I've just bought a new monitor, and upped my FS9 res to 1920x1200. When I uses the 747, a lot of the switches and knobs keep on flicking on both the main 2D panel and the overhead.This doesn't occur at lower resolutions, or any other products (including the PMDG 737) at this high resolution.I have the latest drivers for the graphics card.Any ideas, or will it just be a case of trying different drivers until the problem goes away?

1) If I look at the communication panel in the VC, the FMC is powered. However, if I open up the COMM panel, only the COMM radios are functional. Also, the VOR freq are blank and etc. Where does one change the VOR and ADF frequencies?2) Is there a good fuel planner for this beast available anywhere. I found one on AVSIM but it is in French. During my takeoff rolls, I am regularly getting the speedbrakes deployed" warning on the EFIS. Visually, the brakes appear to be retracted, and I do not have them assigned as an axis on my controller. Instead they are assigned to the default setting on my keyboard. I am presuming that this is a prolme with my setup, but I have yet to understand what it is. Has anyone else encountered this problem.Andrew

I've just finished putting my new PC together, and have now completed an almost finished FS9 & FSX installation.This time, because of the XML problem, i haven't yet installed the offending software (Wilco/Feelthere), and all went fine with PMDG installations.So, my question.... Is it now safe to install said aircraft AFTER having installed my 744?

Hey. As always thanks for the wonderful product and ongoing support. New issue i noticed is that the wing animation on any of the aircraft (currently only have the house livery installed) only partially works. The only part which moves is the inboard alliron and flap supports. Outboard alliron, FLAPS, slats etc do not move at all. (flap supports go down but the flap itself remains inside and so are the slots). This is purely a cosmetic issue and does not affect the sim - but the enjoyment level does go down. advise? vista32/fsxsp1/newest queen install.Thank you. Daniel

Following a recent post and reply from Brad, I'm curious. I find VNAV too unreliable to perform a descent/letdown. Let me make it clear that I'm sure that it is working as it ought and, according to them that know, it is a remarkably faithful representation of the FMC.Now, I may be wrong, but I understand Tim M advocates (and I for one prefer) resorting to LVL CHG/VSPEED and let down as per the chart, letting LNAV do its bit.Brad says VNAV is fine (and he should know).I find that, not on every occasion; but on many descents, you end up in a mess with the thing disconnected - set what descent forecasts/ wind velocities you like. In the FS9 version it works fine and the CRS above the ADI matches the ND. In the FSX version the AP has a hard time keeping up with the localizer. The CRS above the ADI says 031 degrees for RNWY 04R at KJFK. The ND shows 045. Shouldn't these 2 displays match? I have also noticed that the intersections ZETAL and EBEE do not line up with the RNWY centerline of 04R at KJFK. According to Navig…

Hey. I have installed the queen (updated install) over a fresh copy of FSX (reinstalled fsx as part of the early tried to fix dll.xml) - every time i try to run the aircrafts, the CRT's will shut off after two minutes or so. I have tried to reinstall the program but it did not help - - also, since the original install (before i reinstalled fsx) it never again asked me to authenticate using my user name and password. I understand this is somehow auth related, but can't seem to sort it out and a reinstall of the program (administrative rights, full access security settings, no firewall etc etc) did not help. help?? thanks again, as always. I am currently using vista 64-bit and FSinn, when flying online i dont get any traffic on my TCAS. I have the transponder to TA/RA and i have TFC selected on the map display. Any help?I am also having the same problem as with the fs9 queen where the nav aids dont ident and the CDI dont come up. Any ideas there?Kevin Henchey

Hi there,When I uncheck the "VC" option on the load manager, the aircraft still loads with both 2D and VC panels. I have tried by using the load manager before starting fsx and also once fsx is running (and then clicking "send to fsx" option) but in each case both panels are always loaded.Has anyone else experienced this? Hi,I have downloaded the latest AIRAC cycle 0711 from Navigraph. In the installer I chose Flight Simulator X and it were pointed to the correct main folder. I can see it intalling and I get a "Installed successfully" message at the end.However, when I'm starting the simulator and 747-400X and look at the FMC, the FMC tells me that it is still the 0710 cycle that is installed.By looking into the Flight Simualtor XPMDGNavdata-folder, I can also see that the the files has not been updated. They are still 0710.Anyone have an idea what is wrong here and how I can get this fixed?I have the latest updated 747-400X installed.Raymond

Are there any known compatibility issues with existing navdata airac updates from the various sources when applied to the 774X? Or, if they work on the FS9 model, they should working the 744X model?Thanks for setting me straight before I mess-up a clean install of the 744X and updated FS9-744 with 0711 and Dan Downs updates.

The EICAS electrical display constantly shows AC amps at 0 - no matter what buttons are pushed or BUSses are powered.Should this be happening? And if not, would this maybe be part of the problem with blank comm/chron/mcp displays?FSX SP1Vista 32Athlon 64 Dual4 GB Ram512MB Graphics (ATI)

When I load up the 747, I get values displayed for IAS/HDG/ATL.When I load up the 747F, these displays are blank.Clue me in please as nothing I seem to do gets values to display.Ray Gardner

Gentlemen ,I have noted a big difference between the size of gauges file of the 737NG for FS2002 and FS2004For FS2002 the size is 13849 Kb and for FS2004 is 3474 KB.Is that correct or something is wrong with the gauges file of the FS2004 ?Thanks and regardsAlberto Kunzel

Hi I just wanted to bring this up again since it was not corrected in the patch.1. The Dome light stil does not work on full brightness unless the engiens are running. This makes preflight a challenge at night. In an earlier posts, a 744 maintenance tech confirmed that the dome light should be available under either APU power or external power. This is not a huge deal, but it does make preflight a bit sporty at night.2. Yaw damper buttons do not click when pressed. Perhaps this is intentiaonal/realistic, but I was curious since the sam ething happened in the FS9 version.Andrew

Hi,Using ACA2007-Light to inspect my FSX enviornment, I came across a "texture=" issue on the GE variant of the Cargolux freighter for the 744X. I also just redownloaded and reinstalled the livery(PMDG744XF_GE_CVF.exe) to be sure the error wasn't alreay addressed.The associated texture folder is named texture.CVF. As you can see below, it seems to be incorrectly referenced as "LX-CVF" in the aircraft.cfg file.A quick fix (remove "LX-") for any user to be sure, but I thought you might want to permenently fix the livery installer as well. Hi everybody,I only wanted to say thanks to PMDG for the new 747-400X, I did only a small circle to land to test the new features but I must admit you are the best guys, look forward to the MD11.Just one small question: I can't see the brand name "PMDG" on the list of available aircrafts to choose from, although, by selecting "ALL" I see the "queens" there in all liveries. Observed after 03Nov update in the -400FX: While using VC Main Panel or Overhead they will sometimes freeze. I first noticed while doing checklist and found dump valves closed during preflight, I checked the 2D Overhead screen and they were open as should be. Next while in flight using VC main panel, I opened a top-view window and noticed that IAS, ALT, etc were frozen although I was accelerating and climbing. I closed the top-view window but no change. I switched to 2D to verify it's presentation was okay then switched back to VC and it unfroze and didn't have another problem. This was just a short flight delivering a new UPS freighter to KONT.
