already works, and I just haven't figured it out yet?

hi when i am in fs9 i click on pmdg in the menu bar so as i can adjust the styles or any other tabs there my screen just goes black and i have to hit the return button to get back to the cockpit view, any ideas as to what im doing wrong.im using the 737 thanks, jim

Hi, Just purchased the 744X.....great aircraft! I have a question about the FS9 unifier. Since I have FSX installed on one PC and FS9 on another, can I use the unifier on the other PC? Or do both FSX and FS9 have to reside on the same machine?Thanks,Nick Kosmidis

Hello all,A few days ago I bought the box version of PMDG 747-400.But I can't use it for some strange way.This is what the problem is : After I installed the product and go to my FS9 and selected the 747 I crashes to my desktop when it's almost loaded in Flightsim.I don't know why but I did a re-install and keep having the same problem. So at this point I can't fly the 747 at all because it crashed even before it is loaded. And I only have this with the PMDG 747. I also have the PMDG 737 (box version) that one is installed first.Hope someone can help me with this.Regards,Guy

I just replaced my aging Radeon 9800XT with a XFX Nvidia 7950GT (that's the highest I could go with an AGP motherboard and Molex connector equipped P/S). FS9 works fantastic now except for one little bug.When I load any PMDG aircraft, the AIRAC loading times have tripled and the rotating aircraft in the menu is no longer antiailised (it used to be) and rotates a lot slower. This is probably a driver issue, I know, but why the longer load times for the AIRAC database? Antiailising works fine when flying in the sim itself, so I haven't had to use the third party program 'nhancer' to solve the notorious nVidia driver profiles problem.Kim

Hi, I'm about to re-intall FSX if I cant' fix this problem.Every time I load the game it comes up with a fatal error message regarding FSX.EXE, than it crashes to the desktop. I've done every tweak possible and nothing seems to be working.I really don't want to re-install everything again. My add-ons are: PMDG 747-400X, FSbuild, FSRealtime, FSUIPC4, Ultimate Traffic.I'm using Nvidia 7800 AGP graphic card with the latest drivers on Windows XP sp2 , CPU Pentium 4 2.60GHz , 4GB of RAM , FSX deluxe SP2.Any help would be great, it's getting very frustating.And if you think I should re-intall it all, what are the instalation order.Thanks , Kaue.

hi and good afternoon all,I purchased the pmdg 6/700 yesterday and every 3/4 seconds my mouse freezes for 3/4 seconds, and i get a massive frame drop. ive posted in another forum and was advised to ask here, and since then ive noticed its only after ive undocked a panel to move to another monitor,any advice would be much appreciated.regardspaul.

I've had the 747 for a while now. Haven't flown it in FSX yet, even though I've had it for about 2 and a half months. However, my issue is in FS9. Flying along, nice long haul route. Approaching the airport. Checklists are completed, ILS frequency tuned, localiser is active, press the LOC button on the panel and that's when my problems happen. The LOC button actually disables my joystick and does not arm the localiser at all. I have to go into the setup menu, enable the joystick again and fly it in manually. Solutions to this would be very welcome.Goran

Has anyone got the Redux 3D lights working with the PMDG737-600, 737-700? I think I followed the few steps necessary but they haven't worked for me - yet. Must be doing something wrong.Bill

Im just wondering if it is at all possible to customize the GPWS callouts in the PMDG 737, specifically altitude callouts, for example "500".I am aware that airlines may install different options for the GPWS altitude aurals and warnings on their 737s. I have recorded some of my own sounds and was wondering if I could replace the defualt sounds.CheersRoss

Just flown GCTS-LGAV with FSUIPC4.26. Everything went very well and smoothly, with realistic winds. Thanks very much for your hard work on FSUIPC, Pete!PMDG still giving surging/sagging speeds on descent, but it doesn't spoil the experience.Cheers, Richard

Well, I thought for sure I'd be able to figure this one but I'm not as smart as I thought. I've had the 737-44X for about a week and have enjoyed just plain flying to learn the aircraft. Then I downloaded the tutorials to get serious about the sim and began with firing up the aircraft, lesson 1. When I got to the FMC part, nothing I've been able to do would allow me to input anything. No airports, runways etc. I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere but for the life of me after hours of reading and experimenting I can't find out what I'm doing wrong (or not doing at all). Hi all,The PMDG 747 is so much better than the default FSX jumbos, I use it for almost all flights now. Due to some complications, I will not be able to have my cataracts removed any time soon. I cannot now read most of the displays - PFD, MFD, ND, EICAS, and the teeny tiny print on the CDU. Luckily, I've been using the sim long enough that I can do a cold and dark start without having to read anything on the overhead or the pedestal. I currently run it in almost-full-window mode, leaving the taskbar on the screen so I can access a program called the Virtual Magnifying Glasss to read the MCP. The screen reader I have can't read anything because almost all is graphical. If…

Every time I try to export a saved FSNav flightplan to the PMDG 737 I get a "flight plan export failed" warning. Sometimes the flight plan will still load under "CO_ROUTE" in the FMC...sometimes not. Yes, I DID search this forum...and there are 3 other posts asking the same basic question with no answer. One wasn't even replied to!?! Why does the PMDG have to load the AIRAC data every time a flight is created/started with the 737 (I always see a progress bar for all the data)? The PIC 737 and LevelD 767 don't exhibit this behavior? The data is loaded on install from Navigraph and no further "loading" appears with the other 2 add-ons? All of this leads me to believe that m…
