Hi, I was looking on youtube for good video but I never find good one, that shows for example the way to fly a sid manually or some different approach for takeoff or landing.I start to read the Type Rating Lesson wich i find good to learn the approach to opearte this bird and i still reading it when i have time.It would be nice to see some pro doing some intresting takeoff and landing.Even using FSRecorder and upload the reply can be usefull to see how things work on proper machine.I am asking this because i try to train myself on fly sid manually but the accelaration is so much powerfull that i have an hard time to follow a complex sid.The only way I can menage to do it …

I've posted the same message in avsim.com support forum & emailed to PMDG's but got no replies, so I'm re-posting my enquiry here. I"ve recently bought a new comptuer and re-installed everything including the PMDG744 for FS9. The newest update and sound updtae has already been installed. However, I discovered that when I"m airbone, the 2D Cockpit is having a sound problem. The sound of wind/engines heard is very abnormal. I dont' know how to describe it, but it's like the sound 'chocking' or 'lag', just like what you hear when using a speaker with poor quality. In VC or Spot plane view there's no such a problem. Hello everyone,I'm fully aware a lot has already been posted and written on this subject. However after reviewing these posts and remarks I still did not find any solution for my probs.After reinstalling my FS with all PMDG add-ons due to a system failure,I'm stumbeling on a altitude and fuel problem on each flight with the PMDG 747-400. The following is not a huge problem but it's annoying, nonetheless. Bottom Line, sometimes I get what I would describe as a 'ghost panel' when I put the mouse cursor in certain areas of the 747-400 panel ie: I might be tooling about on the MCP and half the screen reveals the OHD panel. Moving the cursor to another area corrects this immediately but it peeves me. Is it a setting or summat? Or is it my old 5900XT feeling the strain? It happens in the LD767 as well but not in the 737-800, curiously. Anyone?Jon

I have tried contacting PMDG support 4 times since Sunday using Yahoo mail and I still have not had any response or notification that my email was even recieved. I am trying to re-download the 747-400X which I purchased a few months ago. Please advise. Thank you.

The PMDG site has gone stale with the "soon to be release of the 737 for FSX".I hear no news on this. The 747-400 is great, but I miss the 737NG for FSX. Any news on the release date?

I've tried this approach twice now using a Grove STAR.Apart from the fact that it puts an unnecessary divertion to left to ENOBY and GROVE reoprting points (which I delete) I'm stillleft with a stange dogleg on final approach around the two fixes FF and CF. I've tried deleting them but then I lost my FAF and messed up my descent.Any idea why it does this please ?

I notice that PCAviator, in its "new products" is listing the Aerosoft CD-ROM versions of both the FSX 747-400 and MD-11 as being available and on sale.Now, unless something's happened very quickly at PMDG, I tend to be rather skeptical about the MD-11's "availability." Am I correct in assuming that their offer of the boxed 747 is likewise jumping the gun?-- Jim Walley

Hi all,It seems like I've seen it before but I can't find it. I'm looking for the link that gives the order of installation for all of the PMDG product Updates beginning with the based version 737NG. Does anyone know the link that lists all of these products in the order they're supposed to be installed?Ken.

My 737 CD is split. I ran over it with my swivel chair. Not very smart I know. So, I threw it away a few weeks ago thinking that all the 737 files are backed up anyway. But, when I moved them over to my new computer, my FS freezes and I get the old "FS has encountered a problem...." pop-up. It appears it is with the pmdg_737ng_main.gau file. Anyway, it will not load. Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to purchase the program again? BTW, I do still have the receipt from my original purchase.Thanks.

HiHope someone can help me out. How do I manualy program the following waypoints in the EGLL 27R WOBUN2F departure. The two waypoints in the sid I am struggling with is the D10LON and D16LON.According to a manual I found that someone created to go with the ITVV DVD of Virgin Flight VS19 from EGLL to KSFO the waypoints are known as follows:-On the SID, D10LON is now D312J and D16LON is D333P

Happy New Year!Just noticed that in the FSX Unifier update for FS9, theres no Master Warning for Overspeed. Trust me, ive reinstalled and even got this bird to go to Mach 1 with only the default FS9 OVERSPEED warning in the bottom right corner. Just thought id point it outThanksBryan

Hello All,First off, love the PMDG products. I've had the 747-400 for a while, but just recently got the 737NG series. It took a little getting used to, but for the most part, I'm used to it. However, I have this one problem that is really keeping me from using it and enjoying it. After takeoff, when I activate LNAV and VNAV, the plane continues trimming up and pitching up very violently until it stalls. The initial altitude restriction on my next waypoint is not so high and close such that the plane would have to do this to "normally" reach it. I've tried the derated takeoff and climb, as well. I've read the manual (though quite possibly missed something important), and …

I recently purchased the 737NG package, and have had a lot of pleasure using it. I'm also thinking of buying the 747 package, but there's just one thing I'm curious about.I've accumulated quite a few flight plans in the format which PMDG uses, including some long-range ones which would be more suited to 747 operations (I wouldn't think of using the 737 to fly London to Sydney, for example). I'm just wondering whether the flight plans for both the 737 and 747 packages are held in the same folder ??

Hi guys,I'm really enjoying the 747, I have many add-on's but this is the best airliner ever!I have a problem with the refresh rate of the 2D and Virtual Cockpit:every time I open the PMDG menu I see that my settings by default are set at 12 in 2D and 9 in VC.Whenever I try to change these values and close that window, everything seems the same as before,no changes at all.I go to recheck those values and altough I changed them previously I find them back at the default settings(12 and 9).My frame rates for the sim are very good(the scenery settings are at minimum) but it's very difficult to fly the A/C by reference to the instruments(ex. ILS raw data).Does anybody have an…

I can get the Wx range rings to come up on the 744's ND (in FS9) but only for that particular FS session. Once I turn off the PC and reboot, I have to re-edit the INI file to turn on the rings once again. Is this the best it gets?Jonathan

I did search a lot on the internet for the proper working of the LNAV and VNAV function for auo pilot. There are a lot of questions and answers. First off I am using PMDG 747-400 in fs9 with aerosoft mcp747I went to the pmdg web site to download the files in the "Miscellaneous" section for the aerosoft 747mcp drivers and installed all of that stuff.Everything is working ok accept for 2 things, one: the vertical speed doesn't function, as in the numbers wont display on the mcp itself when i try to use that to climb and descend, two: the led's on the mcp won't come on when i press a function, like for example when i press "cmd" after T/O it does engage but the LED on the button doesn't come on. Please help me out with this one. My idea is that it is just the way the PMDG connector files are written, but im not sure.…

I have flown the fat girl a few times now, since her most recent face-lift, and I am very pleased (did you hear that Ryan?)!Your LNAV modeling has indeed improved- she follows the magenta line like a yellow brick road! Provided proper speed intervene techniques are utilized, even complex teardrop departures are a non issue- lovely! As far as the slight rolling in cloud turbulence, a couple of small changes in the AS 6.5 settings fixed that- no issues!Your VNAV has left me astounded! Brilliant! I reinstalled FSX and the 747X. When I load it up the displays are blank and none of the switches work though a few of the knobs will rotate. The displays are already blank when they aircraft loads. They don't work for 30 seconds or so like others with registration problems have described. I also don't have a PMDG menu on the menu bar. I also tried installing the Level-D 767 and it has an error when it try to load it. I suspect there is a problem with FSX since neither addon works. Aircraft included with FSX work okay. I have reinstalled FSX and PMDG747X with no other addons and it doesn't work. I have checked the dll.xml file and I deleted fsx.cfg to get it back to the d…
