Hi,PMDG failed to load on preview screen and FSX froze. Reinstalled AC using PMDG747_400_FSX.exe and PMDG_747_FSX_2.10_Update_Setup.exe and everything looked good. Accepted "Trusted" modules and FSX.CFG looked good. I have FSX SP2 (FSX-XPack .20070926.1421)Not sure what is wrong with this sim. FYI same happens with LVLD 767 and TrackIr4 does not function.As per PMDG Ops suggestion I checked my DLL.XML and I have the following:Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've noticed that on touchdown of the main gear, the wheels closest to the nose don't fully touch the runway until the nose wheel has touched the runway and remain angled about 10 - 30 degrees from the runway. Comparing this with videos of the real deal, the main gear always seems to fully touch the runway without remaining angled before the nose gear even starts to be noticably lowered.This can't be the way I'm landing her because it happens systematically. I should also point out that I have a ZFW of 231.3 tonnes and land with around 20.2 tonnes just incase it's a "weighty issue" :D. Any help would be appreciated.Last night I uninstalled FS9, including the PMDG 737NG and Queen Of The Skies in an attempt to rectify the poblems with the ND drift.I re-installed FS9, work fine.Tonight I installed PMDG 737NG and each time I load the 737NG aside from using ALT-TAB, or ALT-TAB-Del, the keyboard is useless.I suspect this has something to do with re-registering the product, but at no point have I been asked to input my registration details.I'm using Vista 64+, and running the software "as administrator"....any tips??CheersGraham

HiI got the PMDG 747-400X yesterday, And I really was looking forward of using the ABL plane (for those of you who not know, or simply don't care, The USAF has a massive laser, built into a 747-400F: http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/military/abl/ ) ... I think this was mentioned when the 747X first came out, but I can't find a post about it.Does anyone have the alteration I need to make so that the FSX jetways line up with the 747X left front door properly? It's a little low, and I don't know where to go to fix it.Thanks in advance,John

Hi everyone.Just a quick question,I am now purchasing a new PC to run flightsim FSX and will be upgrading the 747-400 to FSX version.I just want to check that it will all work and run ok with with Windows Vista and and having the 64 bit version.The PC spec is 8mb RAM,QUAD CORE PROCESSOR,2x512mb NVIDA 9800 graphics cards.Would hate to spend aload of money and cant take the Queen Of the Skies for a flight.Thanks.Tony

Hi, I am getting a new system soon. It will be running Vista 64 bit. I am runnig FSX on it.My question is in what order should I load 747X? I have the FSX Acceleration pack,Wilco Airbus Vol 1 and Vol 2.Thanks for any help or hints. Forgot to release the parking brake before I pushed back, got a BRAKE TEMP warning on the EICAS events- nice bit of realism! Pulled up EICAS gear, and they're at 9, which the max I think? Anyway, now 4 hours into flight and BRAKE TEMP is still on, and the brakes are still cherry red, which may explain the strange smell round here.. so, how to get them cooled down? Gear extend at FL340? :-hmmmT.

G'day gents,Some of you older hands my possibly remember me, I was active on the boards up until a year or so back.I recently upgraded my PC to a considerably more grunty spec and at the same time have returned to my former flames, the 747 and 767. On account of limited time to enjoy long-hauls, I've spent the past year or so pottering around europe with a less-than-top-shelf add-on of the A320 and while it was agreeable, I had forgotten about the joy of flying a truly hi-fidelity simulation. Now I'm enjoying fluid frames with 100% AI at my favourite airports, complete with AES, not to mention overcast cloudy skies. I have officially achieved sim-nirvana!Not that I'm here…

Hi all, I needed to set BARO MINS to 3850 ft for the Queenstown CHARLIE VOR approach and found it took a very long time. Holding the mouse button pressed on the MINS rotating knob adjusts the setting at a rate of about 100 ft every 10 seconds. To increase the setting by, say, 3600 feet would therefore take about six minutes. Is there another way of doing this - apart from using RADIO instead of BARO :-)ThanksGeoff

Hey all,I'm having quite a strange issue with my 747. I've attached a screen capture to help with my explanation. Every time I start up FSX with this aircraft, my PFD displays those red lines that move from side to side, I get an FMC error that says something along the lines of my VNAV isn't set, and the altimeter settings go to (on their own mind you) somewhere in the neighborhood of 25.11, but doesn't let me set it using the knob, or the B key (so when I start at KSFO, it says my altitude is -5000 some ft). Also, the flap indicator on the EICAS shows 30 degrees, but they are visibly not on the exterior, nor do the flight dynamics act as though they are. I am also st…

Hi All,I am still new using the PMDG. I have FSX that I run on Vista. I usually fly on VATSIM. Everything seems to be going well except that I have never been able to reach my initial cruise altitude in good time before ATC starts fussing at me. I use a fuel planner by "Felice Valente" to plan the fuel loads on my flights. What happens is every time I take off and climb to an initial altitude's of say FL320... I always seem to falter around FL260. Is this normal? I would greatly appreaciate it if somebody could point out for me where I'm going wrong.

hi, putting aside PMDG finances, although they have a bearing, i feel, reading the daily posts, that FSX is still not all that it was cracked to be. i think that fs9 was and is a great platform for PMDG B737ng and B747-400 and presumably for MD11. if my analysis is correct, why should loyal customers of PMDG be denied the upgraded 737ng scheduled for FSX be included into fs9, as the MD11 is going into both platforms, why cant the 737ng. we all have the greatest respect for the PMDG team but fairness is a great quality. richard welsh
