    hi on a recent flight my 737-900NG was running out of fuel on the central tank, but i noticed that the wings were 100% full, i turned on the switch for crossfeed fuel but nothing happenened can someone explain me how to crossfeed fuel to the central tank?

    Hi everyone... well I purchased 400X from PMDG yesterday and eagerly installed it. To my dismay, since the first takeoff I've had nothing but dramas with it - first the CRTs froze about 30 seconds after takeoff, then they went blank. Now, I'm getting errors ranging from switches not working, gear lever stuck up, nosewheel jammed 90 degrees left, throttles not working, EICAS displaying incorrect info, nothing working on OHP, etc. etc.I've read a couple of other posts that state this is a verification issue - which is very annoying, as this software was purchased completely legitimately, and it was working 100% for just long enough to let me know how much I'll love the sim …

    Would it be possible for the lowest level of lighting in the 2D panel (ie just the panel back lighting) could be done without the dark panel bitmap that is also included, so the panel can be allowed to get duller as the light gets lower?The black night bitmap can be a too dark during dawn/dusk, when it's still fairly light, but back lighting of the text on the panels is useful.

    More "strangeness" at my end. When I create a flight my panel switching buttons work fine. If I save that flight and come back to it later...pushing any of the panel switching buttons locks up FS9 until I get a shutdown (and the usual request to send info to MS...yeah...right! THAT'll fix it!! LOL). Anybody seen this one before? Between this and my non-working chrograph I'm thinking it might be time for a re-install of the entire 6,7,8 & 9 series. I'd rather avoid it, however, so I'll wait awhile for your responses and fly something else for now. Vic

    Hi,Due to installation of a new motherboard, I have formated all my harddrives. I am now setting everything up again, including the FSX with all its add-ons.The installation of PMDG747X went Ok. The problem starts when I selects 747 in the "Select Aircraft"-window. Then I get a "A fatal error has occured. Tell Microsoft about this problem"-message.Earlier I installed the Wilco/FeelThere 737PIC, but uninstalled it again, after I remember it created some conflict with PMDG.     Hi all,Please can someone advise - I want to assign a button on my j/stick to the TOGA function in the 747-400X.I have assigned a keyboard command to this function - the button "]" in the PMDG menu in FSX and then also assigned the "]" key to a button on the j/stick in the Control menu of FSX. Nothing happens. The only way I can get the TOGA to work is in the 2D panel by clicking the screw on the MCP next to the auto throttle arm switch.Can someone perhaps describe how to do this as I have a wide screen monitor and the 2 D cockpit is streched and I like to stay out of it.GregH

    Darn... I should know better than to trust FSX scenery.After a 13 hr flight the default scenery is missing the ILS16 and the runway is in the wrong place. Bummer. It was just a really big letdown cause I've never flow further than KJFK-EGLL and the latest FSUIPC has finally tamed the horrible MSFS winds and then only to have MSFS trip me up after all that nice flying. Geeze. I'll always compare the default stuff with the navdata for now on.Anyone have a favorite ZSPD scenery?

    Have pmdg 747 for a few months now. The only problem I'm having is that the AI traffics landing gear is not viewable until I get closer to the traffic. Ive tired default AI, Ultimate traffic and my traffic x. Having problem in both 2D and Virtual cockpit. In 2d the AI gear is viewable most of the time if looking out the sides windows but in straight ahead view I have to get very close to the AI to see the Gear. Performance is great, 12 - 18 Frame Rate as busy airports with traffic sliders at 80%, have the same problem of not seeing AI gear at not so busy airports with minimal traffic. All graphics settings are maxed out except water, no auto traffic, minimal ships and boa…

    I don't mean the "Chronograph"...that shows "00:00" all the time and won't show Local or Zulu time no matter how many buttons I push on it. How do you fly a scheduled flight without knowing the time?? LOL! If there isn't a clock (or a PMDG fix for a missing clock) I'll just add one myself...it just seems surprising that this was overlooked? Vic

    hey, for helping to track down issues, do the pmdg aircraft (747X in particular) have the simulated equivalent of the flight data recorder found on the 'real thing'?if not, why not? surely the value of the real one would be just as useful in the simulated case - being able to understand what is happening after the fact.if the sim has such a thing, I should think that this would be very useful for giving the developers the ability to look into how a particular issue cropped up.please advise.regards,peter belbin.

With all my other aircraft, including payware, Shift+S on the keyboard changes the panel view backwards, so I can, for instance, go directly from cockpit to spot view.In PMDG a/c the Shift+S key does nothing and I can only change views 'forwards'.     Hello,I just installed the 737NG and 737-800/900. For about a year ago i used it for the last time. I now started to plan a flight into the fmc. When i used the numbers at the scratchboard, the number 1 - 6 are ok. 7-9 give me 4-6 and the decimal, the zero and the +- give me 7-9.     I usually fly this wonderfull a/c without problems.... But now I'm trying to make something I'm not able.I would like to set a flight plan with altitude constraint to follow a step climb profile. This how I do:I put the final level into the FMC perf page or cruize page (ex. fl400) . Then I set altitude constraints into the flight plan page beside one or two waypoint (ex. fl320 and fl 360). Engage VNAV.I expect the a/c reach these points and then continue to climb automatically untill fl400 is reached. But usually this not happens. The a/c reach the first constraint and stays there. It continue to climb if I press vnav again.There is something wrong in my procedure?Thank y…

    Hi gang,I did see a thread about this issue in the forum some time back, however, after scouring the forum tonight i could not find it.As procedure states, I always engage the LOC on the MCP prior to engaging the APP function, and always from a lower altitude than the glideslop intercept altitude (flying into the glideslope and not over it) After acheiving LOC and still at a lower level than the glideslope, I then engage APP.Eventualy the aircraft does settle into a nice and balanced Fianl approach profile, however, the initial intercept is very violent with the aircraft unatrualy pitching up and climbing, then sharply pitching down again once established.     Hello all, I have had the 747/737 for a while but I am still confused on the proper way to determine wind direction and speed when it comes to flight planning. I have AS6 which calculates an average speed and direction per waypoint. The problem is I have no idea how to apply this information. The speed is self explanatory, however I am confused about the heading of the winds.For instance a wind heading of 250 at a given waypoint would relate how to the aircraft? Does it mean 250 degrees as seen from the aicraft heading or is it 250 in relation to grid or magnetic north?I know it is probably a beginners question but I wanted to clear this up.
