    Hi all,Just a quick one.My puter is running like a dog and has been for some time, so a week or so ago I made the decision to do a fresh install of windows and thus lose everything, in order to minimise the loss I got myself a nice external hard drive and moved across the most important things, will probably take me about a week to get FS 9 back up and running, but at the moment it has become an absolute nightmare to run, the PMDG 747 used to run really well, with a great frame rate, now it is a slide show.Anyway back to my point, I have found the install file for it, but I was wondering where I would find the licence?For example my Level-D had a file on my C-drive in a c…

    hi alli am practising manual landings in the 747 so i am manually calculating the speed / flaps and trying to stay on alignment,i have noticed that sometimes in my practises i am landing below the REF speed, i.e REF 143 and i actually put the throttles to idle 50' above and by the time the wheels touch the ground i am at 130kts, i do make a beautiful landing as the wheels just kiss the tarmac :( however i wanted to know whether in real life would this be a dangerous thing to do, i.e land below REF?here is one georgeous landing i just did!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/186800.jpg

    Well I wanted to do a bit of hand flying today while still in the climb mode. I have a key set up to dis-engage the autothrottle which I hit and got the warning and the message. I notice the auto-pilot was still tracking with LNAV/VNAV so all good so far. Before I got too far I thought I would make sure I could get the throttles back into auto mode so clicked the key again but and the message went away but the PFD did not display any speed mode at all. Hit th TOGA button and nothing. Turned off VNAV and back on and still no change. I mucked around for a while and in the end the way I got it back was to put the MCP into altitude hold and then back into VNAV mode.Surely the…

    Morning,I have an Issue with all of my PMDG products for FS9. I re-installed all of the products and installed them in to order that I was suppose to but when I start fliht sim ans select the aircraft and hit fly everything is normal until I open up my FMC. It is a black screen for everything the 737 747 and 747F. I also have the 747X and it works fine and the FMC shows but for some reson the FS9 version will not work Please Help I Love PMDG But I Need To Use The FMC!!! I also attached a picture for reference

    Hi All,On an autoland or manual landing off an ILS the spoilers deploy perfectly and reverse thrust activates normally - as one would expect. The aircraft is brought to a stop and then instant replayed.The problem:When instant replay is played from a position on short finals, the aircraft is shown flying with the spoilers deployed and the thrust reversers deployed.I then tried stowing the spoilers and thrust reversers after landing and instant replay showed the aircraft flying normally however, after landing, the spoilers and thrust reversers did not deploy when in fact they had.I have also tried setting the parking brake after landing but the problem persists.The sim se…

    Hi,I don't know if this issue is standard behaviour of the 737 or not, so I'll give a detailed description of the problem.This issue only happens on the 737, and not on the 747 (FS2004).Prior to takeoff I select 250 kts. in the MCP IAS window. I have the autothrottle armed, and the flightdirector switch on. Then I start the takeoff roll, and engage TO/GA when the engines have spooled up to 70% N1. After takeoff when "ARM" is displayed aprox. 1.000ft AGL, I press VERTICAL SPEED to set +1.500. Then the MCP IAS "jumps" up with 20 kts. (in this example to 270 kts.)     I have numerous aircraft installed in FS9 at all follow the FMC, however the 747 follows the first waypoint, but doesn't not cycle through the rest of the way points. The rest of my PMDG aircraft work fine. Does anyone have any ideas?Brentmt

    Any advice guys ???I am stuck with this... Flew the pmdg 747 to klax lastnight from egll then back today, 200nm from egll the plane descends and will not come back up, with or without FD, AP,and AT the FLCH button is on and will not come off.

    I have had the 737NGs for some years and they have always been 100% reliable (well, 99.99%). But suddenly the LNAV function is showing very odd behaviour. Can anyone please help (FS9)? Previous posts haven't lead me to any conclusions ...The a/c doesn't seem to want to follow the flight path - I've posted some screenshots showing the cockpit instruments and FSNavigator. When the 737 approaches a waypoint, it bends quite sharply away from it, to intercept the solid magenta line, placing it off course according to the GPS and FSNav.   17. Hi all,I have a couple of problems:1. I can't get a saved 747X flight to load after I start FSX. I can only load it successfully if I load the default (Trike) flight first. I sometimes get a fatal error as well.2. In the UPS 747 X freighter version and the KLM freighter version, the map holder panel (just below the captain's side window and the FOs side window)) flickers constantly in VC view. It seems to be OK in the 747X passenger versions (eg the Lufthansa and BA versions).     Haven't had this happen before. While in cruise, in LNAV and VNAV, all of a sudden I hear "Bank Angle!" Sure enough, the plane is in a steep turn off course and I realize LNAV has mysteriously turned itself off. Happened several times over eastern Florida, with no intervention from me. VNAV is still engaged. I simply hit the switch again and the plane turned back toward its original course. Any ideas what caused this?? Thanks. Tom

    I have a question about 737 and VNAV PATH.I've been reading through dozens of VNAV posts, but couldn't find anything (yet). In the picture below I have tried to draw a VNAV PATH with multiple altitude constraints (not to scale).I was surprised to see that the FMC calculates the VNAV PATH as in the red dotted line. This means that, when flying, the initial descent is at (app.) VS -2400, whereas the following descents are at (app.) VS -800.     My apologies if this is somewhere on this forum. I have looked and looked and I can't find anything specific.My question: Where can I find something that will tell me how to integrate the PMDG Load Manager with the PMDG 737NG so that it actually puts passengers into a flight? I mean, something that tells you exactly HOW to use it with the plane. I can find some things but nothing specific. Maybe I'm just a dimbulb.This is the last hurdle (of many), to enjoying this plane the way I think it was meant to be enjoyed and I'd like to get it out of the way so that joy may be unconfined. :-) Oh yeah, this is the FS9 version.

    I hope this helps out newbies to start enjoying PMDG's excellent 747-400X the day you buy it, without the need to study 100s of pages of documentation and tutorials, searching aviation-related forums endlessly, getting frustrated and pulling your hair out (hahaha), when after repeatedly trying to fly your favourite 3 hr flight (or better yet a 9 hr altlantic crossing) things go exponentially wrong when all you want and deserve is a perfect autolanding after your newbie status is testing your patience to the breaking point.Of course, I am only trying to help out others with some points here and it is not my intention to bash any aspect of this excellent product (beware on …
