Hello all,I recently reinstalled the 747-400 on my new computer, and have run into an issue. For some reason, when I go to program the FMC for a flight departing or arriving into KORD I get an error message. It pops up immediately after entering "KORD" into either the TO or FROM options on the RTE 1 page. The message reads "KORD err: 09L rwy unknown". After this appears, I cannot select an Arrival or Departure for the airport, and no other runways appear on the DEPT/ARR page. I have not experienced this at any other airports. I do have the DreamTeam KORD installed as well, and I assume this is causing the issue, but I'm not positive.Any help in resolving this is greatly a…

Just wondered if anyone can tell me whether the latest version (v2.3?) of FSBuild is compatiable with the PMDG 747-400X (FSX version). I think i read somewhere that it is compatiable with the FS9 version, but I just wanted to check before buying.Thanks,Ed

Hello allFirst time poster here . . . I have been using PMDG 747 for FS9 for sometime now but recently purchased Aerosoft LHR Mega airport again for FS9 and as a result have lost all runways/star/sids for EGLL in the FMC.I have several other add on programmes which this has not effected such as PSS 777 & Level-D 767. PMDG works fine if i uninstall the airport add on but was wondering if anyone has experience this problem and is there any solution that would allow me to use both programmes? Or am i doing something wrong . . . .I have had a scan of this forum but haven't seen any similar problems and my only thoughts are that i might need to download new sids/star but …

I did a search however could not find an answer to a thought I have. Before I get jumped on let me say first that I know the PMDG 747 Aircraft/panel are the best IMO, in both performance and visuals. I have installed every version/update since they were made available and have only flown it once in all these years. The realism and accuracy are outstanding however, I am getting old and if I just had to, learn all the operations for flying this A/C but since actually flying one will never happen, I don't want to risk frying the few active brain cells I have remaining.The thought: would PMDG ever consider producing the 747 model/panel that would be simular in operation of th…

Hello,My 737 PMDG doesn't perform correctly the IRMAR3A SID on 04R at LFMN.With VNAV & LNAV engaged, when passing overhead fix MN044, the plane continue straight ahead instead of turning right to NC NDB (338.0). Hi,My question is based on the FS9 version of the 747 and maybe this issue is solved in FSX. I've always found it a bit weird that I have to add quite a remarkable amount of thrust to begin taxi and to keep up taxi speed. When idle is used, the plane slows down quite quickly even without the brakes. I happened to visit a 744F and I especially asked the pilot how much throttle you have to use for taxiing. He said that you maybe only add a little bit to begin moving and then you just go on idle. You may even have to use brakes to slow down even while idle, ofcourse depending on aircraft weight. They sometimes shut down one or two engines after landing and even then you may …

Hi!I have FSX, SP1, FSUIPC, XPPro and - I looked for - the new 747X installed. I've installed too the newest airac from navdata.Well, I can see the PMDG-aircraft in the fsx-menu, but when I choose one of them, it starts loading, then the window for the navdata-loading appears and then - well, then it's over. Hi,I have read somewhere that Triplehead2go is used by some PMDG members. Is it possible to share their FSX setting maybe ?I really want to improve my framerates and was wondering if maybe I have overlooked some things...The tweaks I saw were for resolutions of 1280 x 1024...Unfortunately I am running at 3072x 768...I also have read the FSP tweak guide but many tweaks have become obsolete for FSX.Was just curious...Hope someone can help.thanks in advance,Dieter

Gents,In the event of an engine failure in the 747, either before or after takeoff, is there a need to increase the thrust on the remaining 3 engines to MCT? Or does this occur automatically, or even not at all?During my emergency last week I was so caught up in the experience I honestly have no idea whether the thrust on the remaining engines increased or not! Hello!Everey time i try to fly PMDG 747 i get a problem.. Aftar start and when i programmed FMC and turn in Vnav and Lnav i get a Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound and then the autopilot is disconnected..And then the sound stops.. When i start the autopilot again the same happens again!! And again ,and again. And when i am at ILS approach it happends again and it often result that i crash!Please help me!Best Regards Alexander S

Hi there PMDG guys!I recently got a touch-screen as a secondary display.I must say, it's really cool to be able to have it for the FMC and be able to 'touch' the buttons, and see the response on-screen.Almost as good as having a hardware based fmc, but possibly better, because it can show any type of item such as this.However, the same can not be said of most of the other panels.when you realise that this touch-panel I have does not really support the secondary mouse click (only the primary), you suddenly realise the problem:none of the functions that require a secondary mouse button click are able to be performed.perhaps there is a switch that can be used (if there is, l…

Speed indication (neither true nor indicated) stopped working in the EADI (remains at 30) as well in the airspeed indicator (remains at 0). Unfortunately I don't know when this happened, because I did not fly the 747 for quite a while. Renewal of fsx.cfg, deactivation of all add-ons in the scenery library, complete uninstall and reinstall of PMDG747X ... nothing could solve the problem. Good day all. Is there a printed version of the PMDG 744 available? I've been flying the B763 for about 2 years now and would like to step up to the B744, especially the B744F. Is there a printed version of the manual I can buy? The only other option I see is having the UPS Store printing it for me and paying for 400+ pages of manuals.- Jake

First post here, so hi to everyone!I've just downloaded PMDG 747-400X for FSX (and very excited I am about it too!) but I'm having some problems with the install... Everything seems to go fine - registration, install - but when the installer attempts to install the MSDN VC2008 redistributable, I get an error (ERROR:1935...) and it rolls back and the installation stops. The weird thig is, if I go into FSX I can select the 747 and go to fly, but non of the systems are avaiable. I've been having a dialogue with Pete Dowson about a phenomenon I observed while flying the 747 through FSUIPC-modelled turbulence. Specifically, in the presence of even mild turbulence, the autopilot loses complete lateral control while LNAV is commanded. The deviations can be pretty severe and in some instances have resulted in the aircraft rolling over on its head.The problem is immediately quelled by suppressing turbulence (in fact control is regained almost immediately). The behavior does appear to be unique to the 747. Pete and a few others have been able …
