PMDG,Will the MD-11 use the same FlighPlans format and folder as the previous PMDG aircraft? ..FlightSimPMDGFlightPlans in .rt2 format? How about the existing ..PMDGNavData and ..PMDGSidStars folders, are those locations re-used as well?Just curious to know if FSBuild2 PMDG-flighplan exports will already work with the MD-11. Otherwise, I'd like pass along any required new information to Ernie Alston, the developer for FSBuild2, so that if necessary, he may have a working FSBuild2 export capablity for the MD by the time it is released.Thanks for any information you might have.Regards,

Hello everyone,Today as I was my new overclock in FSX with the Queen , I came up with an interesting finding which I'm not sure if anyone has noticed before.I was flying in New York area (known as very FPS unfriendly) with weather set to "major thunderstorm" (also not FPS friendly). I had my PMDG gauge refresh rate set to 15 to improve performance. Sadly the FPS was not very great in New York area. I was only getting around 15-22 with target set to unlimited. NOTE that I am using virtual cockpit all the time here.Then, out of curiosity I tried setting the PMDG display update rate to 25fps, and to my surprise I got a noticable increase in performance! Hallo everyone!Why does the FMC calculate the gross weight a little bit larger than it is? The empty weight of a B737-800 is 41413 kg. I boarded 20217 kg of payload. I made it through the MSFS Fuel and Payload Menu. So the ZFW should be 41413+20217=61630 kg. But when I pressed the LSK1L button (yeah, I know it's a cheat, but still...) the FMC displayed 61,8 tons. Where are these 200 kg from? And which value is the correct one -- the FMC auto calculated or the one I've calculated myself?Thanks for your assistance!

HiI cant map keys from PMDG to FSUCPI, FSUCPI works fine and is set to the keys.Example: in PMDG CTRL SHIFT 7 = Autopilot disengage, in FSUCPI CTRL SHIFT 7 = joystick button X, when I press the button fsucpi is working, but the command doesnt work on the keys alone, or joystick.Please helpRgds

Hi,Forgive me if this has been posted earlier but I could'nt find anything.I bought and downloaded PMDG boeing 747-400 normal and cargo.When I get to the validation I get a message that the installer could not validate my data probibly because of my firewall. When I turned off my firewall but I still get the same messages.Now I cannot install the thing an I feel I am out of options. Has anyone had similar expiriences and how did they solve it. I spend whole yesterday searching on the internet but very little people have the same problems.Regards,Appie

Hi guys,Recently I've been having trouble adding repaints to my PMDG fleet. I have the 737-600/700, 737-800/900 and the PMDG 747-400, all for FS9.I put the texture folder into the aircrafts folder, then open the aircraft.cfg and add all that. I've checked all the additions to make sure they're correct. I copied and pasted and just edited the texture and flightsim. fields for one aircraft and renamed the texture folder and it still didn't work.This is happening on all 3 of my products. Pretty annoying because my VA just launched the 744 and I can't get the repaint to work.I've added a number of repaints before, mainly to the 744 and they've all worked, don't get why now th…

Hello simmers,I moved from Vista 32bit to a Vista 64 bit OS. Now a lot of problems are gone (e.g. the OOM problem), but anotherone occures:the installation of the PMDG 747X was fine, the plane can be used with the two or three "in house liveries". But currently I`m not able to use any other liverie provided by the PMDG webpage. The installation of the liverie is fine always, but I can`t even single out one liverie after starting the FSX.Can anyone help?Joerg

Greetings!Great forum relating to an even greater product.PMDG 747-400x.... taking flight simming to the next level!!Although I have ALL 475 pages of the maunal printed out and in a binder (airline style!), I cannot find any information regarding the starting/operating of the APU in flight. Hey Guys, I can not even began to tell you how excited I am about the updates for the 747-400(FS9) :-yellow1 , and even more excited about the MD11:-jumpy . My question I have is about the Express Line. When the 1900 was announced, I thought that the express line was going to continue with more smaller aircraft after the 1900 for the caps left between the big birds being released. Is the express line alive, or was the 1900 the complete line? Just courious!Thanks,Jonathan

I recently installed the PMDG 747 on my computer:2GB RamWindows Vista 32Dual Core Processor (i don't kno how many ghz but i don't think its a hardware problem)Anyway, when i try to load it it freeze for about 30s and then says a fatal error has occured and it is restarting FSX. The 747F works so i assume it is a relativly minor fault.Does anyone know how to fix this?ThanksAndrew Kenyon

Hi - while on short final into KLAS RW25L last night, my system crashed. Upon system reboot and restart of FS9, I received the message that PMDGOptions.dll is corrupted. (It also corrupted my LVLD.dll file). I have both the full 737NG series and QoS in FS9. Is there any way to extract/reinstall the PMDGOptions.dll file without doing a complete reinstallation of both the NG and Qos packages?? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,Jim

After many many hours of flying the freighter I am wondering whether I have found a problem relating to the position of the beacon light on top of the fuselage.There is red light glass simulated at the correct position but if the beacon light is switched on, a second red light positioned about 10 feet in front of the proper light appears and is blinking. The original light with the glass stays dark.Can this be corrected? It looks as if the position of the beacon light is handled by the model file, right?Thanks and regardsRoland

Long time PMDG 737 pilot here...My flaps indicator has stopped working on my PMDG 737 (600/700/800/900). The flap handle and the flaps move just fine but the indicator shows no movement of the flaps even when they are down, in any position. I thought at first I had a hydraulic failure or something but the flaps move just fine, it's the indicator that is broken.Any help would be appreciated.Al Stiff

Just wondering, when I get my new rig, will I be able to transfer my PMDG aircraft folders directly into FS9 on the new machine without any problems? Or, do I have to re-install everything from scratch? Would this be the same for any payware aircraft I own or is it just not that simple? I normally backup all my payware installation files, but the cd where I have backed up the PMDG files appears to be defective.Regards

Hi guys,I have a problem that I have never seen nor read about ever. I loaded the 737-800, engines running and brought up the FMC. There was no menu or anything on the screen. Also, I tried selecting the A/T switch and the indicator light would not light, but was on in the MFD panel also, the CMD and the FD were also on in the MFD but the indicator light would not work.I have tried to attach a few screen shots but was unable too. Why, I don't know, but for whatever reason, I still have this problem.I've tried clicking below to choose attachments, but it doesn't work either. HiI have several questions regarding the 747X and am hoping you can help!1. Left Veer during roll-out: Irrespective of whether I perform a CATIII autoland or a manual land, the aircraft always veers to the left during roll-out and exiting the runway. Taxiing to the gate, the plane always pulls to the left too and I have to steer with almost full right joystick to compensate this. I deactivate the autothrottle before "Retard", disable the F/D whilst braking and disengage the aurtopiot completely before exiting the runway. I also check the rudder is centred. No matter what airport I land at, the plane always pulls left and is virtually unsteerable. Have I perhaps missed som…

Can anyone please help why is it that when I am flying 22,000 or more and am flying armed with the VNAV on sometimes goes overspeed naturally because I am loosing height. The question is what is the correct procedure to adapt in this situation is it the airbrakes and is there an option so that if this happens the a/c will correct itslef in such a situation.The thing is if I am flying with " the realism settings " as hard if this thing happens more than twice it gives as the a/c have been overstressed and so as if it crashed and I have to restart again.Any help on the matter please? I have just down loaded the above aircraft and after install when I try to select it FSX crashes. I have read an article about fixing the DLL.XML File and in there it says that Wilcos Feel There PIC 737 is causing the fault. I have wilcos 737 installed if I repair this file does it mean the wilco product will no longer operate.Next question is what is a "windows text editor" and where do I find one. The instructions seem to be have written for people that are very computer litterate not for people like me who have very little knowledge about computers who expect when Ive spent 60 euros on a program to be able to install and use.My system is: Vista Ultimate 32bit Service …

This one has been asked before, a year ago, but I've never seen an answer to it. I love the 747X but have one frustration with it and that is not being able to see a list of stored flight plans and be able to select from that list (a la 737). The manual says that this was planned to be added at a later date - is that still the case and it is proposed to be added at some point?TIA
