Hello, Is there anyway to create smoother flap extension on the PMDG 737. The extension and retraction seams stuttery rather than a smooth extension.Cheers, Gregg

I wonder if anyone can help me here. It isn't a problem I usually have with re-paints but I'm sure I must be doing something wrong. I've downloaded the Thomsonfly 737-700 repaint but am having no luck at all in getting it to appear in FS2004 I am guessing it has something to do with the cfg. file (though I've changed the number to '6' in the readme add to cfg file). I've put the main repaint folder in the PMDG 737-700 a/c folder, so if anyone can suggest what I might have done wrong I'd be really grateful!ThanksTim

I'm fan of this Beech 1900D - top suff.Only thing is driving me crazy is I cannot open the cabin door on the VCC model.I tried the Concorde assignments (as written in the docs) either via ingame interface or FSUIPC, but no good.If its driven by an effect animation, I'm sure it's missing from the package.Can someone help, plz?

Hello,my problem: Installation MS/FS9, PMDG737 800-900. it is working properly until i have installed engravity cdu software and pmdg interface installer/key file and drivers. all i purchased on sunday last week.i installed like described on pmdg support website, but it does not work. it is impossible to go to the pmdg menu at the menubar on top of FS9 via pushing "ALT" on my keyboard to enter the dialogbox "external cdu interface".every function on keyboard disappeares when i use the pmdg aircraft. i need to go back to an default aircraft to get back function on my keyboard again.every installation steps i have done like described.any suggestions?thx in advancePeter

I have been running into an unusal thing lately. I recently reinstalled project magenta glass cockpit on a new machine, it's registered an everything, when i open Pm after fs2004 is open, the PM screen comes up and then suddenly quits. It keeps doing this repeatedly. Any ideas as to why this is happening?Thanks.

Hi All.I was wondering if anyone had the skills to create a engine fan up-date for this wonderful bird.I just don't have the required skills to be able to do this, otherwise I would and up-load it for all.I think that this aircraft is fantastic, and coupled with some brilliant re-paints that are available, I can't help but feel that a new and crisp and detailed engine fan up-grade would make this bird look even better if thats at all possible.I have grabbed some of the freeware Historic Jet Group aircraft recently, and was amazed at the detail the painter has gone into for the fan / blade textures on the KC135, they are mouthwateringI just wondered if anyone would like to…

Hi,I would like to ask if there are any differences in fuel consumption for the 3 different engine variations available for the 747-400 in reality.And, if so, are these differences modelled in the PMDG 744?I have a self-developed flight planning tool and so far I reach my destinations within 1000kgs/2000lbs of calculated burn. All calculation figures are based on hundreds of flights - all with GE engines - and just by incident I used for one of my last flights the PW version - and my calculated fuel figures where way off - on a 6000nm flight I used roughly 6800 kgs MORE fuel.... that is, the FF by min or hr was about 3,5% higher than with the GE version.Karl-Heinz - EDDI/…

I was just wondering if anyone ran into this problem and knows how to fix it. With the 744 in the preflight checklist, I get to the IRS selectors, I switch them off, then nav, then align. When i do this my attitude indicator( the blue and red part diplaying sky and ground) go missing, but everything else is there. Anyone ran into this before?

Hi everyone,I am still new at operating B747-400. On two occasions I have tried to fly the B747-400 with the RR Engines and have failed to get the engines started when going through the procedured to start the engines. I follow the normal procedures of fuel control switch (run) and then engine start selector (pull) and nothing happens. Following the same procedures with the CG engines all works well.Is there a specific way to start the RR engines (British Airways variant)?Execuse me if I am raising something already touched on earlier in the forum.Cheers,Popo

Hi !I would like to know if anybody has expirience with vista 64 and FSX, 747 PMDG. I've ordered a new computer with vista 64 and 8 GB of Ram. On Youtube I saw a video of a guy who used Vista 64 and a good pc config. He tested the PMDG 747 and other planes and i mentioned massive flickering of the textures. Why is that? He was using DX 10 Preview, i've already heard about issues with it. Does this issue disappear when i disable DX10 PReview? OR is it generally with vista 64 and DX10? Anybody experienced it?What about the Performance in Vista 64 with 8GB of Ram and the 747? I don't know if i should change my config to 4Gb of ram and XP to get a better performance and to pr…

Every time I fly the PMDG 737-700 with FS9, it seems my flights are shorter than the real-world flight. For example, when flying from KBNA Nashville to KPHL Philadelphia, it always takes 90 minutes from takeoff to touchdown, using the FMC with VNAV and LNAV most of the way. This is after slowing the cruise down to M.75 when she wants to use .80. When I check on Flightaware for the same flight, all flights are listed from 1:45 TO over 2 hours. Likewise on airline ticket sites. I realize some of these times may be gate to gate, but even so, figuring about 20 minutes extra for gate to gate, I still beat the fastest flight times by at least 15 minutes. Are they going tha…

Hi,This is my final question I have today about your wonderful Boeing 747 PMDG product.I am hoping to join a Vatsim and speak to ATC one day using my PMDG 747 but would like to do it similarly to how real pilots do it. Firstly I did not know exactly where the broadcast button is. Could you tell me where it is if it is modelled? I think someone told me it is usually somewhere on the yoke or a button on the pedestal somewhere.Also if anyone here has the time could you explain how a real pilot would contact the tower using the radio and what buttons where need to be pushed etc.? I am learning about flying the PMDG 747 and I just have a general question about flying it. I usually set the autobrakes to 3 for braking but if I wanted to do it completely manually I have to push the trigger of my joystick to engage the brakes once I have landed on the runway but I was just interested to know how brakes are applied in real aircraft. In real aircraft do you just push both of the rudder pedals forward or something or is it somwhere else? Also is the braking animated by the PMDG 747?Any comments related to braking would be appreciated like how braking differs in different aircraft from jets to GA. Hi there,I am currently running Windows Vista 32 with Flight Sim X, I installed the patch and it appears to have had a detrimental effect on my 747?!Firstly the cockpit and panels are grainy in appearence, the speed tape on the PFD doesn't work and it just handles very strangely, when one attempts to engage the autopilot it creates quite a spectacular display!! The 747 just seems to spin vertically very violently and then crashes?!Has anyone had any other issues?Regards,James

Hi.Everything was working fine but recently this error occurs. After I power the cockpit the PFD shows me this strange behavior. Note, that the barometer is set to 2215 In and cant be changed, but the one on the backup display works fine. It is also not possible to change the Map mode (to APP ILS PLAN ...) you can try to click the knob but nothing happens.Although this is the 400F one's it is the same problem with the 400 display. Hi allIm having probs that when I have autopilot on everything is ok but as soon as i move my yoke it disconnects. I have followed what pmdg have said and also tried other joysticks with the same problem. is there anything i can do to stop this from happening. Im using FSX sp1 win XP. I have a question i use FS9 with all patches. The question i have is i wanted better sounds with my PMDG 737. I did find it on the avsim website site and i started listening to some of the files that sounded great. especially the engine sounds. They were one minute and four seconds long from spool to full engine idle. the sounds were on the money makes me feel like its real in my surround sound room. anyway while i was making a flight i was just about to start the engines i start engine one and i start to hear the spool 6 seconds later it was at full idle speed. What the heck!!! i was cheated engines don't start like that. why did it not play the whole file that stinks. t…
