I've recently downloaded this programme. And it's very good, I must say!I've just got one question with it. Once I've put in all my data, and received back some computed assumed temps for derated thrust take-offs, which one do I choose from the list?There's a list of 10-20 assumed temps, so I'm wanting to know how to arrive at a good assumed temperature to use?Thanks,Kelvin

Hi all,I'm sure this has been covered, but I have searched and can't find much relevant.I have been flying the PMDG 747 since it came out. It's fantastic! I've recently decided to go deeper and try cold starts. I have followed tutorials etc. and can start the APU, all engines, but cannot get rid of the "Yaw Damper" inop message, and "no autopilot"I'm aligning the IRS' and hydraulics and gens are all on. Hi, a few questions about the nice 747-400 and MD11 1.where do i have control over the Aileronrudder-Trim Position 2.i don't hear Engine Start Sound of Engine 2+3 from "PAX Left: Ahead of Wing"and "PAX Right: Ahead of Wing" View 3. i would pay extra-mooney for a 747-400 2D-Widescreen-Panel from PMDG4.would be very very nice to see only one Picture of the MD11 2D-Widescreen-Panel layoutregardsJ

I have FS9 747 installed with current update. The TA TA/RA above and below switch does not work unless you check "SHOW ALL TRAFFIC". Am I doing something wrong? Jorge

Hi,I have just migrated from an XP based system to a Vista one and although the 737NG 600/700 base programme (and PMDG livery) has installed with no problems, any attempt at installing add-on liveries whether from the original CD or the PMDG website always results in an error report that the exe file has stopped working and that the relevant aircraft.cfg file could not be opened. it seems when i turn on to final, i click on the ..loc.. and app.. and nothing happens...i often get a msg on the fmc that says..approach vref not selected...i dont know what this means..any help be apprec..rgds ken hanson

Is it possible to move the PMDG FS9 version over to FSX. Hoping to re-install it into FSX until a full FSX version comes out, but before I try I would like to know if it can be moved from FS9 to FSX?smooth landings.

Just on a side note, yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the airshow disaster at the USAF base in Ramstein, Germany.3 Italian pilots and 70 civilians lost their lives when 3 gnats of the Italian Air Display team Frecce Tricolori collided whilst performing the "pierced-heart" manoeuver. One of the gnats crashed into the huge audience of spectators, spewing an 800 litre fireball and hot metal debris everywhere, injuring 450.The day after the disaster, the German Ministry of Defence banned all risky airshow manoeuvres and stopped aircraft performing directly over the audience. Seems like a very good idea to me.

Hey guys, first post on the AVSIM forums! I have a problem with my B1900C from PMDG; When i try to install liveries into my FS9 folder, it runs the exe, but at the end it says it could not open the B1900C aircraft file, and when i look in the B1900C aircraft folders, theres nothing there. I believe this may have to do with the fact that when i run the installers for liveries, that it says my registry reports my desktop as to being my FS9 registry, which it obviously isnt, so i change it to match with my FS9 main folder, but it still gives me the message it couldnt open the aircraft CFG.Help is greatly appreciated,Sam

Just to let anyone who is interested know Lefteris and his team at Flight Sim Labs have released their FlyEngravity CDU Drivers for PMDG. I am personally waiting on the Go Flight MCP drivers but I thought that some of you might really like to know this information, I know I would. Hi all, I need some help here. I used to fly PMDG without any problem but the problem came out just a few days ago. I'm using XP 32 bits and G-Skill DDRII 1000 2GB*2 with 4GB virtual memory. Each time I start to fly PMDG, the FSX will show out "Your computer is running out of memory..." after about 10 to 30 minutes. I have tested by the default aircrafts, this problem won't come out when I'm flying a default aircraft. At the begining, I thought the complicated scenery cause it but it's not actually after my computer ran "out of memory" again when I was cruising at high altitude with over 20 FPS...I also check the Windows Task Manager, it shows less than 2.00 GB memory in …

Hi allI have a question aimed solely at the PMDG team. I was just looking through youtube watching real aircraft come & go in videos, including some flights at night & watching them made me remember something.When I've been at an airport at night (in the real world) watching aircraft come & go around the gates, I noticed that when the beacon lights are on, you not only see the red light flashing off various parts of the fuselage (which is already modelled very well by PMDG), but you also see it flashing on the ground.When onboard a real aircraft at night, I've noticed that when the strobes are turned on, you see the flash of the strobes on the concrete on the …

I have now officially been bitten by the 747 bug ;-)Being a sucker for new hardware, I'm looking in to getting an MCP and an FMC to build a small, desktop cockpit (just the essential items ;-). From what I've seen the CPFlight MCP and the Engravity FMC seem to look like the best bits of hardware available at the moment. I was just wondering if anyone used either of these in FSX/Vista etc and would be kind enough to comment on what they are like? Are they worth the money? Are any other software/drivers required to get them to work with the PMDG 747-400X?Cheers,
