Hey guys I want to program my auto-throttle disconnect to my yoke button but I can seem to do it. I have Shift-R programed into the pmdg keyboard menu. Also I have shift-R in FSX keys mapped to my yoke but it doesn't work, I really don't want to buy FSUIPC for FSX just for this. Any help is appreciated.Angelo Cosma

First I want to always be sure that the folks at PMDG know that I absolutely love the new MD11 (and the 747-400 for that matter). That being perfectly clear, I noticed in ITVV's movie (Martinair) that there is an oral warning (Betty) that tells when the stabilizer moves more than a certain amount. My MD11 doesn't have that warning. Do you think that might be added in a future service pack or is that something that is airline specific?Thank you,Bobhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_trijet.jpg

This is somewhat embarrassing, but while preflighting the FMC in the 737, I entered a wrong fix. No big deal, I'll just delete it and continue with the programming. Wrong. It wouldn't let me. INVALID DELETE I kept getting. I soon discovered you can't delete the top fix, only those below. No matter what I tried, I could not delete that one remaining fix at the top. I thought I could delete the flightplan and restart from scratch and begin all over, but I could not seem to get a fresh start. I shut down FS and restarted the whole thing. Is there a trick to canceling a flight plan to start over?? Thanks. Tom

Hi guys, yesterday I did a flight EHAM - CYVR (Amsterdam - Vancouver).Since I had work to do, I let her fly on her own, and came back hours later to check. (btw: PAX Aer Lingus livery)This is what I found:- Altitude 23000 and descending (down from FL 370)- speed prot kicked in- amber warning: fuel temp LO- Engine 1 and 3 out.- FMC message: "MULTIPLE ENG OUT"Can you guess what happened? Because I was away from the cockpit, and my co pilot was asleep or something, there was no one to descend to a lower (warmer) altitude when the warning "fuel temp LO" appeared. So the fuel froze!! (freezing point is -40C)The fuel temp was -53C, so I disengaged the autopilot and took her down…

Hello PMDG support team,Can you help me to resolve this ? Some figures are changed into alpha numeric characters. I don't have these with the B-747, only in the MD. Yesterday I installed "FS Water Configuration" for FSX. Can this be the reason ?Thank you so much,PeterBelgiumhttp://users.telenet.be/on4cdp/FS/MD-11%20cockpit.pngFlightsimulator is not a simulation, it's a way of life ....

Hi everybody. I've done I think 12-14 longhaul flights with the jet since I bought it and I was think I found something. I can start all engines at the same time. Is this correct or is this a bug? The lds 763 and the pmdg 744x can not start all engines at the same time with the 763 only able to start one and the 744 only able to start two at a time. So is this a bug or is this a cool feature on the plane?

Hi,As far as in know the blue arrow on flight path in ND means the place when the aircraft will reach the altitiude set in altitude window on MCP given it will follow the vertical path commanded by FMC.Is it possible to illustrate an altitude prediction based on manual V/S settings, like "green arc" from boeings?R.Czarek

Hi Guys:I recently made a post about the extraordinary amount of panel states that were seemingly saved as a result of the PMDG Panel States autosaving to their default location, every time FSUIPC Autosave created a new save state. FSUIPC Autosave basically deletes any older states, and then writes the new ones, whereas the PMDG saves, just kept on building. I posted the question to Pete Dowson's forum, and he suggested that he would think about it. Today i received another reply from him, in that it will be included in FSUIPC 4.40 to be released in the next few days. Here is his response. "Pete Dowson wrote:On the other hand, maybe an INI file option (only) could be adde…

Hi,I've been practicing takeoffs with the autothrottle disengaged (albeit with FADEC/EEC operating in normal mode. Although the FADEC keeps the engines from overboosting with the correct takeoff power setting during manual throttle operation, I will nevertheless get excessive EGT readings (IF) I power up too quickly.I normally stabilize EPR at 1.11, then apply full power. If I am very methodical I can keep EGT readings within normal parameters as I advance power, but I really have to be careful. When I do experience the high EGT readings otherwise, I still am smoothly applying takeoff power (i.e., I'm not simply shoving the throttles all the way up in a snap movement…

I have no idea whether this problem will affect anyone but me, but, just in case it does, I will describe it here.I have just attempted to install the latest Nvidia drivers for my 8800 GTS: until today I have tried to keep reasonably up to date. Part-way through the installation I received a message from Windows XP: "Windows - Low on Registry Space" and "The system has reached the maximum size allowed for the system part of the registry. Additional storage requests will be ignored".Ouch! An Internet search revealed that (a) users of Nvidia drivers are especially apt to experience this error, and (:( that "When using /3GB the system hive is limited to 12MB, otherwise it is…
