Hello,maybe somebody can help me with my problem.I bought the Add-On Pmdg 747-400X.Everything is fine but the speed indicator isn't working.The altimeter is working fine in the Primary flight display.I worked trough the normal procedures several times without success.The speed indicator (in the primary flight display) is still not reacting. It shows all the time the value "39" from the beginnig.What am I doing wrong here? Can somebody help me here?My System is Pentium 4, 3,2 Ghz, 3GB-RAM, ATI-Radeon HD 3850Software: MS-FSX, SP1 and Accelartion expansion-PackI would be happy for anny help...thanksmartin

I have a question requarding the autoland of the 744. I have the latest version installed and Ive noticed a problem when performing a autoland, the plane wants to turn violently to the right once under 80KTS. This only happens during the autoland.I did a flight today KSFO-RJAA using FSACARS so I could see what kind of touchdown rate the autoland was giving me: -56FPM.... Wow.Is this normal for a autopilot??? The autopilot didint float down the runway and landed me right where it was supposed to, but I never seen an autopilot give that low of a touchdown rate ( on any aircraft ). Could this be the issue?

Hi everyone,In flight planning for B747-400 I am having difficulties in determining where the step climbs are supposed to be and how to set them in the FMC. For example I am planning to fly 35,000 ft how do I then sequence the step climbs? I assume there must be a procedure that determins this. Is there an article or link that can help me know and learn the ABC's about this? It may sound dumb, but that is what I am facing.Thanks for your assistance in advance.Cheers,Popo.

Hi,I have a problem with frame rates in the VC with the 747-400 in FS9.The thing is, frame rates on the airport (tested at payware LDZA) are about 20-23 fps (locked at 30), and max 30 fps during cruise, which are, I guess, normal frame rates for the 747. But the problem is that every time I turn my view in the VC, to the right for example, the frame rate drops to 16-20 fps, and if I don't move the view, it goes back to normal frame rate. It happens both at airport and during cruise.I applied all kinds of tweaks, both for gpu and in fs9.cfg, but none of them did anything with this problem...My specs are:Intel Celeron D 915 2,8 GhzAti Radeon HD 2600 Pro 512 MB (AGP)2 GB RAM…

Can anyone help ? pleeeeeeze , i have loaded pdmg 747 400x all seems ok until i extend the flaps , all i see is the frame the flaps sit on , the flaps themselves are nowhere to be seen . anyone????????:-hmmm

Hey everyone. I am having problems with the new Kai Tak scenery from FlyTampa. I have downloaded a couple new navaids for VHHX for use with the IGS 13 localizer. Well, the freq. is supposed to be 111.90 with a course of 88. Problem is, I am unable to tune that into the NAV/RAD page of the FMC. I gives me an invalid entry error. Good evening everybody,I have been using the downloadversion of the 737 family for quite some time and had no problems in the past.Last week, after losing some critical files from my harddrive, I decided that I would be better off buying the boxed version of both the 737-600 as the 737-800.I installed them on a pristine copy of FS-9 (with update) and now I have this problem.When I activate the FMC, it works fine but... when I click on the 4-button, the display says 7, when I click on the 7-button, the display says 7 and when clicking on the ,-button, I also get a 7 on the scratchpath...any suggestions on what is going on?I am using windows WP proAll help appreciated.Luc B…

Hi Gents,I am wondering if some one knows whether it could be possible to organize a world tour for the PMDG 747-400? and if there is any interest for it?Any ideas are welcome, minimum requirement in terms of add-ons (weather, planning tools, dispatch programs, flight tracking tools), schedules, flight plans, routes you would like to include, would you prefer to fly with VATSIM or IVAO etc...Ideally to organize this world tour we would require assistance of one or two devoted simmers in each of the continent for the preparation, coordination and to ensure 24 hours coverage.If there is interest please throw ideas here or send me a PM.Best regards

For some reason that I cannot find I am now getting warnings on landing on the 744X. It does not matter if it is a full autoland or a manual fly myself.The landing goes fine up until the aircraft slows to nearly 80 knots and at that point a red warning will pop up and say Speedbrakes Extended. At about 80 knots I get another warning and the bell saying Configure Flaps. As soon as I cut the reverse thrust the Config Flaps message goes away.As soon as I cut the reverse thrust the autobrakes also release and thus I have to use manual braking which soon appears to cause an overheat in the brakes.This is only recent that this is started happening but I have not made any change…

when i press toga after manually increasing the throttles to 70% the n1 and epr jumps up and down and will not reach the correct thrust setting. Only when i press toga from engine idle does it perform correctly and smoothly no fluktuationshas anyone else seen thisi have the latest patch kav

Hi,I mentioned in my last post that I installed the service pack 1.2 for the PMDG 747-400 and I was told that it included all of the previous updates, including the 747-400F. Going by this, I thought the service pack included the 747-400F model but it does not. When I realized it did not include the 747-400F model, I tried to uninstall the service pack but I did not see that in the Add/Remove Programs in control panel. Should the service pack update be listed in the Control Panel? I thought it said that in the readme text. Since I could not find it, I uninstalled the 747-400 based version and then reinstalled it. Hello All,Im having a recurring issue the past few days and I was wondering if anyone could help. I am attempting to depart VTBS enroute to YSSY and for some reason my PMDG 744 struggles to make FL310. After going through moderate turbulence, I noted that the aircraft struggles to maintain altitude and speed, and unless I select CON from the thrust limit page, I cant help but almost stall. By the way, this is with and without using VATSIM weather selected, and with a flight plan entered into AS.Now for the usual stuff:FSUIPC-registeredA/C-not overweight and correctly trimmedFS9.1Win XP Pro with SP3Plenty of RAM, HDD space, etc.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, I replaced the PC's chassis fan yesterday and I don't know what I did wrong... now I cannot boot my PC (it just keep restarting without even seeing the windows logo)... I then booted up my PC with windows XP setup disk and run recovery console and realized that my harddrives are crashed (2 seagate 320 gb 7.10). Could someday give me a suggestion on which data recovery software is good? I am willing to spend up to 200 USD... There are about 10gb of photo which I don't want to loss... Thanks,Ben

My Freind Craig Read, helped me to calibrate the Saitek Pro Throttle with the extra throttles via FSUIPC.Lately, I have been experiencing No.1 engine (While on manual control) spooling down on it's own?It seems to be the same in single engine aircraft as well, using No.1 throttle.Can anyone help please?N>B. this only happens in FS9, FSX is fine.

Good afternoonI have been having trouble with the PMDG 744 for some years now with regards to flightplans.When I enter a flightplan with waypoints, the 744 only flies to the first waypoint and then when it reaches the second waypoint, it goes left then right and starts going in circles and doesn't continue on the track to all the waypoints?I have read many manuals and even gone through the PMDG tutorial but still cant get it right, it is really doing my head in now as I dont know what I am doing wrong?When I do it in the PMDG 737/600/700/800/900 it works fine.I look forward to hearing from anyone who can help me.Kind RegardsGavin Moss

Hi Guys,I have had the excellent 744X for a few months now and I'm slowly learning various aspects to it's manual and automatic flight when time allows it (can't fly in FSX as much as would like). I do however have a question. I understand how to enter the performance data i.e. fuel and load weights etc into the FMC and for it to generate V1, VR and V2 speeds, I click on the LSK keys to upload them to the PFD. From what I understand on takeoff I would have runway heading selected on the MCP together with V2+10 on the speed bug. Hi,I need to re-install the 747 for FS9, but I'm out of sync with the updates.I'm presently downloading the latest update (V1.2) released May 22nd, 2008.Is that all that is required or do I need to apply things like the sound fix etc..?Am I best installing both the 747 and the 747F before applying the latest update?Best regards,Robin.

I just noticed that my throttles are behaving strangely with my 747x. I'm not sure if this just started happening after the patch or if it's always been there.I have A Saitek Pro Flight set up with two throttle quadrants. Each throttle has its own throttle lever. I am using registered FSUIPC. If I advance throttle#1 100%, throttle#3 will automatically advance 50% without my input. Throttle#2 does the same thing to throttle#4. Throttles #3 and #4 work normally and don't seem to affect the others.My throttles don't have this problem with the default FSX 747.I have tried configuring the throttles just through FSX, then just through FSUIPC, either way has the same effect.I ha…

My question is what is the normal decent rate for the pmdg 737-700. my decent speed is .76 once the 2 speeds match i then drop it to 280 knots but i need to know what is the normal decent rate?
