I have looked in the PMDG manual under abnormal procedures and cant find what the procedure is for trying to restart the engine when inflight.It only lets me know what to do for a one engine landing.Any help appreciatedBob

The PMDG 737 and 747 is tuly an amazing work of art software. But how close are the flight dymanics to the real 737 and 747 for example are the flight dymanics 95% to the real thing? With this software is being very realistic why dont PMDG markert this as an 'procedural simulator' for use with real world training? as one pilot who flys real 737's states the PMDG sim is 'so good that we can use it to train for real world operations' http://www.bradleymarsh.com.au/homepage/index.htmlwell done to pmdg and keep up the good worklatersPhil.

HiI use the PMDG 747, I have just reinstalled my pc, reinstalled fsx and accelerator pack. Followed by PMDG 747. I am having problems with the software for PMDG, I can take off and climb for about five mins, hit about 15000ft, aircraft tail sinks and descends heavily, cant make it climb. Then hits the ground.Any suggestions ???Or just reinstall it again ??any help would be good.

I don't understand how reverse thrust can ever be "idle". Is it not dynamic by definition? What am I missing?Jonathan

I just purchased the PMDG 747. Great plane but I was very disapointed that my Go-Flight (Except the throttles) button are not working with this program. I am not good at all with computor and always plug and play. Is any one of you able to help me and get my go-flight buttons working with PMDG.Thank youAl

Hi Guys,I'm planning the following flight KLAX-VHHH (CPA881). I've adjusted my load in load manager to get below 875,000lbs, however the fuel requirements keep showing above 421,000lbs of fuel. If I'm correct, the max I can carry is 382,236lbs. In order to reduce my fuel requirements, I would need to fly very lean (hardly any passengers and cargo). hello I have a copy of the PMDG 747 Queen of the skies that i bought a couple of years ago, which has seen a few better days - being put in and out of the case for reinstall of FS - due to FS crashing to the point where you have to start from scratch. Anyway The disc is in the shape where it is unreadable by the install program. Is there a way that I could get the disc replaced through PMDG, and pay a moderate charge, or is my only option to just replace it and buy a new copy at retail?ThanksZach Bender K7LTF

Hi,I have tried to convert some textures from the FS2004 version to FSX verion by using Photoshop with the Nvidia DDS plug in but when i save them using the FSX SDK Imagetool, when I load the a/c the textures are there but are all over the aircraft in weird places. i.e The fueslage textures are upside down and at the wrong end of the aircraft.However, when I load the DDS textures form an aircraft that works the textures are orientated exactly as I have them, so am confused at what is going wrong.Could anyonre offer some advice where I might be going wrong, or if someone could point me in the right direction of how to convert a FS2004 texture to FSX DDS texture?This is all…

Hi all,This is just a quick question regarding the 738. I've had it for some time, but also haven't flown it in some time, and just wanted to check and see if it has the Pause at Top of Descent feature, or if thats just on the 747.I just want to make sure before I launch FlightSim on a flight, and end up going to bed before I finish.Thanks!Hunter

For the 747-400X, the manual states to set the IRS Selectors to NAV then ALIGN, and leave here until the counters reach 0. I tried it both by setting them to ALIGN and NAV (per a suggestion in a lesson) but when the counters reach 0, they continue with -1, -2, etc. The ND does not show the map. I am doing something incorrectly. What's the correct procedure for setting the IRS ? I would like to know how to start it up from a "cold and dark" state.Thanks,Zach

I am trying to carry out some ILS approaches at LHR using the PMDG B744.I am unable to enter the ILS into the FMC - I keep getting the message "INVALID ENTRY"I have tried entering 109.50/272 and 110.30/272 without any success.Any suggestions?Thanks Peter Barrett

Im having an unusual problem on some airports when landed.ATC advises me to contact ground. On contacting ground, im being given the options for take off only..Instead of being given the option to request taxi to the gates.I have flown the Wilco airbus to the airports and do not have the problem.Any ideas??Mike

I have a big problem with the 747 not tracking the route correctly using LNAV. I read in this thread where I also posted screeshots of my problem http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...45410&mode=full that there is a patch planned. Does this patch apply also to the FS9 version? I participated in the Cross the Pond event a last weekend and had to fly the whole route in Heading select mode... :)I have tried re-installing the 747 for FS9 and also out of desperation formatted the hard drive and installed everything again. I am trying to set up the B744 for a departure out of LHR. How can I hold the DME from one VOR (LON 113.6) whilst displaying lateral information from another VOR (say BPK?)I know that this is easy to do in most aircraft - but I have never found a way of doing it in FS. I wondered if PMDG had addressed this area?Thanks for any advice.

In PMDG747 "Normal Procedures": APU ON, WNEN AVAIL, APU GEN CTRL SWITCHES 1 AND 2 ON, FUEL CONTROL SWEICHES 1,2,3,4 CUTOFF.If I do these just after I start the FS004 and load the PMDG747 model. It looks and sounds OK.But if I do these after landing, I got horn when I cutoff the fuel of engin 2. And still before that everything looks normal in EICAS.Thanks.

can any one tell me how to turn off te sound when you load the 747 that sound like wind blowing, that over powers basically everything. I think it's the air conditioning but I am unsure how to turn it off.Thanks in advance

Bought the new version of the 747 for FSX. Installation of aircraftand liveries went smoothly however when trying to load one of theliveries for the first time I get an FSX error as shown.For your info I am running WinXP SP2 and FSX with SP2 installed.Any help much appreciated, specially since I also have problemsgetting the competitor's 767 running as well. Funny the only aircraft that runs smoothly is the 737PIC considering is the less expensive aircraft of the lot!.Regards

Hello,I have a question regarding the sound update for the 747. I purchased the 747-400 pax version and then installed the sound update. A few days later I decided to purchase the 747-400F cargo version. I installed the cargo version 2 days ago. I am not sure if I need to reinstall the sound update or just leave it alone. I have searched the forum and it seems the recommended order of install is 747 pax, then 747 cargo, and the sound update last. But I dont see anything about installing the pax version, then the sound update, and at a later date installing the cargo version. Anyone have any suggestions?Thanks,Adam

Does this product run perfectly well with just FSX SP1 or does it require FSX SP2 to be installed first? Many Thanks.

Hi,Yesterday I've noticed that when the panel lights are on, a black line appears on the captain's side just below the MCP.
