Hi, it seems that I have a problem when I try to register FSUIPC. Whenever I register FSUIPC, restart FS9 like it states, and try to select the PMDG 747, I get a pop up message saying that my FSUIPC version is too old and PMDG only support 3.48 and up. When I press the okay message, it closes FS9. However when I remove the registration info from the Modules folder, FSUIPC once again become a free version and PMDG works. I cannot get any NDB's on my ND (737-6/7). I can push any displaybutton and get VOR's, Airports, waypoints etc but no NDB's. I can set the frequency and see the blue arrow for the direction, but on the map display it's not visible. Where have they gone?

Did I miss some update, or is there no SPD INTV knob for the 736/7NG? I have seen it introduced in the -8/9 series. Will it be introduced in the standard -6/7 series?

A situation with which I am having a problem while still testing/learning the model:1. Start FSX2. Load the PMDG 747-400X3. Select airport and runway4. Select weather and time-of-day.(Just the above, no other actions)5. Take-off, all is working well.6. I Reset the flightThis places me back at the rwy I started at BUT the PFD, ND and EICAS displays are dark/black, all else seems to be working. The SAME thing occurs if I do End Flight and then do steps 1-4. If I exit FSX and restart, I am back to normal. Any thoughts on what the problem is ? Hello,I have recently (on two recent flight....744X) experiencing VNAV problems. With autopilot, FD, LNAV all engaged in mid-flight, the plane does not keep the programmed altitude. Neither will it even respond to ALT HOLD command. I'm currently on a flight to WMKK at a programmed initial flight level of FL330. However, about an hour into the flight, this wield thing started happening and has been going on for the next three hours. I have checked and cross checked everything and cannot pinpoint it to anything right now. I should mention that, I'm flying at normal rate (real-time), with FSUIPC 4.20 (REG), ASX/XG,XPAX and PFE. In the PMDG OPS documentation, there is a number of recommendations for tweaks for several sections of the fsx.cfg file. In general, are these considered high impact changes proven to improve performance or are they more like "try it and see if you get better performance", i.e., highly variable results depending on configuration specifics ?Thanks

Here's a picture of a VNAV PATH descent into EGLL 09L. As you can see the aircraft's well below the computed path and flying level to intercept the path. So far, nothing extraordinary. But then, look at the speed: 20 kts below what it should be. And it stayed like that until intercepting the path.Why is the FMC flying the airplane at a lower speed than it should?

I need someone to answer a few questions for me. Am only about 5 days into PDMG 747-44X and FSCrew2 and am getting frustrated. I HAVE READ THE MANUALS! First question is about starting the APU. After I start FSX, load the aircraft, load the FSCrew2 panel state, set the fuel and complete the FP information, I try to start the APU using the directions from the manual. Although the APU's appear to start and run my cockpit remains blacked out, apparently because of no power.Second... Do I use the 747 Load Manager to set passenger, cargo only or do I use it to see fuel also? I notice the manual says to set the fuel from the FSCrew2 menu.Would really appreciate anyone who…

I'm sure everyone is aware now that PSS is out of business and there are a lot of disgruntled customers who cannot download the software anymore after they suffer a HDD format or crash or upgrade, due to the setup files requiring an internet connection to download the software from the PSS servers.I just realized PMDG uses a similar sort of setup where the customer has to get authorization over the internet to get permission to install the 747.In the unlikely even that PMDG decides to cease trading for whatever reason, what steps will be taken to ensure customers still have a product they can install WITHOUT authorization over an internet connection?ThanksGoran

While camping at the gate I thought it might be fun to open up all the doors on the freighter model. Using the drop down menu, I selected cargo and assigned the shift+ keys to open every door , tailstand , ect. . So far the only thing that works is the passenger stairs and the tailstand. I have questions in two areas of the MCP:1. MCP/CMDOn the right side of main panel/MCP, there are 3 CMD switches for engaging the A/P (at least this is how I understand it). No problem engaging the A/P with the left-most CMD. What are the other two for ? HOW and WHEN/under what circumstances are they used/engaged ? They must be usable since the mouse cursor turns into a hadn when it's over these switches.2. BRTToward the right side of the main panel, there are two switches marked UPR and LWR respectively with BRT between them. Guessing they mean "upper" and "lower" respectively but for what ? What's their function and when are they used ?Thanks.

Where are the FMC messages documented for meaning and action ? Got message "CHECK ALT TGT".

1. After a few flights with both 744 and 744F I noticed a considerable difference in the fuel consumption between both aircraft - its about 7 to 10 % LESS FF in the cargo version. I understand the definition of the is parameter (the size of one step for changing altitudes) but how and when is this used in flight ? I typically perform altitude changes through the MCP/ALT so what role does STEP SIZE play ? Is it useful, should it be used ?The same applies to COST INDEX. Should this be used ? Are there any guidelines anywhere on how values should be set ?

Hi all,I turned on my machine this morning and did my usual routine: start process explorer (from SysInternals) and then Microsoft FSXX. Thesplash screen stayed up for more than 20 minutes, so I looked atthe process with process monitor (also from SysInternals). I appreciate any help that can be offered.I am getting the following fatal error; pmdg_747400_main.dllMSFX will run fine on its own, but not when I run 400X. Hello,There is a warning sound at takeoff when the N1 is above 40%. The sound stops when the main wheels leave the runway. I follow the checklist but i must be doing something wrong...Ps. I have some problems with some SID's so i navigate to the first waypoint with VIA DIRECT in the FMC. Could that be the problem?

I have the 747-400 for FS9 (Aerosoft Europe CD version) and maybe it is me but I cannot find any way of saving any routes that I put in the FMC. My PMDG 747x works fine in FSX most of the time and I have enjoyed many long-haul flights with it already. But I have experienced FSX crash twice during the flights when I reacted to the traffic warnings that 747x TCAS system gave me. The first time happened few weeks ago when TCAS told me to lower the altitude and I did so by disengage the autopilot and push foward the yoke, then FSX suddenly stoped with an APPCRASH.
