I have tried to open my cargo doors via the option setting doors in the PMDG menu bar on FSX , but the cargo doors doesn`t want to open. The only door that is working is number 1L with the Shift + E. option.I know I am doing something small wrong here. Any help will be appreciated.Thanks in advanceJohan

Greetings!I just discovered that I have several MB's of "autosave" files in the PanelState folder of my 747-400X. I'm assuming that these are created in case of a "mid air" PC crash.Is there any way to disable this autosave function? Or is there a way to limit the number of files that are saved?As is usual, thanks for all the assist!

While hunting for Virtual cargo airlines that use the MD11 I came across the realworld FEDEX site. It looks like they have equiped a few of there MD11 aircaft with a anti missile system through a deal with Northrop Grumman.It seems a little extreme but I guess since 9/11 not much shocks me nowadays, so does anyone know if other airlines are doing this? and are we gonna have big fat anti missile pods hanging of our shiny new MD11's?Rob

Many years ago (1962 to be precise if you must!) I was aboard an Air Canada DC8 from Calgary to Toronto. We had just nicely started our descent into CYYZ when there was, suddenly, very loud engine noise and heavy vibration shaking the whole aircraft. All passenger conversation stopped and there were many pale faces looking nervously at each other. By way of emphasis, Air Canada DC8s were equipped with Rolls Royce engines- which definitely were not whisper quiet!After perhaps a minute- seemed much longer, a voice on the PA announced- " This is the Captain- we apologize for the noise and vibration but due to late clearance into Toronto, we have been using reverse thrust to …

This is an intermittent problem but regular enough to be very annoying.Can anyone shed any light on why FS9(.1) freezes up, maybe 25% of my landings in PMDG 737s - doesn't seem to happen in any other a/c (and occurs at all airports) - when I press F1 (mapped to my Saitek X52) on landing. Instead of cutting throttle after reverse thrust, the screen immediately freezes up. I am still getting sounds but have to close FS9 to get out of the situation.One of those things that is going to be the devil to troubleshoot I imagine (especially as it is not predictable, but I'm posting in case this rings a bell with anyone.Thanks,Martin

I have a new computer that is running vista. I transfered my 747-400 PMDG from my old computer which had XP. Everything works fine except the auto pilot will not engage. It worked fine on XP. Any suggestions ? thanks.

I was watching a youtube video showing checklists, and noticed the demand pumps were set after pushback, instead of during the Before Start Check. I was just about to comment on it, but checked the Checklist PDF provided, with the 744X. which verified, it should be during the Before start check. Then I looked in the Normal Procedures PDF, and that one indicated, it is done at Pushback (After the Before Pushback check but before Engine start.). So my question is, which is the correct procedure, the one in the Checklist or the Normal Procedures? Or does it matter?Thanks!

Hi guys,If memory serves, a few years ago the FAA has restricted the use of the stabilizer tank in the 744, and also set minimum fuel levels for the centre tank (it should never run dry).I believe there was a problem with fuel pumps being hazardous when running dry, so without being covered in fuel.Does anyone know how this situation is today?Is the stab tank still prohibited??Thanks in advance,Wijnand (EHBK)

Hey Everybody,I was wondering if anyone knows of any addon or a feature that can be used to practise non-normals like: Aborted Engine Starts - Hot, Hung, Wet. Rapid Decompressions etc. on the Wonderful PMDG 737 800/900 series.There's a detailed list of Abnormal Procedures in the Manual but no way to practise them in the FS.Thanks a lot,With Regards,Bhaskar Krishna

Okay so PMDG flyer's this is the deal. I have spent the last 32 hours all my days off studying The Microsoft flight simulator X. I am not new to flight simulation for as I used 2004 for about four to five years. I'm also not new to PMDG. I have used their 737 800 and 900. So I'm used to add on programs tweaking CFG files uninstalling and reinstalling the flight sim. Now back to the point. Like I said I've spent the last 32 hours messing around with the CFG file adding removing programs starting and stopping and writing down all the information that I've seen.
