Right now this 747X update is absolutely splendid but I do have one tiny little minor question. Hi, I'm just using PMDG744X. Its function of activating failures is great! However, I think the lowest probability I can set is too high. I can only reduce it to 1/10hrs. In that case, the aircraft is really troublesome. I Guess the probability of real flight might be only 1/500hrs or 1/1000hrs. Is that any method to deal with it? By the way, I would love to know that where does PMDG store the configuration files of failure. Then, I can make a program to change the probability to 1/10hrs maybe 1 out of 100 times flying in order to reduce the probability of failure. Thanks...

Hey, i was just wondering what the added option in the PMDG Options under "Autobrakes" section did? The "High Decel Rate", sounds pretty explanatory but what is really the purpose of this and how much of a big difference does it make?Bryan

If you set up the FMC for takeoff and set a reduced thrust using TO1 or 2 or Assumed temp, for e.g, and then you decide to takeoff completely manually without the assistance of the TOGA function, should you be able to exceed the calculated N1 setting displayed in the FMC and firewall the thrust levers to the max or would the FMC still restrict you to the calculated N1 only? I ask because I just did a test of fully manual takeoff with the thrust levers and found that I was able to exceed the FMC calculated N1 and go to max N1 which was surprising to me. I am wondering if this is the way the thrust delivery is supposed to work. Appreciate any replies, thanks!Jonathan

My current version of TCAS2v7.dll is 1.1.4, most likely over written by an older version when I added an aircraft that came out BEFORE the queen (FS9, also the F model).Yes I have read the FAQ's about how to get the file updated and back to normal...."The simplest way to replace the dll is to open your original 747-400 installer (not the updater) and run the installer. Hello,I am having a problem with my EICAS display, the graphic information overlaps on the screen. I included a screen capture of the problem. I'm running FSX with SP1, SP2. Operating system Windows XP, I tried all the different screen resolutions and its the same on all of them only other res. is blury or that type of thing. In some instances, in order to match published STARS, I would like to reduce speed at specific waypoints using the FMC. At times, it is done easily (ex: 240/ in scratch pad + upload to appropriate right LSK + activate) but, at other times, the FMC simply refuses to accept. I get "Invalid Entry". Yet, if I inject ex: 240/3000A, which is the speed intended plus the altitude already in the FMC, all goes OK. Can PMDG or someone explain this FMC's behaviour (or is this a bug?) Yesterday, I saw a movie on YouTube about PMDG 747-400X. I was surprised that the movie was recorded with a high fps. In the movie, I can easily see that the settings are all pretty high. I have a fps with 10-20 in VC since he has 40... Is video card so so so important? I heard that CPU is the most important in running FSX before... Which is true? What can I do to raise my fps without decrease my graphic setting or buy new hardware?

Hello,Despite the update that was just released, when flying in turbulent weather the 747 tips from one side to another. The autopilot cant keep the wings level or the heading/LNAV track.I'm using FSUIPC wind smoothing, and the FSUIPC turbulence settings are all normal which should work with all airplanes. And so it does, just that the 747X seems to be very unstable.Any solution to this problem as I cant really fly this plane if it starts banking toward 90 degrees soon after takeoff. My balance/load is all normal and within limits?

Hi,Since the update I can't set up my FMC from KSEA - it gives me, "KSEA err: 16R rwy unknown" message and won't let me pick any departure runway or arrival runway, sids, or stars. It worked fine prior to the install of the new update. Tried flying from a different airport "KSFO" - it worked as long as KSEA isn't on the flight plan? I don't know of any other airports with the same problem. KSEA doesn't work due to error.I'm using FS9 with the update and no AIRAC added other than what came with the original installer and update. Hello simmers,One small headache which requires some expert advise from the experts. I contacted support for help and Paul kindly gave me a link to download v2.1, the full version, only after un-installing my old aircraft which took hours to repair and installing the new one the problem persists. Basically the ASI is not working which obviously has the flow on effect that all it's associated systems are inoperative ie auto-throttle to name one!Besides the obvious and going backwards, has anyone come across this problem and how have they fixed it...I am still waiting for help from support but in the meantime...A hopeful thanks,Russ.

Hello,I have installed the new 744 update for FS9.After I exceuted a normal takoff and retracted the gear and flaps, I connect the AP, after a while, the AT disconnects with a couple of bleep warnings, and I am unable to reconnect. No warnings on EICAS or FMC and I can never reconnect the Autothrottle. I have to continue with manual throttle, which messes up a lot.Gow can I correct this?Any help and ideas appreciatedMyamoto Musashi

I am still having trouble with FPS on 2D cockpit of all 737 series. No problems with 747-400,747-F, Level-D 767 or default FS9 planes. Rates drop from 30 to 8-9 in cockpit view. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after 30-45 seconds or so. If I pan or use any other view, rates are steady around 30 as they are in all other aircraft. Rates then jump wildly-back up to 30 and immediately down to 8-9-so a lot of stuttering.I can list my specs but since the 737 used to work, don't see how it's a hardware issue. Running an Nvidia 8800 and quadcore HP.I have deleted FS.config but no change either. Any thoughts?Thanks.Mark Kessinger

After installing the update, I figured the load/save would now be working. It is sorta. When I load a saved flight, then the panel states, the tail logo light is stuck on and I lose engine exhausts. Instead of 4 trails, there is only one behind the tail.I can however continue the flight which I could not do before the update.Bob Artim

Hi Everyone:Just wondering - I know it was said that the 737 NG would one day be available for FSX. Is this no longer a project PMDG is going to work on, or is it still the intention of PMDG to make an FSX version? Until that time, I really don't have the desire to run FSX, as the 737 is by far my favorite, etc.Chris Catalano
