Prior to take off I have FMC set up, arm AutoBrake, AutoThrottle, advance throttles to 70% N1 and press TOGA button to engage TOGA. All is good.Sometime before V1 I elect to abort T/off. What is the correct procedure to follow? If I move my throttles back to idle there is no effect and hitting the brakes also does not stop the engines running at the assigned take off power? I use the CH products yoke and rudder set with included throttle axis on the yoke. Does one need to disarm the autothrottle and then pull back on the levers? What triggers the autobrakes to activate? Also, I think the spoilers should deploy during such an event?Any advice or help with the correct proce…

Hi all...I am doing more on line flying with BA Virtual (BAW0501) and I fly the 737NG most of the time. However, a lack of TCAS can be a problem.Am I right in thinking that the 737-800/900 DOES have a workable TCAS which, when installed, will also provide the 737NG with TCAS??If that is the case, can someone please confirm :1.that this is the only way to get TCAS on to the 737NG (seems an expensive work-around!)2.If I do buy the 800/900, will I be able to install the 800/900 with the 737NG and 747-400 already installed on my system without creating problems?Many thanks in advance for any advice.....Ian Oak-Rhind

I think I have figured out and corrected a major contributor to this phenom. The culprit seems to be duplicate AFD files. Something clicked when people kept saying it must be something to do with third party scenery or a bad AFD file. That's when I realised that in some third party scenery, payware included, the AFCAD or AF2 file for the new airport is in "Scenery" folder of the new scenery itself. If you do as I do and look for and install further, updated AFCAd files then the possibility exists that you have two AFD files working fo the same airport that may have slight differences in frequency and alignment info. Hello,I need help for the update 2.10. I have reinstalled the software and checked with your tool PMDG_OSAppDetect. So here I am approaching my destination EDDL Dusseldorf and on the downwind leg prior to being vectored on to final, so less than 50 miles to t/down with just under 10000 lbs of fuel remaining. The FMC then says "insufficient fuel". Surely it's joking? Is this normal?(a great sim model by the way).Iain Smith

Greetings!Having just completed a full system restore of my vista pc, I am in the process of rebuilding my FSX simulator.I'm pleased to inform that the installation of FSX, FSX SP1, and Acceleration went without a hitch. Quite unlike my first install (prior to Vista SP1), when I had so many issues, including FSX not showing up in Add/Remove Programs as "FSX", and also having to "tweak" the registry before installing Acceleration. Yes... I spent many, many hours on the phone with MS tech support, both with people who knew what they were talking about and those who didn't! hi all,migrated to a new machine the other day and have re-installed all my flight sim requirements apart from PMDG 737-800/900 boxed version (v 1.1)I load the disc up, hit set-up and the thing just sits there skipping C:WINDOWSfontslucon.ttf. when i check task manager the program is not responding. any ideas anyone? have read to boot and install in safe mode but this is a little far fetched. i have full admin rights on the machine.thanks,Chris

Hi, folks!There is a problem with the United Airlines livery textures. The back part of the fuselage, under the tail is not painted. Kreg,In the FS9/Sound/PMDG/737tng folder, take the three wav files with trim in their names and blank them with silence using an audio editing program like Audacity. Make sure they remain the same length, bitrate and sample rate. That will kill the sound. That sound is realistic and there for a reason though - hearing it going when it's not supposed to will alert the pilots quickly to a runaway trim scenario and that split second of recognition as to what's happening could mean the difference between dealing with it successfully and a disaster.

If I'm already airborne, and discover that the IRS nav system was not aligned prior to take off (or, perhaps there was a power failure that's now been recovered from) and now want to align my IRS nav system, how do I do that?I saw something in the manual about waiting until the current position 'stabilizes', but, if I'm flying along while trying to do this, it's a bit of a problem.so.... how is it done, please?

Hello all,I just purchased the PMDG 737-600/700 and I am unable to install it. The installer program says that I need to have FS9.1 installed and I do. Just to be certain, I tried running the FS9.1 updater again and it said that FS9.1 was already installed. For some strange reason the PMDG installer is not identifying the FS9.1 installation and says that I only have FS9.0 installed. The reply I got from the support people at PMDG was that I would most likely have to re-install FS9. Is there something else that I can do other than re-installing 40GB worth of Flight Sim.Thanks.Scott

Hi all.This is my first message on this forum.I'm using again, on my fs2002, an old version of 737ng (I think it's v1.0).I have new sid/stars, but the fmc doesn't read them. It finds a lot of errors, for example (error at TRK, line 23).What can I do?Can I upgrade my FMC? Otherwise, where can I find good Sid/Stars?Thank you.

Hi thereI still have the problem that flaps and ailerons are not moving at my 747 PMDG FSX (only mechanic parts underneath are moving, hydraulics are fine). I got one answer saying to check advanced animation. Where can I find this advanced animation, is it in the fsx or part of the PMDG or do I have to look at the grafic card? someone else told me the solution could be whether my grafic-card (nVidia 7600 GT) supports shader 2.0. Recently my PC crashed and I lost everything which was not saved to back up.I thought I had saved my PMDG 747 but when reinstalling this to my repaired PC I discovered I had only saved the lessons etc. Although the aircraft did show but had no instrument panel.It was completely black.Also the complete aircraft could be flown from the out side veiw. I have written to PMDG twice, hoping they will allow me to re download this plane, furnishing them with all purchase information. So far I have had no response from them. It does not seem in charactor with them as in the past they have been most helpfull with information. That was when I had the aircraft flying. Is it differen…

Hi,Like many others i was waiting and waiting for the PMDG 744 update, and was very very happy for when it finally came out! So thanks for that PMDG :DReading the updates list for the FS9 PMDG 744 version 1.20 it states an update for PW/RR EPR values to reflect more realistic numbers.Now my question is: How far have these numbers been changed? And were exactly? Hi,I've got a problem with the 747 FSX. It doesn't track the ILS beam correctly. I first thought is was caused by the navdata, that differs from the FSX airport data. But this seems not to be the case.Facts: Airport ESMS, runway 35. I am having issues with the 737 CDU (FMC). The bottom # clickspots seem to be off for me. I go to hit a 0, or anything on the bottom row, and the key from above (8 for the 0) punches. I can still get it to work, but have to make sure I click very low on the CDU, almost bottom of the window.IS this normal?Thanks

Just bought the PMDG747-400, I have all the other PMDG A/C and they load and work fine. the 747 won't load as it says I don't have the updated fs9.1 files. I do and have for some time.
