Hello everyone,I have been having an issue regarding the livery installer for both the 600/700 and 800/900 models.I've done quite a bit of searching around these forums and have had no luck finding a fix.Some time ago I was engaged in dialogue with members of support and their best recommendation was to post the issue here, so here goes:When I open the installer the FS9 path is correct, as far as I know there are no issues with the registry, the FS9 path utility came up with no problems and it did not fix the issue.I get "The File C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/PMDG737-800/texture/pmdg_airstairs.bmp could not be opened."The thing that makes m…

Hello All -I think I screwed up something with my PMDG 747 for FS9. First my kinda apologizes if this has been asked, so here goes..1.) I downloaded the Airac 0808 and installed the PMDG data files.2.) Like a moron I didn't backup the existing Airac data3.) Now my runways in the FMC don't match. i.e. I was flying from KORD (departure runway 9R was showing up incorrectly on the PFD, almost lining up next to the aircraft) to TNCM (Cleared to land Runway 9, but FMC shows available runways 10/29.Any suggestions? Hi,I am really enjoying the PMDG Boeing 747 but the Microsoft default runways are really boring to look at. I purchased a photorealistic runway addon for one airport but it was not as good as I had hoped. It was a bit blurry when you landed. I was hoping to find a program that can change all the default runways into really good looking photoreal runways but so far I have not found any that I like the look of yet. If anyone can suggest a few of the better offerings out there I would appreciate it. It would be nice to have a runway that would change according to the weather and time too. For example it would have a photoreal dry runway, a rainy runway and a nighttime r…

Hello,I recently purchased and downloaded the 737's (600-900) for FS9. Along with FS2Crew. I am having a problem. My auto throttle will notstay on. It disengages as soon as a flip the switch. Any help thati can get on this issue will be appreciated.Kevin Manley

HiI have spent quite a while looking at the forums and I am growing tired, so I decided to post and hope no one gets mad at me :-)Today I bought the B1900C & D for FS9.I installed the service update for both.I load up the B1900D, with VC.All the guages are black. Am I not doing something right, or is there a problem? How can I fix it?I haven't spent the time loading up the other configurations to see if it is on all, but i assume it is.Thank you for your help (and most probably patience!)Andrew James

I realize there have been many posts on this subject, but I don't remember seeing these (apologies if I've missed them).This is the 747-400X in FSX (naturally) and Vista 32, using Radar Contact, and default airport and scenery.My flight was LFPG-KBOS. All was fine until RC issued a crossing restriction of '12,000 and 250 kts' 40 nm before BOS. BOS wasn't on my flightplan, and my approach (SCUPP3, which is vectors) didn't add it. However, it was easy enough to add BOS, The issue was adding the restriction as per the manual "exactly as issued from ATC." When I went to enter BOS/-40 I got the NOT IN DATABASE message. When programming a flight my fmc sometimes says not in data base when entering route information ,does this mean i have to update my fmc? and if so can anyone tell me how? i wuold be very grateful .Joe T

I just installed Fs9 & FsX on Vista 64 mainly because I wanted to fly the 744 without an OOM error. All went well with FsX and I flew from KSFO - KMIA without an error!!! But with Fs9 I get to the AC select screen it loads the AIRAC & Navdata then just hangs with an hourglass. I can cancel out and select another AC no problem including the PMDG 737NG series. Any ideas?

Can anyone help me with the load manager. Once ive selected what pax and fuel and press save. once in the game i notice the fuel quantities are at 47kg which is not what i ask for. Can anyone enlighten me to why it does not seem to be transfering thanks. Brett

Hi there.I've just bought this marvellous PMDG 747-400 FSX, installed it and ... Well, I can see the plane on the FSX-screen where you select the particular aircraft. It looks perfect, all the textures and everything is there.However, upon finalizing the selection, FSX informs me as follows:PMDG_747400_MAIN.DLLCANNOT FIND PMDG OPTIONS.DLLCould you please help me and tell me what I have to change? I just can't take the quality of the coffee from the FS2Crew flight attendant anymore. After much thought on who I should contact regarding this technical issue, either PMDG or FS2Crew, it is clear this is an equipment problem and not a crew issue. First Posted this on FSX forum-Please excuse the duplication:After just over a week of running the FSX PMDG 747-400 with Vista/SP1, I have only found two ways of using the FMC flight route in conjunction with the FSX ATC system.1. Load a High Altitude Route type FSX flight plan into the sim, and enter the same waypoints into the PMDG FMC Route pages. Then I use FSX ATC in IFR mode to follow the plan. During my last flight in the 737-700 this message appeared in the EICAS panel under Engine 1 "Start valve open". It popped up whe I pressed the Q key which is assigned to the ND Mode switch, movement to the left. The E key moves the switch to the right. Now the E key worked fine but not the Q key. Hello,On a flight this evening from Orlando, FL to Mexico City (MMMX), I had one of the strangest experiences of my virtual flying career. To begin, my comms panel (aka radio stack) was completely frozen. I am still unable to change any COM, NAV, or ADF frequencies from the comms panel in flight. I have elected to avoid bad weather because of this and I am required to shoot a visual approach due to this strange bug. Help - I am confused with AIRAC and Navgraph SID STARS.I have 737NG with AIRAC cycle 04/11. I have updated many of the the SID STARS from the NavData site for many of the UK and European Airports I fly to by downloading individual airport folders - but not the entire database.Recently I could not access SIDSTARS from KATL. I understand this is because my AIRAC cycle is out of sync.Do I just download the entire AIRAC cycle 08/08 into the SIDSTARS folder and overwrite the existing files? Will this update the AIRAC cyle on the ident page of the FMC?Will this sync with many of the major USA airports?Many thanksRoy Higgins

I am having a problem with the 744 and 744F LNAV when I put the simulation in half-speed mode. Yes, I did a search for this and didn't find any postings that addressed this particular problem (the search was on "simulation rate"). Here is my scenario. For a medium size flight (in the 7-9 hour range) I start and fly it in normal speed for a few hours until it's time to go to bed. At that time I disconnect from Vatsim and put FS in the half-speed mode prior to going to bed. Hi all,I am using PMDG747X v2.1 installed from CD and I cannot rotate the APU start switch for any engine variant. When hovering over it with the mouse I get the double ended arrow, this happens with the standby power switch as well. I have advanced animations checked.Any help will be greatly appreciated.Mike

Hi,I had one of the tough time while approaching a Airfield with Active Sky weather, went into a Storm, if Weather radar would be there, I could have gone around it.Its high time that we have a weather radar in our acft's, I know that its been discussed earlier and some guys tried Realtyxp Radar, but I failed to do that and FS crashes.I really admire the PMDG products and its a great stuff, the only missing thing is Weather Radar, which I think if Realtyxp can do it, why not PMDG.RegardsAbhay

After some years of flying the PMDG 737 NG series without any difficulties I am now experiencing a problem. Typically, after perhaps 20 mins of flying there is a click sound and the screen freezes. No blue screen, just the usual cockpit view remains on the screen and I cannot get out of it with control-alt -delete but have to reset my computer.I did install a new monitor three months ago and it is just possible that this is the problem. Currently FS$ is set at a screen resolution of 1650x1080x16 but I have run it at 800x600 and the problem is still eperienced. My graphics card is Radeon X800 GTO with 256 mb.I am not sure where to start to resolve the problem and I would …
