Good day,I cannot operate the thrust reversers on my fs9 747-406F 1.1. This model is GE engine variant, so the T/R's are pneumatically actuated and electrically controlled. All requirements are met.-ground mode-engine running-fire switch normal-pneumatic pressure supplied-electrical power suppliedIt seems this bird needs to have its respective SYS FAULT light distinguished on the hydraulic control panel in order to translate those sleeves. Applying/removing pneumatic pressure does not effect the operation of the T/R's. Remember it's not PW4000 series...or is it?Anyone else experiencing the same, or it's just my own setup that's totally messed up?regards,delcom

Hi @ all,I've got an nerved problem with my PMDG 747-400X (latest version) and my Logitech WingMan RumblePad controller.When I active the autopilot after takeoff a few minutes later the autopilot were disconnected without a reason. After reading the first chapter of the manual I selected the both check boxes in the PMDG options menu so that the autopilot shouldn't be disconnected by user elevator/ruder trimming.But this hasn't any effect in my case. My autopilot were disengaged without any action of mine (everty time the message "User handled elevator trim was detected!" were displayed). Hi everybody,i`m hoping you guys can help me solve my ils tuning woes.I`ve just purchased the 747-400x after flying the level D 767 for a few months now.I`ve got to say i love the flight model but there is one burning issue that is stopping me from completely enjoying the package.When i create a flight in the FMC, i add the depature airport and runway, and then the arrival airport and runway (i activate and execute the route after inputting the way points). However, as i approach, for example a runway extension of 10 miles from rw27 at egnx, i cannot get the 747 ils to automatically tune. Hi, Could someone tell me which one should I get. I only use it fsx with PMDG and activesky.. is it worth to pay extra $200 for q9450?? I have purchased the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke/Pedals set. I have successfully mapped certain PDMG747-400X commands to the buttons on the yoke but I cannot get the most important ones to work:In the PMDG menu I have mapped key command T to AutoThrottle Arm, Z to Auto Pilot Command (centre), X to Autopilot Disengage and Shift=F1 to TOGA.Using the keyboard I can get these to work, but cannot seem to get the assignments linked up to the yoke in the FSX commands menu. The FSX commands menu does not even have an option for A/P Disengage, only A/P Master?? I have been thru the PMDG lesson on this. I have three questions:1)I have looked through the forums and did not find the solution to my problem. Tried ALT INTV but did not work. I am flying at FL320 and had VNAV disengaged (at one point during the climb it was engaged up until ATC's first altitude restriction). Then used FLCH and leveled of at FL320 and asked ATC for FL change to FL340. I have changed the FL in FMC and in ACT RTE LEGS at the next waypoint but when I click on VNAV it gives me 'CHECK MCP ALT" and MCP ALT says FL320.2) How do you set the mach speed in the FMC? I am using a flat panel which works well with the default MSFS 737 at night, all of the buttons and switches are visible. However, when I switch to the PDMG 737-800 I only see the labels for the switches, cannot tell if they are on or off. Is there anything else that can be done instead of adjusting the brightness/contrast on the monitor?I will try to post the image this evening.Thank you.Marek

There are a few things forgotten on certain instruments on the panel:1. On the ctd status page there is no oxygen for crew and passengers sign.2. On the ctd there is no temperture notice for the crew rest area and the bulk cargo area.3.on the ctd there is no orange sign on the doors page if the doors are open.4.there is no maintance page on the FMC.5. it is not possible to see cargo in the bulk area on the 747 freighter.These are small shortcomings, but if the ifly 747 includes these things, it certainly should be on the PMDG.I like to see this things implemented, to make it a hardcore simulator. Hello, I have been trying some great circle routes recently that go near the arctic areas, or at least along the northern coasts of Canada. Flying the pmdg 747-400 for fsx.I've noticed that sometimes I will suddenly get a warning from the FMC saying something like "MAX ALT FL210". It seems like I enter a very strange pressure area and have to reduce altitude significantly in order to get any thrust from the engines. Otherwise I just tend to slowly lose airspeed until stalling out. It doesn't usually seem to be accompanied by particularly bad weather or anything. Hi,Using XP, FSX SP2, and the Queen, and some times (only some times), the Queen goes a bit nutters!In the latest sage, the Queen for some reason missed the TETAN waypoint (by less than 2nm), the Queen with the AP engaged, went to a close to 180 degree bank angle, FL CH auto matically engaged as it's supposed to, it did a 360, missed the waypoint a SECOND time, and on the point to making the second 360 turn at a bank angle close to 180 degrees, I interfined and bypassed the TETAN waypoint on the LEGs page.Other occurances, the Queen makes allot of left/right turns (steap turns) whilst in cruise for example when it seems to be SLIGHTLY off path as far as the fly by wire go…

Hi,I just installed the 747-400X-package and made some trials.The passenger-version works just fine, but I have a strange problem with the freighter-version.The autopilots main-panel shows no data, neither in VC nor in 2D-view. As I can see on the MFD's, the knobs work and the values r set, but I dont see them on the autopilots readouts.I de- and re-installed several times, but the result remained the same.I run FSX with SP1 and accelerator-pack.Anybody got a hint what may be wrong?Best regards and thx in advanceK. Is it possible in a missed approach type of scenario to re-program the FMC while in flight to land on a different rwy or even a different airport ? I tried doing this by entering some waypoints manually on the LEGS page (Approach Transition), which was empty, with the objective of eventually selecting a new rwy or even a new airport but got "Program Errror". Could not do anything with it and had to exit the flight.Thanks,Zach

Calculating the take-off weight and performance accurately is a major part of the flying experience for me. The current Load Manager makes things difficult in specifying exact take-off weights. Whilst the interface of graphical choice of passenger and cargo configurations is excellent, it assumes a fixed basic operating empty weight/dry operating weight, it enables only 'lumpy' specification of passenger and cargo weights, and the fuel guage is difficult to use accurately. I would like to see the ability to be able to manually modify the values of dry operating weight, passenger and cargo weights, and fuel on board.In addition, would it be possible to enable the Units fie…

Hi EverybodyI need help for the PMDG 747 for Fight Sim 2004. I have it installed using Vista and I cannot get the EFIS-Controls to work.I have tried always to click on the controls in EFIS to say bring up the airports and just cannot do anything.If I want to do a flight from say Gatwick to Newcastle I have to load the old way using flight Planner and keep on clicking the map view.Any help would be greatly apreciated in this matter.ThanksPaul

Hi Everyone,As we haven't heard anything for some time now on the new 7378 thought it time again for bringing up the issue of systems logics for PMDG'd new 737 so us cockpit builders can have something like Project Magenta. I for one would like to see some kind of interface process/access so that we can build a "replica" cockpit that works like the real thing. Dear Flight-Simmers and Advisers.Untill a few days ago I could still go onto Flight Simulator 2004 and load my PMDG 737-700 and start flying. But now as i want to start flying I try to load my aircraft and at the moment when he tries to load the Airac Database he completely gets blocked. :(The computer completely gets blocked and i can see my desktop. I have no idea what the problem is. I also have the PMDG 747-400 but there are no problems when loading the Airac database. When first loading another aircraft and then the PMDG 737 NG is also get's blocked?Can anyone help me? RegardsSwayze(Belgium)

I've searched both forums for an accurate cfg file for these lights and to my amazement I've found nothing.:-eek I tried using the cfg file in their data base, but it doesn't seem remotely close when using the 'gear' section for the vc entry.Has anyone been using these lights with any success? If so could some kind sould please post their relevant sections of their cfg files for me pleeeeaaase??Thanks guys!

After a perfect landing, attempted to taxi (EDDM) to the gate but the 747-400X continued to pull hard to the right. Had turned-off A/P after landing and no other indication of any other problems.Has anyone had this before ? Any way of avoiding it ?Thanks,Zach
