I have tried to buy the 747FX and have used 3 different credit cards and I get a Error 6 each time.I checked all online and all are up to date and have no problems,one is amex and a visa and a discover card.What is the problem here? Jeff

Hi!I was wondering if anyone is having multi monitor issues. When I fly, I fly in VC with my screen stretched between the two monitors 3200x1600. I'm using the nvidia 7950 1gig video card. I always flew this way in FS9. Now in FSX with the PMDG I seem to be having problems. The sim just crashed on me. If I undock the panels and then close them, when I open them again they are zoomed in so I am only seeing the corner of the panel (ie The Fmc). The overhead panel just won't display after I close it and try opening it again. I did go into the prefference and select display muti monitor.:-wave huggsKittie

HI Guy's I was on a flight las night from EGLL to KJFK.Approx 2 hours into the flight and well established across the pond i got a pop up box stating something along the lines of "Run out of memeory. FSX will restart"This is the first time i have seen this. Given that i was over water and getting 38fps i don't believe the system was under any pressure at all.any ideas? It bugging the #### out of me. Can only fly short flights at the minute for fear of crashing out!Thanks in advance.

I understand that at the present the only way to get the new features for the FS9 version is to buy the FSX model, but for those of us who still use FS9 (and my skip FSX altogether) will it be possible, at a later date to buy the updates as a service pack. I know the FS9 market is still viable and I think a lot of people, me included, would buy such an update.Dave F.

Today's new version is currently worth flying in Manual mode only as the majority of the Autopilot functions become active only occasionally.They are:IAS/Mach HDGVert SPDA/P EngageThe only one that is working normally is ALT. The others don't change in response to left and right Mouse clicks.In addition:The landing gear retracts only occasionally. The ability to withdraw the control column with the Mouse "hand" in order to better view the instrument panel only works occasionallyOn my first few flights all worked normally. I should mention that in the first version I didn't experience these problems.Please help.Cliff

I get this error sometimes when I try to engage the autopilot. I suspect it has something to do with the weight distribution or the trim... Any ideas?

DISREGARD / DELETESorry - Stopped when I came out of 4x speed.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Small visual bugReleasing fuel has a nice vapor effect that drops lower than the contrails.However, when the fuel dump is done, the contrails turn off and the fuel vapor remains. Something might be a little backwards there.If you can't reproduce it, let me know and I'll setup another flight to see if it happens again.

Anyone else noticed that once you get above 18,000' and using ATC it is called out that you are actually 300' above where the gauges and PFD say you are. If you are 21,000' it will call out something like "at FL213 climbing for FL280". It should be calling out at FL210.Thought it was a timing issue but have checked each time and it is the same. Can someone tell me what needs to be done with the files included with the course when used with FSX? Any other changes for use with FSX, I know it was designed for FS9?Thanks,Don

I'm having problems installing liveries on FSX 747. I execute the file and install to "E:Flight SimFlight Simulator X" which is the location of my FSX 747 file. It seems to install normally, but when I enter FSX 747 the new liveries are not listed.In the simobjectsairplanesPMDG747-400 subdirectory I see texture.NW2 which I assume is my add on, but it doesn't show up anywhere to load on the FSX 747.What am I doing wrong guys?Thanks,Don

FS9 will no longer run and gives me an out of memory error. Am I the only one with this problem? I uninstalled the update and then the 747 and the 747F hoping it would start. It does not. Any suggestions?OS is Vista 32

First off, congrats. It's mostly good. Excellent, even. But wow, some of the little bugs and rough spots really stick out.1) Numbers on the N1, N2 gauges are obscured by their respective vertical bars, which aren't quite aligned. They're a couple notches low, top to bottom. 2) The Yoke's On Me. Your yoke is so prominent in the field of view that it frequently obscures a clean look at the FD/Primary display. Worse, it's offset--blocking the vertical speed on the Captain's side and the speed tape on the First Officer's. Hi guys,I've just installed the 744 for FSX and have encountered an issue:The VC gauges are blurred. Are fine in normal 2D view, and are also fine in the VC when I click on them to open in separate window.Can anybody offer any help with an/all issues please? How does this panel data work as its' giving me a lot of grief?I completely setup my plane to the point where I am ready to start the engines. Then I save this as panel data "pre-start". But when I reload the panel I'm back at square one. The APU isn't even started anymore, extremely frustrating.Is this normal?Does it save FMC data or not, it seems that some FMC data is saved but some of it is not.Same thing with saving flights, what is saved when I save a flight? Do I need to save the panel seperately? FMC grief here as well, when I save and reload a flight the FMC has lost some config. All my legs are in the FMC but the FLT NO and CO route is actually not completed…

Hello gents,After a lot of Maddog flying this is my first PMDG fligth. I have problem getting LNAV to work (or maybe understanding how it should work):In climb after after take-off, autopilot is running on HDG SEL and V/S after following ATC instructions. Now it's time to 'proceed on course' and grab a cup of coffee before hitting FL340. The route is in the FMC, I'm within 2.5 miles of the course track but pushing LNAV does not "lock" me onto the route.Any ideas of what a newbie may be doing wrong?Thx,aro69

yes i uninstalled everything and and installed the new updated one pmg 744x, every thing loaded just fine.the air speed is not working at all and the plane just flips in the air , and once again i uninstalled every thing and empty the folder in the fsx folder.james

hey all,Since installing the 747X, I made a few flights.In every one of them, I noticed the performance of the aircraft during take off and initial climb is very good, too good it seems.I have many hours in the 747 in FS9 and now in FSX the aircraft seems much lighter.Best guess would be that this has something to do with Load management, however every time before the flight I loaded the X with 520000lbs ZFW as well as 200000lbs fuel, seems like a normal 747 load to me. But when taking off, the aircraft reached VRotate in few seconds, I used about half a normal runway.Also in the climb I get climb rates up to +5000ft/min.Question: Does anyone else feel the same way I do? …

I have upgraded to the latest version, the only problem is when I turn on the landing lights for the cargo version of the base PMDG textures whether PW/GE/RR engine variant, I get a solid colour change to reflect the lights being on along the aircraft. It is vertical and it looks like the paint job was not a smooth blending. all other liveries downloaded are fine.anyone else seeing this ?

I like many others, purchased the initial release version (v2.00.0030) when it was first released and I too experienced difficulties getting the simulation to run.Yesterday evening I downloaded the newest version (v2.00.0031). Before doing anything with it I uninstalled the first version using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS feature of the windows control panel. I just finished my first flight with the 747-400 FSX and the only thing I noticed so far was that when I turn the knob from BARO to the radio altimeter the DH for the radio altimeter does not show on the Primary Flight Display like it did for the 747-400 in FS9. The BARO DH shows just fine but not the RADIO DH. Is this a bug or am I missing something?Mike

Allrighty,First test flight is underway, on Vista Enterprise 32bit, only using ASX as a addon... The lights and sounds, so far are incredible I must confess I am a bit blown away... Performance is good as well on my AMD AM2 3500+ 2GB RAM and my el cheapo graphics card which still needs to be upgraded. Just three questions though, might be arbitary... - The nose wheel does not seem to turn when taxing? HiIf I can possibly have some help from PMDG support as my posts just seem to get buried without a reply.I have 1 issue with FSX 747. Every airport I have tried so far in autoland is landing approx 50ft to the left of the runway. It's like this all the way down the glide slope. This is only happening with 747. All my other aircraft. LVL-D ETC I have no problem with.In respect of . 747 FS9. 1 issue. I cannot engage STD in 2D but will engage in VC and co-pilot 2d and VC.This has only transpired since installing FS9 bonus update when I purchased 747FSX.I have applied the latest ver of the 747 FSX product.RegardsGerry
