Both of these tips have increased frame rates under FSX/Vista quite dramatically.1. Hi, I just acquired FSBuild and I'm playing around with it to see how it works. I am able to export the flightplan that I create to my PMDG 744. I also have Active Sky 6 which FSBuild uses in order to get the wind data for each fix. However when I load the exported flight plan I do not see any wind data in the FMC for each fix. Am I doing something wrong because the points are all entered but not the winds....Thanks,Igor.

HiWhen I replay a landing, the auto-spoilers appear deployed all the way down the approach, and the reverse thrust shrouds appear open likewise. Obviously, they should both action on touchdown and the selection of idle and then reverse thrust.I do have advanced animations selected 'on', and things work as they should on the FSX default planes. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but AVG has decided that Flight1's flt1chk4.dll now has a virus. For good measure FS9 pmdgoptions.dll also refuses to run although it has not been identified as holding a virus.Just wondered if anyone else has had the problem and more importantly a solution. They will no longer run even with AVG disabled.

helloi am new to the pmdg 747 and so far i must say it is an EXCELLENT addon and well worth getting.But i have a slight problemfor the moment i would like to fly with gps from A to B is there a way a can assign a button to open the GPS or find out the heading i need to get from A to B?or can i promgram the fmc to tell me information i need for the flight because i have followed a guide and it sais turn on the LNAV and VNAV and the plane will fly there but my LNAV and VNAV will not light up at all.i just want simple flights until i have the time to learn the advanced fmc programming.im sorry if this has been answered a million times before but i have looked and not found …

Hello all. I have been trying to figure this out on my own for some time now with no luck and reluctantly ask what I am certain is a bonehead question. in my ND I have the words TCAS off displayed. I have set the options to "show all aircraft" (There is no "Show all non-threateneing" as I have seen in other postings) How do I "turn on" the TCAS and wich display / mode should I see the output? I have searched postings through the operational manual, tutorials, and have scrubbed every panel view for a button and have had no success. I know I am going to feel stupid when I get the answer but please help!

Is it possible to get fs commander to work with the new 747-400X.I can't seem to find out how to get the flight plan loaded.I use fscommander 8.2.1.I olso know that its better to use the real FMC but i haven't masterd that.Please help me out.

I get this error 'egll err: sopit unknow' when using egll in my fms. Tried to look it up in this forum and re-installed my egll.txt from navdata - service (www.navdata.at), but with no success. What is wrong?

I recently bought the 747-400 for FSX and after about 30 seconds or so all the glass displays turn off, the plane still flys, I do not know how to turn them back on, what do I need to do to get support?Thanks.

Wellbasicallyhere goes...I am sitting at the gate or on the end of the rway or whereever i decide to startup. so i start up engines they are running nicely everything is good exept next to where the N1% shows up i have a message in yellow saying fuel tank/eng. what is this?but the main problem iswhen i open my FMC i type in the departure airport and the rway and the arriving airport then i go through the other pages ( takeoff , thrust limit. etc.) and click execute but no line or anything shows up on my navigationl display and when i turn on the F/D and press lnav or vnav after putting my V2 speed in, LNAV and VNAV do not light up. im newany help is very very much appreci…

Hi,I have noticed that when I activate fuel dump on the PMDG 747 and it annotates that it will take 13 minutes until the fuel level reaches the specified amount, 4 minutes later, it says there is still 12 minutes to go etc etc. The whole thing runs slowly. I am sure I am following the correct procedures and would be grateful for any advice.How fast should the fuel be leaving the aircraft and why does the clock and fuel dump appear to run slowly?ThanksRenzo

I bought a download version PMDG747X, after several reinstallations I can not install it anymore due to the install limit problem. after clicking the validate button it pop up the following meassage. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/181892.jpgI have mail the [email protected] 2 times from 1 week ago to request the manual approval. Heres the problem. I pre-flight, start engines and start to taxi no problem, then out of nowhere I lose all engine sound sometimes before take off or during a flight (never consistant). All I can hear is the APU's running and interior sounds ie. buttons, chimes, flaps, etc...in all views. I also lose wind noise. I recently started flying the 744F again and this has occured everytime ive tried to fly it the past few days. Ive flown her many times in the past with no problems. Ive tried everything I can think of. Ive double checked, re-checked sound settings on the PMDG, FS9 and control panel. I reinstalled the sound update, and updated the latest drivers for my sound …

I am using the 744 for fs9. A few times now I have reduced throttle in the climb with the AP and AT engaged. When I level out in cruise I notice that the Mach number climbs well past the set speed and I have to manually retard the throttles. No Set Spd message appears on the PFD so obviously I have disconnected the AT somewhere along the line.How do I reset the Autothrottles in flight? I have tried clicking on the AT and the SPD and N1 buttons but to no avail. Any ideas anyone?Gerry

Im using the B747 on FS9. About 10 -20 seconds after starting up, I lose the screen display on all electronic instruments. APU is running, cockpit lighting works, but none of the EFIS screens are lit up. Can anyone tell me whats happening.Thanks.

Hi everybody,just had a quick question. I selected random failures to be triggered from the PMDG menu in FS9 a couple of days ago before flying the 744F. I set the rate at 1 in 10 hours.I checked today as I was doing another flight with the 744F and saw that the tick-box was unchecked.I just wanted to know if every time I want to fly with a PMDG aircraft the random failure mode has to be re-selected or if once I choose random failures the module "memorizes" my preference thus leaving it active for the next flights.Thank you.Regards,Bjorn

Hi all:I am discussing the potential market for a 747 MCP and EFIS and EICAS Control Units with the folks over at Go-Flight.It would involve some costs for them as they would have to change switch locations, functions and color from the current 737 MCP Pro line up they produce.I have told them I feel there is a market for this product line. The MCP Pro for the 737 is priced at $499 and I would think the 747 MCP would be similarly priced. The two other units are less.Since the close of Aerosoft Australia's MCP production, there has not been a hardware manufacturer willing to take on the 744 series. I bought the PMDG 737-700 a couple of days ago and ran into some trouble. Firstly, FS9 quit when opening the PMDG 737's overhead window (shift-7) or the throttle window (shift-8). Secondly, my Saitek Aviator joystick throttles don't work properly. The throttles go to flight idle on the ground when I pull them back. Thirdly, after starting up a flight with the pmdg 737 I get black displays and only after selecting another aircraft and re-selecting the 737 I get the normal displaysI use the 737 on fs9 with Vista, ThanksDirk

For some reason, my HSI is now only showing 3 digits on the altitude readout.This was working ok before. I've tried reinstalling,but have the same problem. I have a hunch it may be a font or video card resolution problem. Any suggestions welcome.Ron

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but my search didn't turn anything up. I'm looking to purchase the 747X and I know about the update for the FS9 version of the aircraft. My question is whether the FS9 aircraft has to be installed in order for the upgrade to work, or is the upgrade included in the 747X installer. The reason I ask is because I suffered a system crash not too long ago and I'm not 100% sure whether or not I have the old installer, and I want to know whether or not I need to reinstall the original aircraft or if the new version will work. I hope this all makes sense, and I appreciate the help. Thanks.
