(MD-11) This has happened to me twice, and I think I must be doing something wrong: On short final, just before flare, the autopilot disconnects. The aircraft is in a green bar landing config (spoilers armed, flaps 35, speed right on, g/s captured, etc.) but it seems the last time it happened, DUAL LAND was not indicated. Hello, first I want to congratulate PMDG, the MD-11 is superb!However, I have a small problem with the MD-11, not a very big one but never the less, annoying:When the engines are running, and I open the FSX control configuration menu (not the PMDG menu), and return to the sim all the engine have shut down. It also happened after a landing when I use the FSX replay function. Having an engine out on the taxiway is a lot safer than in mid air. :) Am I the only one with this problem?I have FSX with the latest service pack (not acceleration), PMDG 747 and the MD-11. I'm using Windows XP 32bit with SP3, and I have: 4GB ram (only 3 in use), Intel Duo E6850 3GHz, Nvida GeForce 98…

Hi guys,I loaded the "Cold & dark" scenario from the FSX-PMDG panel-state menu:After I switched battery on and started the APU I would like to align the IRS. Therefore I switched all 3 IRS-switches from "off" to "Nav" position (before I changed the "IRS-alignment time" in the PMDG-option menu to 15 sec.):The result: The three orange IRS-warning lights are constantly flashing...I really dont know what I did wrong here...Could someone please tell me what to do so that those warning lights will go out/stop to flash...? Goodday,Last friday i flew from Miami to Amsterdam with PMDG MD11. A friend of my also flew with me.When we were flying fsx didn't respont for about 8 minutes, that 5 times. Every time 8 minutes exactly.After the 8 minutes FSX continue his flight.We both have a very good system to run FSXIntel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2,40Ghz3.00 GBNvidia Geforce 8800GT 512MBWindows Home Premium SP1If i fly with the PMDG 747 i also got the same problem.Does anybody have a solution for this?Robin

Hello all,Yesterday morning I went to the German FS Konferenz in Paderborn/Lippstadt. I departed at 04:45 local time and had to drive 425 km (about 265 miles).I met Robert, Vin and Markus in person and had a long chat with them. All what I can say is, THEY ARE REAL GENTLEMEN ! And YES, they can make FUN, they aren't straight forward seeing persons without any kind of humor. Robert, your presentation of the MD-11 was very nice, with the necessary humor. Hi,just landed with the MD11 after a successful flight. While taxied-in I started the APU to have Electricity after engine shutdown.After I shut them down...I looked at the PFD and there was that red ATS-OFF warning frame flashing...Question: Is there any way to reset the PFD-display (with the result that this red ATS-OFF warning frame will vanish) so that for the next leg of the flight I have a "clean" PFD for the next crew...? :)Here is the situation:Thanks very much! :)

Has anyone had any problems rebuiding there FSX config file? I decided to rebuild it last night and had some strange behaviour.When I went back into FSX, I lost my Liveries for the MD, then after I launched it, the graphics were shaking so badly, I had to close FSX.I replaced the old config and it's fine again.

After you get the MD-11 airbourne go to an outside view then zoom in on the cockpit!

Eveything has been going pretty smooth until today my problem is as follows. Hi,I prepared to take off for some traffic pattern around the Apt (therefore FMS isnt filled out completely). Now - after engine startup - I get those warning messages on the display:1) What is the the correct name for this display with the warning messages below?2) Why is the warning display "Brake" displayed here at the center of the display? And what do I have to do in order that the display will extinguish...?3) And why is "No Smoking" & "Seat Belts" are displayed in blue letters at the right side of the display? On the overhead-panel the switches for "No Smoking" & "Seat Belts" are both in "Auto" Positions...? What do I have to do in order that both displays …

I have a Q9300 cpu running Vista 64 with 8gb of ram. 780i MB. I have liquid cooling installed and 2 NVidia 9800GTX in SLI mode 512 cards. I have had a hard time trying to overclock. Should I be looking at a new CPU or or just overclock like one of the MD 11 Beta guys does! I had bought the 737 6/7/8/9 package years ago when they came out - now I have managed to loose everything - so I know I will have to re-purchase the whole lot, my fault I know, but the real question is this: can I purchase only the 600/700 package and still get the latest updates with it? or do I have to buy the 800/900 package as well?thanksciao!Brian Sommers

When perfoming a full autoland should the MD11 land exactly on the centerline of the runway. I have recently done two landings at different airports, one with the aircraft landing about 2 metres to the right of the centerline and the other slightly to the left. Is this normal?Andrew

Hi Folk'sI have had a number of problems with the MD-11 which required quite a few reinstalls although I can't blame PMDG for any of them. These include the DLL coruption, ILS off centre and to top it all my hard drive failed yesterday.I sent a request to support about reactivating my validation as I had run out of attemps. This was just about 24 hours ago.Can someone give me an idea how long this will take as I would like to get it sorted so I can then defrag my new drive and installations and I don't want to validate my WINXP again until I know all is OK.Thanks Ron

When I am flying the MD11, I get a yellow warning on the engine display that reads ENG EGT HI for the three engines. The EGT reading fluctuates between yellow and red in the EAD. Also the word Air (in yellow) flashes in the lower right corner of the engine EAD.When I look at the overhead panel nothing is lit, there are no warnings, which means that all buttons are pressed and working properly.This happens when I load the panel with engines already running and ready to go.I looked in the manual but I could not find this especific warningresolution.What am I doing wrong?Thanks for your assitance.Sergio

Hi everyone,I have been bale to install the 4gb patch with the utility supplied by ntcore.The problem is, I am unable add the following line as directed in the PMDG MD11 Introduction. I am using vista 32 and am unable to find any thing that remotely looks like what is in the intro.
