    I'm practicing take-offs using the 747-400X PW, taking off from Runway 24 at Schiphol (EHAM).     I am curious to know why the engine spool timings were adjusted in SP 2.1 so that they are now less realistic? At thrust reduction it takes nearly 5 seconds for the engines to spool down and the time delay now triggers 4 x EICAS warnings for N1 limits.What was the reason for this?Regards,Martin Neep

    Hi guys,I've got a flap sound for the 737 which I'd like to use with the PMDG 737 panel, along with the flap handle.The retraction/extension sound can usually be heard from the cabin.However this seems to more tricky than expected.I edited the sound.cfg accordingly, but the sound is repeated like 10 times although the flap setting is already reached.I also operate a flap sound on the Level-D 767, all I can say is it works perfectly, meaning that the sound immediately stops as soon as the flaps are retracted/extended.I'd like to achieve this with the PMDG 737.Any help is appreciated.Regards,

    Here's the situation.I was cruising at flight level 350, VNAV and LNAV enganged holding altitude to the foot, holding the plan on ND to the nm, just enjoying the scenery(thanks to ground environment an Flight environment). All of a sudden I get an overspeed, take a glance at the airspeed indicator and notice 350knots AND CLIMBING. I click the speed button on the MCP to see if it would do anything but doesnt do to the fact that im in vnav mode. after a while i realize that vnav was not holding my speed, but i myself was controlling the speed for some reason, even being in vnav.Anyone run into this or know what's ghoing on.     I cant seem to get VHHX to display in the FMC database. I am using 0807 and I have downloaded the SIDS and STARS and for the airport I went to - Flight Simulator 9FMCWPNavData wpNavAPT.txt and added after VHHH.     hi all, I have been happy landing with the ILS using the 737ng 600-900 without any problems. However, i loaded a flight from KORD-KEWR using airac charts 0807. For change i tried a landing at KEWR rw4r cat11 and all the parameters were in place, speed 140kts, LOC ILS and G/S all captured, but when i selected the second A/P the yellow box on the PFD remained at single channel and the second A/P failed to light. where have i gone wrong. any help will be appreciated.richard welsh

    Hello All, I just installed everything into my vista machine and am getting annoying tip pop up windows even though I have tool tips turned off in FS2004, I can't find a location within PMDG that would turn these off or on, could someone point me in the right direction.TanksAndy

    Hi I installed update 1.2 for the fs9 747-400 and have lost vhhx airport in the fmc,'not in database'.I use airac 0608.In blind panic I performed a system restore in xp but on starting the sim the 747 hung during loading of the airac and I got the 'fs9 has encountered a problem' etc message .So I then undid the system restoration previously performed and the aircraft loaded as normal but obviously still showing 'not in database' for vhhx.Does the update change something in the airac which could have caused this? ,or is there a simple solution I could try to get vhhx back into the fmc.any help gratefully receivedregards Jim

    Hello all.Today I added the above mentioned update and have a problem with TCAS.If I turn off 'show all traffic' I lose all TCAS markers, even if I switch between ABOVE/N/BELOW there's nothingI am now having to run in 'show all traffic' in order to get any TCAS markers.I am using the FSUIPC option with a max range of 100.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers.Mark.

    HelloI have valid licenses for:737 NG (737600, 737700, 737800, 737900); and 747 Queen of the Skies for FS9.The 737 has a been a fixture on my system since 2003 and the 747 since 2007.Having just been forced to install a new GDD I have reloaded the 737base files and been advised I have to register within 10 days.I checked all my documentation and after following the instructions to go to http://www.precisionmanuals.com/license/register.htm I get a bad link error message.I have what the instructions tell me is the required info i.e. the computer generated code, the OrderID and password on the purchase docs but am unable to work out what to do next.Help would be greatly appr…

    Hi all, just a thought, i was reading up on CAT11 and CAT111 approaches and the book read, do not autoland on a runway that is not cat11 cat111 capable, thats understandable, i fly the b737ng and on entering the fmc dep/arr page the arrival runways dont stipulate if the runway is cat11 or cat111. all you get is ils rw16L for example and at KSEA runway 16L has ils, cat11 and cat111 but the arr. page does not indicate all three types. is there a way to overcome this. richard welsh.
