I m having a problem after landing. I cannot control the plane anymore after touchdown.The steering bacomes funny and I have difficulties keeping the plane going straigth with my joystick. Anyone has esperienced this problem?Thank you

Am just wondering what the "normal" computer resource levels should be for the 747-400 in FS9? I am currently running a Intel X6800, 2GB Corsair Dominator memory, and 2 7950GX2 vid cards in SLI. I disable all background processes using "end it all". During cruise in the 747-400 (FS9) the task manager is telling me I am using (these are averaged by me for the data givin over time) CPU=59% Page File=1.51GB. The memory usage seems quite high to me, but maybe not that is why I am asking.Regards,Joe

Not being able to find any fixes to the problems I'm having in FSX, I've decided to go back to FS9.I installed FS9 without any problems and then installed my old version of the 744.When I attempt to select the aircraft I get this message:"FSUIPC too old, you need version 3.48 or later. MSFS will now close"I've gone into modules > FSUIPC > and it says V3.53What's going on? Am I now going to have to fork out money for another version of FSUIPC? ArghhhhhMartin Neep

Can anyone tell me how to get the best performance out of my Graphics Card and Intel Duo 8400 Processor. I have 2 gigs of DDR2. I need to know which individual settings need to be set to what levels. I would really appreciate any input you can provide.Thanks,Alex

Hi Guys, have just recently upgraded to Vista and it has taken sometime to get things back to where they were. Have re-installed the 737-800/900 and downloaded several liveries from the PMDG website. The -900s are fine but I cannot get the -800s to load. They install fine and the files are there in the FS9 Aircraft files but when I run FS9 the program cannot find them.Also, I cannot get the airstairs to work on either model. I am aware of how you set the keys to perform this function but it wont work.Any assistance would be appreciated.John Watt

Hi there,Just a quick question - how is the performance of undocked windows, and all the multi monitor stuff (IE 4 screens) in FSX on PMDG 744?I'm awaiting the Aerosoft MCP drivers before making the jump... the last I heard on that was beta status about a month ago. A real basic question but... after downloading various liveries for the FSX 747... how do you go about installing them? I directed the install wizard to my microsoft games/flight simulator x/ directory but that doesn't appear to work. Can't find the instructions on the PMDG site.

Hy Simflyers.If i reload a RC saved Flight with the PMDG 747 in FSX SP2, i cant use the Gauges which i select with the Shift+1....9 keys.This Gauges appear for a second wholy black, than nothing happens any time i press the shift+...keys.I saved and reloaded a flight without RC,but with the 747 PMDG Aircraft, all keys are ok.I saved and reloaded a Flight with RC and standard Aircraft, all keys are ok.I dont know is it a RC or a PMDG problem,but together they wont go.This only happens when i reload a flight.Any solutions?I Post this Thread also in the RC Forum.thankshowy1PS: Win XP SP2

I personally havent noticed any VCs that show the nose/cowling of the aircraft in front. I find I have a hard time linning up any aircraft in FlightSim though I have no problem doing it in real-life. Im suspecting that I natural take cues from cowling/nose and its relation and relative movement with the center-line and such...but with no cowling/nose in FS in 2D or VC I find Im all over the place.Is it possible for PMDG to add in the 3D representation of the cowling/nose from inside he cockpit?Lastly, which zoom setting is most accurate from scale, relation, etc from 2D and VC. I assume the 1x zoom is actually a fish-eye view, so a higher zoom of 1.5x or more would bet…

Has anyone found a fix for the GPS problem in the B1900C VC view? The picture within the GPS is squashed. I've also tried the Simflyer FSX GNS but it does the same thing. See 1st Attachment. The 2D pop up view looks OK however.Has anyone found a fix for the multi gray rectangle that shows up on the PMDG B1900D VC view located where the backup attitude indicator is located? See 2nd Attachment. Also the fuel Icon does not work.If anyone has had any success in fixing this or isn't seeing this please help.I wish PMDG would at least fix these two things.Thanks!Mike

I think it's a given that a considerable amount of PMDG clientele who are waiting desperately for the upcoming PMDG 737NGX, and in the interim, I would like to ask any of the faithful PMDG users if anybody purchased the 'JustRight PIC 737' for FSX and if so, would it be worth it to fill in the gaps, so-to-speak, until the NGX is finalized? Maybe not the right place to ask this question, but I'm a 737 lover and want an answer from the more experienced flight-simmer...meaning those who hold PMDG as the 'Gold-Standard' of 'Flight Simulation'.Regards,jack

Hello,I just loaded up the 737-800 in FS 9.1 after flying mainly the 747 lately.(latest airac cycle from navigraph and I moved them to the right folder) The airplane is totally misaligned on the ND. But is fine on the 747? What am I doing wrong?

Hey Dan,Quick question; do you by chance use FSBuild2 for flight-planning purposes? Have you ever compared Ernie's monthly AIRAC updates to your cycles? If they're quite different, I was just wondering how hard it would be to port your monthly releases to a SID-STARS update in FSBuild2?I have a nasty habbit of soley relying on FSBuild2 for planning and not referncing any charts. Then when I get to the FMC, the SID-STARS choices become much more elaborate for your airports (thankfully).Just a thought...Regards,

Hello CaptsI have this situation where the B744 get erratic when I have to turn to the Loclizer to land.It starts to turn, but keeps turning and even as the bank limit is on 25 degr. it keeps on turning untill it eventuely stalls.After a flight of 2 or 5 hours this is a pity. I have check the rudders and other things but didn't find any specials.I did turn off the AP and turned it on again, but that didn't help eitherIt also occasionely happens when I take off but that is perhaps once a year.Is there someone who has experienced this also.This is annoying especialy when I fly ATC online.Hope some one has some clue.Carlos Oosterling }( }( ;(

I think I solved my problem with the PMDG 747 X. I had the problem of getting the error message that I ran out of memory.I lowered my screen resolution down to 1280 by 960 32 from 1680 by 1050 32 and PMDG 747 not only still looks great, but runs smooth as silk. I actually got an FPS of 20.9 in some areas. Within the airports it's down to about 14 but still looks very smooth.I made a complete short flight from EGLL to LFPD with an ILS landing on RWY 9L and didn't get the OOM error at all. Hoorra!!I am running Vista 32 bit with Intel Core2 Quad and never could get just a few miles from the departure airport before I would get the OOM error.I thought that I would post th…

When attempting to use the FSX ATC with the PMDG 747-400, I get inconsistent results at best. I have made sure that the FSX flightplan is generated with the IFR designation (XML file) and I have two versions of the flightplan through FSBuild- FSX and PMDG. However, I am unable to get the ATC prompt for an IFR departure, keep getting the prompt to tune Ground control or the Tower. Have tried reloading the FSX plan multiple times through the FSX menus but it's not working.Is there an order of steps that must be executed to get this to work ? I have seen posts in the past where people do indeed use the dual flightplan approach for this purpose.Thanks,Zach

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced any texture problems in the VC with the 747X.Last night, I did a complete fresh install of FSX and all my add-on's and planes. I jumped into the the cockpit just to make sure everything was running ok. When I turned on some lighting, the texturesnear the top of the windshield were dancing around. I've attached a small video clip to show exactly what it looks like.
