I have a new video that I've posted on Youtube. It's kind of been something I've wanted to produce for a while but just never got too. Over the March break I was able to worked on it. I wanted to use the equipment at work to produce a short video of me flying the PMDG 747 on flight sim. Oh and the reason for the widescreen look is, that is what I see when I'm flying. For all you 2d screen flyers, this is why I fly in VC all the time. I Hope you enjoy it. I had to break it down to two parts as Youtube does not allow video's over 10min. When the 737 is on an intermediate short layover between cities to refuel, drop off and reboard, how much of the plane is shut down? I know the engines are shut down and the APU or ground power is used, but are the overhead and major systems left on to make for a quicker departure to the final stop? Thanks. Tom

Greetings all I am desperate for some assistance, my fs9 has slowed down completely with sturdy game play I think this is due to some sort of a virus within my computer although I did a virus scan nothing gets picked up has anybody else experienced this similer problem and know how to rectify this annoyance, I really do not want to rrestart my computer to factory settings as this would mean I will lose alol the data files for fs9 that I have anxciously built of the years, all your assistance will be much appreciated, thanks.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gif

OK - I have to give in and post. I searched and tried and tried and I can't figure it out.One time it works, the other it doesn't - ILS approaches. Working FMC flight plan, ILS approach selected in FMC, frequency confirmed as correct and active in NAVRAD, and LOC needle won't fill in, it just will not track it - G/S will fill in and track sometimes, but LOC will not. And it only happens 50/50 - everything looks ok - I can't find anything wrong. Happens for both straight on approach and at an angle, high and low altitude. I don't have "Allow G/S capture before LOC" selected in the PMDG menu" All are straight approaches aligned to face runway head on from major distance.Any…

Just a quick question. Have just rebuilt my PC after 3 years and FS2004 is humming along nicely. I even get decent frame rates in FSX now. I had bought 747-400 QotS in Oct 05 for FS9 and reinstalled it maybe twice in the interim when I changed certain components. However, I tried accessing the url on my order and I get the message How do I go about reinstalling the excellent product? I've tried contacting PMDG by email with no luck - yes, I've checked my spam folder and there's nothing there either.All the bestjj

I posted this note in another forum, but was wondering if anyone had an explanation.Basically, there is a big difference between the way the PMDG, LevelD, and other engine fan blades spin in FSX, and how they used to spin in FS9. In FSX, they look like they are shaking back and forth. More of an agitating (washing machine) look, than circular spinning.This is very noticeable on engine shutdown. Rathar than a nice decline, and spool-down effect they "shake" until they just stop dead. In the FS9 version, you would see the gradual spool-down, and the fans spinning gradually down until stopping... even windmilling a bit.Is this just an FSX "feature", or is there something…

Hello AllI am sure this has been asked before but I cannot find a reference on the Forum. I want to make realistic flight plans and export/import them into the PMDG 747 FMC. I used to know how to do this, but it has taken me 18 months to finally upgrade my computer to run FSX with PMDG 747 at a nice pace. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction. This is just an FYI for those wanting to use the Garmin GPS500 in their 747-400x. You definitely don't need the Garmin for this great addon. But I find it usefull on occasion just as an additional informational resource while flying. I don't have charts and I hate popping out to the map screen for anything.1)you'll need to tweak the panel.cfg's in BOTH the PMDG747-400/Panel folder and the PMDG747-400/Panel.vc folder. Once you've found those two .cfg's BACK THEM UP! Each time that I bring up FS9 I get a warning- " PMDG737.dll- potentially incompatible AC or Software" '"Do you wish to load this module or not" Should I delete this from the modules section or not, if I say yes or no to the question it seems to make no difference to the AC it is rather a nuisance. I find when I fly back-to-back legs I am unable to clear the event times numbers logged from the first flight. After leg #1 I clear out the DEP?ARR airports from the RTE page and then enter in the new DEP/DES and initialize ACARS again with those airports. The event times still show the previous leg and if I go ahead and fly upon arrival those old event times will still be showing. I have tried manually deleting them and receive an INVALID DELETE message so I am running out of ideas on how to make this work.

Captains,I seems to have a bit of a problem with my new PMDG 747X wings. If i select a wing view (right of left doesn't matter) it seems that the outer part of the flap is always pointing down on both wings. I discovered that there is also a problem when i lower the flaps. Some part's of the flaps doesn't move at al! See the pictures below. General question..I've heard different things from different people, some say it's ok, some say it's not... Would an airline pilot use asymetric thrust on a 744 to ease turning in some circumstances, perhaps turning at the end of a runway for example to taxi back along the runway to a terminal. CheersCraig

Hello everybody,I have a PMDG 737-800/900 pack. I don't have any problems with 900, but I just can't install any liveries to 800. First, I installed a Pegasus Airlines livery. After that I downloaded more but I couldn't install any of them. Texture info of each livery exist in aircraft.cfg and the texture files of each livery exist too. I reinstalled the plane, but Pegasus Airlines livery was still visible in FS9 menu, i opened it, the plane was looking just gray. I can't install liveries which are not exe too. Hi all I just finished upgrading my computer for FSX--what a treat! New Guad core --4 gig of ddr3--ATI 3870x2 Etc---the sim is working like a champ---BUT My new PMDG 747-400 has a problem, I flys great and looks great but when I start to operate anything on the instrument panel, all of the Glass screens go blank.Anybody have any ideas--otherwise the sim is working perfectlyCheers
