Are the 747's lights (landing, taxi, strobe etc) controllable with the keyboard?I was under the impression that the recent update makes this possible?

I just bought this great airplane and am currently underway to run the tutorial. As this takes some time I would like to save the flight.However, after loading my saved flight again, FMC shows "no active route" and IRS is not aligned any more - even if I load my panel state from the pmdg menu.Does the 744x have some issues with save/load?If there are some issues - how to I re-activate my flight plan?Thanks a lot for your help,Holger

Hello,I just recently purchased the 737-600/700 because I wanted to upgrade to more realistic flights. However, I have very limited experience on programming FMC's. My question is, are there any step by step instructions on how to program the FMC properly? For example; "start by pressing the menu key and choose flight plan, then press route. On the route page enter your departure airport, then enter your arrival airport. Now press the cruise alt button and enter your....." and so on. Do you know what I mean? I am haveing 2 problems with the 747 x latest version. I cant see any post here suggesting anyone else is having the same problems so i have tried a clean re install of the product but still the same result.problem 1this is somthing that i think i was aware of before the last patch regarding heading select autopilot mode. i noticed that during any adjustments that i make to the heading select button on the MCP the yokes would shake eraticaly as long as i held the mouse clicked over it and the bug is moving left or right . as soon as i relesed the hdg button the shaking ceases. Ok, I'm missing something here.I can find the panel.cfg under fsx:SimObjectsAirplanesPMDG747-400, and I can modify it (eg: initial panel size), and see the results when I choose to fly the PMDG vairiation, but, it doesn't seem to affect the Qantas Wunula Dreaming variation.why is that?where do I have to put the mods to affect Wunula?

Hi all,I'm new to these forums and have searched as much as possible to get an answer to this but to no avail.I am running XP SP2 on a Mac (not under emulation i.e. Parallels but under Apple's Boot Camp) and FSX SP2 (not Acceleration). So I'm running natively. I'm using a 3ghz quad core with 4 gigs RAM and getting frame rates of over 30fps with Horiaon VFR scenery with all the sliders to the right pretty much. So the machine can cope well.I loaded PMDG747X and everything seemed to load OK. There were no errors or slip ups. Hi!Can someone please tell me how can i make the decision height callouts to work?For example, in wilcopub's airbus, i set the decision height in the FMC, and i have the callouts at that altitude. But in PMDG, in cannot find anything in the FMC, or anywhere else. I also searched the manuals, but didn't help. I love this product and the "approaching minimums" and "minimums" callouts is all i'm missing in order to have a better real life experience.

Hi there, I have a set of Saitek PZ44 yoke, throttle, and PZ35 rudder pedal. Before I use them, my PMDG autobrake worked fine. It doesn't work after I installed those hardwares. I've read this website: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&mesg_id=145014, and they said the new patch does fix the problem. I downloaded and installed it but the problem still exists. I tried to e-mail the PMDG support and they told me to deal with it by FSUIPC. I'm sucks in FSUIPC... Anyone had same problem but did fix? Can you help me and tell me how? Thanks!

Just one question about the "Controls override option" in the PMDG menu.I haven't been able to get any result checking or unchecking the "throttle" box in the PMDG menu. In both cases, once the autothrottle is active, moving the joystick throttle wheel produces no results.I'm using a very simple Trust joystick and a non registered FSUIPC.Any suggestions ?. Thanks.

More autothrottle problems. It works fine during climb, but once I reach cruising altitude, instead of settling down to the N1 setting that will keep me flying at the correct speed, it oscillates between about 92% and 101% with a period of about a minute. The continual change in engine sound is quite noticeable.Meanwhile the throttle lever is jerking about like a mad thing, which is even stranger.Any ideas why this might be happening? I should mention that I've got a fairly old machine, a single core 3GHz P4. Could it be that this just isn't enough to allow the simulation to operate smoothly? I'm getting a new machine soon so I guess I'll find out then.Colin

This is a heart-felt plea.Could you folks please talk to the Project Magenta folks and make your upcoming FSX products work with the various PM software products?Your work is clearly the best in terms of aircraft model and systems for those that don't have burgeoning sim-pits, and your moves to support the GoFlight/Engravity hardware have gone a long way to bridging the gulf between the "hobby flyer" and the "sim-pitter", but with FSX not yet having any really great 737/747 models that will work with the PM cockpit software, there's an untapped market that it would be truely excellent to see you moving into.Murray (B1900D, 737NG and QoS owner, and now working at a PM 737N…

HiI have just started to use the repaint kit from your website and have hit a snag. I have repainted the main fuse into the base colours for corsair.fly and amended the cfg file for the new repaint. I copied the Cathay Pacific Cargo textures into the folder and then copied the fuse textures into it overwriting the Cathay ones. I have tried to test the textures in flight sim but as soon as i select the aircraft it crashes to desktop. If i copy the original cathay fuse textures back then it works fine. I have even tried copying over the textures onto the cathay ones in photoshop and they still dont work. Looks like the 747 doesnt want to go blue!!!! Is there a program…

hi, i have the above products and the landing gear, flaps throttle and brakes all operate ok in the pmdg 737 and 747 but i cannot get any of the mcp functions to operate within the ch control manager. can anyone with a similar set up please help where i am going wrong. thanks in advance. richard welsh.

Hi AllAfter the last AIRAC cycle from Navigraph I found a couple of waypoints that had not been corrected to a new position. I was able to fix this by going into WpNavFIX and correcting the LAT/LONG.However I also tried to add a couple of waypoints that were missing completly, but these would not show up.Does anyone know how to fix this?CheersDavid

Greetings!Approaching KBWI, I was cleared for ILS 15R. I set up FMC for the approach, but never intercepted the localiser.I then did some investigating and dicovered some strange things.I'm hoping someone can help.First of all, I discovered that although the FMC indicated the correct ILS freq./course for Rwy 15R, the PFD was indicating the wrong ILS ident./course. (see image). With some more investigating, I discovered that the ident./course that was displayed on the PFD was actually for Rwy 33L, the reciprocal runway. On looking into my Navigraph charts and also the AirNav site, I see that both runways 15R and 33L have the same ILS freq.Is this possible? If so, how would…
