I have just downloaded the qantas repaint for 737-800. Quite often I can't tune radios and landing and runway lights don't work. When I was doing a flight to yssy from ybcs, I lost all electrical and hydraulic power and couldn't even see eicas etc. I'm not sure what's wrong, but it can't be 737 itself as I use the 700 all the time with no problems at all. Is anyone else having these problems and if so, how did you fix them.Cheer jim

Today I purchased the interface software for the MCP-Pro from GoFlight.A licence key is required from PMDG, but after inserting my details including the serial number of the MCP-Pro the reply is "Internal Server Error running license generator."Any help appreciated.Graham McAllister

What would I lose if I saved the panel folder from the 737-700, then installed the 737-8-900, then replaced ALL the panels with the original -700? What would not work, if anything? Vic

i dont know if this is an already covered question.But when i have successfuly landed on my destination airport, turn off the engines and establishing ground power again when i want to fly to another destination, when i takeoff again, a/p just seems to not work, i cant click the buttons and apprently it tries to establish at another altitude my guess is the initial approach altitude for some reason after landing (the first time) it disables the a/p for other flights any ideas?

Hi,A little help would be very welcome.I am using the PMDG load manager for configuring fuel and load requirements but I am getting some unusual results when approaching cruise altitude.Using FSbuild to define the flight plan with 747-400/RR engines specified, I estimate and uplift fuel for the trip, in this case EGLL - KJFK of around 154000 lbs.ZFW is around 500,000 lbs and actual takeoff weight around 652,000 lbs.I realise this is a little heavy at landing (I usually aim for around 8 tons) but I was anticipating a significant hold.Normal takeoff and departure, climb settings in FMC N1 thrust if I remember is around 1.56 during the climb but drops to 1.47 above FL240 usi…

Where's the overhead or fluorescent lighting so one can see what they are doing? Only in the VC? Huh, I NEVER fly VC. At night, while doing pre-flights, it's impossible to see the panel accurately. Sure, it's fine once all the switchology is done and your cruising along at FL360 but it's useless otherwise. Has any brilliant soul come up with a fix for this silliness or is my PMDG 737 only good in daylight hours? If that's the case...where do I apply for my 2D users discount? If it can only be safely flown 12 hours a day I should get 50% back...no? Sheesh!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a moving map specifically for the PMDG 747-400X ? Would like to have something that works in the cockpit.Thanks,Zach

Hi there,i love the PMDG Beech 1900 C Cargo version. So i imported this model in FSX. On a PMDG-Support-Site was written down how to do so. But unfortunately after the import the propeller texture is not transparent anymore. All the Trees, Buildings and clouds dissapear behind the propeller. That looks very ugly. Having just flown home on NZ6 (B744, NZAA-KLAX), I wondered about typical fuel, reserves and Cost Index for such long flights. I realize that winds and routing would change actual values. Also interesting in QF's flights YSSY to both KLAX and KSFO. I assume that the real aircraft have tables in their AOM that enable this to be calculated, and also flight planning software for dispatch would do this much easier, but how do you all make these calculations? Is there a s/w app that does it for the PMDG (incredible) aircraft, or does someone have some suggested values?Thanks- Bruce.

I had this problem once before and now after a system crash while flying the 747 it's back. The Packs can be heard on all outside views, even in the tower. It seem like they are even louder than normal in the cockpit.This happened while flying the PAX model so last time I was able to load the cargo model and everything when back to normal. Someone from tech said to try pressing 'Q' twice to reset it. I've tried both methods and also an uninstall/reinstall, and it's still there.I can go to the add-on menu and under PMDG sound, uncheck the 'allow sounds to play in external views' and it will stop. But then I can't hear any warning sounds when in outside view.Since the 747 w…

i have been experiencing problems with the 747x latest version xp fsuipc installed reg versionsuddenly the aircraft turs left and right eratically at angles way over the bank angle limit climbing decending stalling as if in serious turbulance . all i have is default weather on , such as a theme of heavy storms etc etc. the aircraft becomes unflyable on ap this way and a struggle to fly manually.seccondly after a few hours of flight some of the gauges freeze nd pfd and remain that way i have to shut down the sim. the ac still flies thoughkav

Hi, I am just wondering if the MD11 will install after other PMDG products ? Unlike the 737 and 747 which had to be installed in the correct sequence. I was so stupid not to make a backup for my pmdg 747 aircraft cfg.Then I made some changes to my lights section, wich i don't like...... (strobes not following flex wings)Could someone post me the original for fs9 ( if allowed by PMDG?), or working 3d shockwave lights cfg???

Hi.I think this is my first post here.Will the PIP (Performance Improvement Package) be included as an option in the PMDG package?Although it was never ordered by any airline will there be an option for the PCA (Propulsion Controlled Aircraft) option be available? Hey, I've seen pictures and videos of the real B744 ND and it has a full circle radius instead of a line and little markers for distances. Is there a reason why this is different in the aircraft because I think it looks cooler?

Greetings all,I've been reading the flight sim version of Tolstoy's "War and Peace", aka: the PMDG 747-400x manual. A LOT of reading. I have a question about V speeds. I'm pretty familiar with V1, V2, and Vref, but I'm not sure about something called "30ref". In the climb modes section, it indicates you should climb at "30ref +100" What exactly does the "30" signify? Obviously, I should be climbing at 100kts plus whatever "30ref" is, but I'm stumped as to what that is. Thanks for your help.Ron

In the FMC, the Hold button I am assuming allows you to enter a holding pattern (could not find documentation in the manual). I am assuming you downselect the fix to LSK 6L. A few questions:- What is the PPOS> in LSK 6R ? How does it work ?- Is there an option on the type of holding pattern (std right hand turns or can it manage non-standard left turns ?)- Is there an option on holding pattern duration (1 minute, 2 minutes ?)- How's the holding pattern terminated ? Hey there,I just saw the youtube video of the MD11. It is very dark and the animated lighting in the cockpit is not very bright, which combined with the poor youtube image quality, makes it hard judge the quality. The way lighting can be changed is incredibly cool though. I have no doubt the MD11 is gonna be another breathtaking piece of PMDG engineering. It would be nice if someone could confirm if the night lighting in the cockpit in reality is a bit brighter than that, especially when light intensity is dialed up fully.Now that the video is on, hopefully we get to know more about this stunning product (very) soon.Thanks,Dirk

I recently bought the 747-400X. It looks like a great product, but even on my fairly modern, high powered PC it runs like absolute garbage :( Without the 747, I can run FSX on fairly high settings and manage 25-30 fps most of the time. With the 747, I get 12-14 fps tops even with every other detail setting in the game turned to the lowest possible setting. It's really frustrating, to say the least.I've tried all the various performance tweaks included, such as adjusting the panel refresh rate, and the other suggestions made in the manual.
