Hello everyone, I know this has been discussed before but I am wondering if a weather radar is in the making perhaps in the near future. If I remember correctly PMDG had some issues with this earlier. Anyway does anyone know if there is an addon version which I could use with the 747-400? Hi, had the PMDG 747 FSX running under WinXP without problems but now I get suddenly 'critical error' messages with CTD while loading FSX: When I start FSX a message pops up that FSX encountered an error due to the pmdgsounds.dll file and asks my whether I want to disable this file to be loaded. When I agree FSX starts and I can even run the 747, when I disagree FSX crashes again to desktop.Only hint: I recently installed the Acceleration package since I receive these errors. I did a clean installation from scratch of FSX, then Acceleration and then the PMDG (latest update as of 11/3) and realized a PMDG installer message that the PMDG FSX has not been tested with FSX SP2…

Loading FSX with Primary Aircraft being PMDG 747. Airac data base starts to load then FSX crashes. Windows one care install but disable whilst FSX is in use. FS9 loads all PMDG aircraft and Airac databases ok. All other games operate ok with One Care activated. Solutions please. Where do I get a new Airac data base and do i need to pay for it.Tricky

Hi Guys,I'm currently experiencing a few problems with my 747-400X. Chiefly, I'm having an issue with autoland. The aircraft's veering off to the left on approach, landing to one side of the Localiser beam. I'm using the default scenery, and I've tried landing at a few different airports including Manchester, UK (EGCC), Almeria, Spain (LEAM) and this evening's test, Miami International (KMIA). On the previous two occasions it's landed to one side of the centreline, but still remainded on the concrete. Can anyone from the team tell me weather these funcytions will be fixed at some point in the vc as they do not work.The fuel jettison quantity selector knob does not work u have to use it from th 2d panel and the same goes for the ground prox switches , the guards will open but the switches wont work from the vc or 2d eitherthanksKav

Hey,I don't seem to be able to get the green VOR needle to point to the VOR or the CDI needle to show at all. The ADF needle functions properly. There only time I got it working was somewhere near to Alicante where I got the needles for a brief time, but loc did not engage upon intercepting the course and so the plane remained on HDG SEL.I've included a screenshot just incase I'm doing something wrong. In this example I tuned to a random VOR and entered a random course to demonstrate. I have read somewhere that FSInn can cause this, but I don't know whether that is true. When trying to save a Panel State I must be making an error in the way I describe the panel to be saved as I can't get beyond the "Cannot Create file" message.Guidance would be appreciated.Cliff

I've asked this several times, but now I've noticed various posts here commenting on having these two addons togther. Is anyone sucessfully flying both under Vista? I can't, and I'm not just talking the dll.xml issue here. Every time i install the PIC737, it terminally damages my 744X installation.

HiDo you know guys how can I get the flightsoft Honk kong 2004 but the downloadable version(payware) because I am from Peru and the customs here are sucks, I checked the flightsoft page but they only have a CD version.So far I'm using the kai tak scenery from Jim Vile but I can not capture the localizer in my PMDG 747 and Can not do an autoland on runway 31.Please do you know a way how can I get an autoland on runway 31 or receive a localizer signal in my Pmdg 747 for Kai Tak scenery from Jim Vile.Regards,Victor

Hey everybody. I just received the PMDG 747-400 for my fs 2004.Now i have two questions.1) How do i get the wing-view. In the virtual cockpit i can walk around and go even trough the upperdeck. Then when i descend to the lower-deck, i see nothing. It is actually the lower deck with only the surround scenery of the airport. So i don't see anybody or chairs like that; the lowerdeck isn't there. Unless there is an update for that or something. Please Help!!!2) For the auto-landing i need a NAV-frequency. Hi everyone,I just bought the B747-400X very recently and I've been learning well with the documentations that come along with it. However I've got some issues that I can't solve.. I don't believe it's any bugs but actions on my part but I can't seem to find any answers or ways to solve it. Anyway I've followed the tutorials for start-up from cold and dark but I'm always left with 3 EICAS messages "No Autoland", "Yaw Damper LWR/UPR". I believe the power to the yaw damper is provided by the hydraulics and I've doubled checked always that it's on and normal before and after all the engines are started and the yaw damper has been turned on as well. VNAV PATH descents and FMC actions keep amazing me. This time I was hit by the FMC on a flight from EHAM to EGLL. I was flying on a LAM3A arrival towards EGLL, descending inbound LAM from FL240. At FL100 I was, as my VNAV PATH had indicated at LAM12 ie about 12 NM before LAM decelerating from 284 kts to 250 kts. Then, for no apparent reason reaching 250 kts the VNAV disconnected itself, leveling off at FL100. My mcp alt was set at 7000 (to be level at LAM) and the target was ILL82 at 2500 ft, so I couldn't discover why the disconnection came about. I was exactly at the path as planned, flying the speed as planned, flying the heading as planned ...Anyone?

Hi,When I run the 747-400X in VC, frames are OK.When I start to open en undock panels (ND, PFD, Overhead, Radio, FMC, EICAS) to other monitors the framrate drops dramatically. (less then 50% of initial framerate)Is normal behaviour for this add-on or do I have a problem?(I don't see this problem in FS9 with the PMDG 737-800/900)Best Regards,Bert.

Is there a way to use the PMDG 737NG panel with the default B737-400, instead of Microsoft's rather feeble attempt? I assume, having bought the PMDG product there are no legal reasons why I should not do this?? (if there are, PMDG please explain and I will desist!).I realise that not all functions will work as with the PMDG models, but as long as all essential operations (e.g. APR mode) are there, that'd be fine. Was wondering of the FSX 744 was capable of flying a 1-2nm offset from the centerline on a NAT track. It's a procedure I'd like to practice flying back and forth over the Atlantic.Can't seem to find anything specific in the FMC manual regarding this.
