Hey guys, I was just wondering why there is no weather and ground radar? I see the controls for them on the pedestal but quickly figured out it was for eye candy. Will there be a patch or service pack in the future to enable the weather and ground radar?Angelo Cosma

Hey guys just quickly gonna say fantastic work on the md11 marvoulous, but the only thing i noticed is that for some reason only on the md11 not even on the 747 is that when i select flaps down moving the leaver down on my throttle systems it selects flaps upwards but iv always had it to select flaps down can anyone explain???Paul

So far awsome aircraft. I am having some trouble with a lot of airports, when i set up a flightplan i get a message in the scratchpad "not in database" i'm not sure if there is something wrong with the nav data or some setting i've overlooked. Specifically EHFK, ETARVRTodd

Hey,I seem to have some very odd landing lights Ive noticed this evening, and was wondering if anyone else suffered from this?If you look here at my lighting panel, you can see everything is turned on:But from an external view, I dont seem to have any taxi light at all (you can just make out my rwy turnoff lights). And my landing lights seem to be two small spots in the distance.btw, I'm running FSX, with SP1 and then Acceleration pack installed. Along with ASX and X Graphics.Anyone else get this?

Hi,This is just bizarre!Yesterday, I could align the IRS without any issues. The system was taking position from the GNS, and at the appropriate time, I could INITIALIZE IRS* and all would be well.The system was flying overnight, but I awoke this morning to find it had crashed, STOP 0x000000F4. This system is a bit temperamental, so my feeling is that it is nt related to the MD-11 (but thought I'd make you aware of that). The cause was the HD had stopped responding to the system, as sometimes happens (I think the RAID loses sync and the drivers can't handle it).So, I restarted the system after a power down, get the MD-11 running again etc.. and wait for panel initializati…

Hi all, really hoping for an answe to a frustrating problem. I have many incident free flights in the 744X but recently I keep hitting the same problem. Getting the acft to move requires a higher throttle setting than I usually experience but when I get to the take off roll using TOGA the acft accelerates at such a leisurely pace even thoiugh engines are spooliong right up as normal. V1 is never reached at a safe point and if I do try to get airborne, even at the rotate call the acft goes into a stall and refuses to fly. I noticed the OAT was at 120 C at obe stage and by resetting this by going into wether settings I got it fixed but now it happens even at 10 C. Acft is n…

HiI have a experienced a similar problem on the last two flights.Firstly I always start a flight with the defaut cessna then load the PMDG 747. I spent ages the other night setting up a flight using topcat for the weights. I got to the point when I ask FSCrew to start the engines. 3, 4, 1 all started okay but engine 2 would not start up at all. I switched off all engines and tried again no luck. Well the flight was grounded. Today set up another flight from EGLL to EDDF and during the climb through 1200ft to 13000ft engine 3 decided for no reason to shut down and following engine out procedures the engine would not restart so ended up at the optimum engine out altit…

HiI must say I'm truly surprised about the MD11. I've never seen so trouble free release of any product to the Flight Simulator. Never.I've now flown 7 legs with the MD11 and haven't had a single thing go wrong with, this is truly exceptional for "1.0" of any FS product. I'm still on awe of this thing.With that said, I have one very minor "bug" (if that's what you want to call it) on wide 2D panel the engine start panel will open so that it blocks engine 1 parameters and has to be manually moved to the left a bit every time.EDIT: Oh, and on FLAPS35 landing in wide 2D panel, seeing the runway is somewhat difficult if not impossible, FLAPS50 is fine though.//Olli

I found how to do the procedure in the manual, but I can NOT find the alternate extend lever, there is a red lever that folds out of the left rear portion of the pedestal, but that seemed to deploy the RAT. How and where is the ALT GEAR EXT. located? Please help, had an aircraft failure the required it and cannot lower gear. It says, "Forward of Main Circuit Panels on Floor" WTH? Hi guys,I'm a bit affraid to post this question since all I have read to date is the Intro and Tutorial pdf's. Nothing was in there regarding this. It seems that all my panles are transparent. Meaning, when my 2D main panel is open, I can see outside through the panel, when I open the overhead it gets overcluttered since I can see my main panel through the overhead. From the screenshot's I don't think it should be the case.Anyone have an answer to this?Thanks,XanderF/O MD-80

Hi all.Many thanks to the PMDG crew for this wonderful Aircraft.I was planning to hold off for the FS9 version but I just couldn't wait any longer, so I bought the FS X and FS9 version.I'm now in the process of re-installing FS X to get her in the air, but have a question or 2.Are all the FS X service packs needed to run the program or can I do without the Acceleration pack?Second, is the PMDG OPPS page down for the moment or is it a problem at my side?I've been trying all day to get on to get the FS X settings advice so I can run it somewhere near as good as FS9.Many thanks again for all the hard work bringing these fine simulations to our world.

Hi,I've got a saved flight that does not resume correctly. IT appears to actually fly the route correctly, but the FMS is full of junk WRT distances, times etc..When I try and load the panel state separately into this saved situation, it says it contains incompatible route data and aborts.I'm restarting FS to try again as I'm sure it resumed correctly at least once.Best regards,Robin.

My system isP4 3GHz 1GB RAMHDD 160GBGeForce 8500GTI'm getting excellent frame rates in 2D cockpit view with the 737-800 but in spot plane view it stays around 8fps regardless of whether airborne or on the ground. In 2D view I can use the hat switch to look around at dense add-on airports and loads of multiplayer traffic and the frame rate stays around 30fps (I have it locked at 30). Switch to spot plane view and it becomes a slideshow. Only seems to happen with tne NG. Solutions welcome! :)-Rob

I have checked the multi monitor users box but windows still close automatic, How do I stop this as I want more than one window open at the same time. I want to display the attitude window, heading display window and engine instrument windows in zoom mode like the 747 at the same time.percy.

Hi, Anybody using the weather injection software like activesky can share how's the aloft wind data should be entered in the FMC so that fuel consumption or decend profile could be calculated more precisely. I have the aloft wind data for FL280, FL390 from these software but I cruise at FL330, do I just entered the figures for FL280 and FL390. How's the FMC figure out the wind data in FL330? Do the airline pilot get the updated aloft wind information for each waypoint in the FMC during the flight? Regards, Thomas
