Is there away to completely disable the fuel from freezing up, I set my freeze temp to -58C (as high as it will go) in the fmc but still due to the unpredictability of any weather engine I use I get temps like -80 or -90C at FL330 and then have to drop down to fl250 to get the old engines going again, I know this is not really a PMDG problem but I would like to see an option if possible to raise the freeze temp in the fmc to something crazy like -100C or an option to disable the fuel freeze altogether.Until someone comes out with a Weather engine that works.

I brought this up a while back. The baggage vehicles do not deploy when the MD-11 is parked and the cargo doors are opened, as they do on the default aircraft. PMDG indicated at the time that this was on their list of fixes, but the latest update doesn't seem to fix it. You can get the baggage vehicles to move if you use Shift+E, then 2, but they go to the passenger door instead of any of the cargo doors. I thought this might be a matter of simply revising the cfg file, but maybe not. Any ideas?Donald

I noticed almost every repaint (at least for the -400F) has incorrectly labeled texture.cfg files. For example, one has fallback 1 and 2, but below are also fallback 1 and 2 lines.all freighter have a line for a regular texture folder in the 400f folder, except that folder does not exist.my uneducated guess is this might help with out of memory errors, since the sim would be going in a loop looking for non existing folders and them being labeled the same numbers.Anyway just noticed that out of the blue yesterday. My sim seems to run a lot smoother now with those fallback text lines correctedAlex

Does any one know if there is a way to place the B737NG fuel manager into FS9 so it shows up in the PMDG drop down menu option when you are sitting at the ramp. I find it a little inconvenient to be in FS9, then minimize FS9 to access the Fuel Manager to board fuel, then maximize FS9 to make sure fuel got boarded and was sensed by the FMC.No big deal if you can't. Hello everybody~I have a very small question that constantly ignored by me, but now I can't hold anymore to know the answer.No matter it is a PMDG747 or PMDGMD-11, FS9 or FSX, when the aircraft makes a turn by autopilot, especially at low speed, the altitude tends to drop a little (20~60feet), of course when the turn is completed, the autopilot climbs back to the designated altitude. It looks like the autopilot isn't fast enough to maintain certain altitude or certain vertical speed. I've been searching the forum for clues, but without proper answer. I'm not sure whether it's a FS limitation or not, but I really want to know the answer.Thank you very much!! I enjoy ever…

I have a question regarding the driver for the Flyengravity CDU for FS9.I know this driver is not available from PMDG anymore, but that's not the problem. I already have the driver (purchased it a few years ago from PMDG).The problem is that because of my own stupidity I dropped the CDU, and now the contacts for the power supply and USB connection broke off. :( I was wondering if I buy a new CDU, will I be able to adjust the serialnumber in the driver to match the serialnumber of the new CDU?In other words, can I replace the serialnumber in the file "PMDG_EngCDU.reg" with a new serialnumber?Jon

After a crash I now have different Hard Disk positions. All the FSX stuff is intact. I have managed to reinstate all except PDMG which on trying to reinstall the following occurs. It is unable to locate fsx.exe and the readme says: This installer will search for your flight simulator installation as itis reported by the registry on your machine. Hi. Anyone able to tell me why, when I select a cruise altitude in the initial setup of the PMDG (here 737NG) CDU do I sometimes get a message there telling me that the Max Alt allowed is lower than the one I want to set? I expect that on short flights, but on a long haul flight (over 1500 kms) I should be able to select, say, FL350. I can certainly fly up to FL350 and stay there for 90% of the flight duration before I need to start my descent.So why does the CDU object and tell me I can't programme in over FL315? What are the parameters that decide what MAX ALT is for the CDU? I don't get the message on every flight.Thanks.Martin

I own FS Crew for both the 747-400 and the MD-11. A few days ago I updated FS Crew via their web page and after installing same for both 747-400 and MD-11 I discovered that a. FS Crew didn't work on the 747 and b. when tried using it without FSCrew now the Auto Throttle function is inop. I tried reinstalling PMDG config files via the FS Crew start up page but that didn't solve anything. Completely uninstalled FS Crew for both 747 and MD-11 still no help. Are there any suggestions to solve this other than reinstalling both aircraft. Tom Helwick , Livingston, Montana retired NWA capt.

Tried today to install 747 QOTS on a XP x64 and the install immediately hung. So am I 1)out of luck 2)there is a workaround 3) get a life and FSX 4)resume the dark ages of 32-bit? Can't afford Vista or FSX on many levels, not to mention $$$, though my rig will support all that is out there except the I7 and DDR3.I tried to find an answer and didn't get anywhere. Anyone been successful? Care to share your success or failure? The rest of FS9 has installed fine including 737NG and all my extra payware airports and hardware (yoke, rudder pedals, TrackIR etc). Hi,Not a strictly PMDG issue since it happens with all my add-on's. My Dual Core Dell XPS 1730 with nVidia working in SLI runs hot. Indeed, some time I cannot put my hand on the vents or metal surrounding various ports. The vents blow hot air. My question is, does a hot PC affect FPS?Recently, it seems that my FPS starts out fine (around 24-36fpm) and then slows down to around 6fpm which is unflyable.If the answer is in the positive, is there anything one can do about it?If I need to go somewhere else to ask this question, let me know!Thanks,Meekal

Is there any kind of possibility that PMDG will develop add ons for X Plane somewhere down the line. I have just been converted from MSFS to X Plane (Although I do still fly MSFS from time to time) and it appears whatever MSFS can do, X Plane can do. 3 days ago, I had absolutely no clue about designing aircraft in X Plane. Now I have designed my own panel for the 747-400. Granted, it's not an exact replica and it took me all of 3 hours to finish it, but imagine what could be done in the time it took PMDG to make the MD-11.Screenshots below of the panel I created. Hi.I just got the new MD-11 for FS9, and what a great impression. First thing I did was to take it out for a spin.. Downloaded the AY delivery, and started at EFHK with all engines running at the active runway. I set flaps, set T/O brakes, and started the roll. Quiet as h***. Rotaeted, and up we where. full load and 60000lbs of fuel. I did not know where to fly, but ENTC seemed like a good choice. My first impression of the A/P system was a bit different from the 737 and 747, but it was very logical and simpel to figure out. I started climbing for FL300, but it was not high performance in climb here.. I lost speed, so I needed to change the feet per minute. When I reached…

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows a fix to this. It seems as though the landing lights have an odd light below it. The picture below shows what I am talking about. It is the little oval light under the main lights. I know the picture may be hard to see, but from different angles it tends to be more noticable. Any help/fix would be great.

I must be blind or I've been drinking too much again (what the heck, it's Friday) but I'm stumped. I can not find the equivilent VC panel of the System Display Control Panel (SDCP), which easily located in the 2D cockpit by simply left-clicking the SD button, just above the ND. I even went back through some of the MD-11 manuals. I almost forgot where those were, LOL...In the VC, how do I switch the SDCP (#4 display) to the other views such air, fuel, hydrolics, etc? Mine is stuck on the secondary engine parameters until I find it, LOL :(
