GuysThere seem to be a fair number of both PMDG users and PMDG staff in the Greater European Region.Reckon it would be great to try and set up a location in Europe someplace where we could meet the PMDG team members able to travel to such a meet, and each other.Any ideas?Best regardsPeter Lloyd

Having just purchased the FSX 747x and been dissapointed by the poor performence of the SP2 in FSX. I'm considering the 'downgrade' to FS9 - but is it possible to get some discount going from 747x for FSX to 747 for FS9 ?ThanksJorgensen

I have a dual system with XP and Vista 32 and for some reason I'm able to sign on to your website under XP but unable to do so under Vista!!! I'm interested in purchasing 747x and have it installedin FSX under Vista. any idea of whats going on? Please adviseTony

Hello,I've tried searching here but found nothing. For the second time now it has happened to me that my FMC gets errouneous heading from FS. You notice it by watching the compass swing back and forth as LNAV tries to correct. When I press shift-Z I see the heading changes as well, meaning that for some strange reason, FS keeps changing headings. LNAV of course is unable to keep track of the route, you get frustrated and you eventually abandon your whole flight.Not sure yet, but it seems that when I press slew, the heading reverts to what appears to be the correct value. Release slew again and it appears to want to drift again. Any idea what this might be?Thanks,XanderDel…

I've tried twice today to buy the PMDG B747X without success. After entering all my details and pressing the final purchase button a message pops up with internal error or timeout. I tried contacting support by email twice but have had no reply. That's over 8hrs now. I'm worried my transaction has gone through twice and two payments made.Can someone please helpKevin Briggs

Hi installed the PMDg 747 yesterday, have been flying FS seriously for about a year now, and have been reading the manual, but i just cannot find the Load Manager!? Where ist it? Hi,I've noticed a change in behaviour of the thrust limit protection in the 747X compared to the FS9 version. In FS9, when simply loading up the 747 and applying full thrust (without setting up FMC or anything) the thrust will increase up to the TO limit but not exceed it. However now in FSX if you do the same thing and apply full thrust, it goes sailing past the TO limit to engine limits of greater than 117 N1. Is this intentional? I would have thought that the same thrust protection should apply to prevent damage to the engine etc?Adam

I have always been very happy with all my purchases from PMDG (737 for Fly!, 737, 747, B1900). Last week I purchased the 747 for FSX, but his time for me, it's wasted money (ony partially though because I got also the 747 for FS2004 update) as the PMDGOptions.dll, when loaded, makes all my planes (default and add-ons) fly with 0 fuel + refuelling menu inactivated.I asked for help through this post http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=139486&page=2and got no attention whatsoever.And now with the Avsim's convention coming it's less likely that I would get any help. Hello,I have been searching trough the messages but can not find an answer.The manual states that when I select above 70% thrust and I push the THR button, the auto throttle should activate and give me tak off power. With me nothing happens ...I have everything set-up in the FMC including thrust setting, the auto throttle system is armed. Nothing happens..For me right now I am only to take off with manually setting the thrust. I am sure I am missing something.Anyone who can help me?

So I was browsing thru my add/remove pragrams getting ready to remove software I no longer used. I happen to noticed some of the files associated with PMDG and the size of each file. PMDG Queen of the sky-24.7GB, PMDG 747 KLM Asia-25.5GB, PMDG 744 Singapore-25.5GB and PMDG Sound update-24.7GB, all totalling 123.6GB. This is impossible. I have no problems with PMDG and everyhting works well, but what I'm seeing has got to be wrong. Someone, please help me understand this. Thanks.btw...screenshot included.Troy

HiI want to take this opportunity the thank the PMDG team for a fantastic FSX747 sim. I made a flawless flight from JFK to SEA.Very immersing flight, the sounds, dynamics, navigation etc.Only one minor problem, however.I undersand that in the VC you can open the FMC using a click spot. I cant seem to find it. All the other hotspots are O.k.I downloaded and reinstalled the update 03Nov07 and still the same problem.The fonts are too small to see/program and have to exit to the 2D panel everytime I need to lookup the FMC.Bill

I'm trying to use the 3GB Switch to solve this annoying OOM issue that has bugged me for so long. I've tried just about everything suggested on the forum and then some to fix it with no luck, so as a last resort I am going to try the 3GB Switch. My question though is since i have a dual operating system, Win XP home and Win 98, do i have to do anything different when modifying my BOOT.ini, or should I just follow the normal procedures? Also, once the /3GB switch is added is there anyway to tell the addition was succesful other than trying a 10 hour flight and waiting to see if I get the OOM on short final? Thanks for the help!!!

Hi all,After having installed the PMDG747_400_FSX I have the following problem: all my planes, default and addons, would be launched with engines off. It is impossible to start any plane's engine, even Ctrl-E will have no effect. On the ground, all planes bounce erratically. Here is what I already tried:- removed my fsx.cfg and let fsx build a new one : same pblm- When fsx builds a new cfg file it does ask to accept/unaccept loading dll's. I answered 'no' to all the non pmdg dll's (except for FSUIPC 4.20, which I tried with and without) and loaded the pmdg dll's one by one, and found out that fsx was running ok when the PMDGOptions.dll was not loaded.- checked my dll.…

Hi Guys,If I have disabled the VC via the load manager. Will there be a benefit to turning down the VC framerate performance "knob" to 0 in the PMDG options? Meaning, is the sim holding back any frames for the VC even though it's disabled?Strange enough, with the 2D panel only, I'm getting less frames than the outside views. I just want to make sure I don't have a setting that's holding me back.Thanks,John

Has anyone encountered any of those deadly bitumous or macadam runways that used to kill the PMDG 744 in FS9? So far, I have not found any in FSX. I just landed in Changi (WSSS) with no problem, so I will take that as a good sign. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these boobie-trap runways are a thing of the past. However, If anyone encounters this problem, please post it here.Andrew

Hi All,Just completed my first long haul flight with the new 747 X (ATLAS AIR livery) from JFK to the new simwings Mega Heathrow scenery. Anyone managed to open the gates to the maintence area or opened the hanger doors? I can open them on the default a/c by setting NAV 1 frequency but cannot open them using the NAV/RAD page on the 747 X and entering the frequencies manually! Anyone had this experience?Regards,Ceri
