I just bought a new pc windows vista 64 bit i purchased an extended download and redownloade again my pmdg aircraft but first i installed the md 11 and everything was black in the cockpit and I could not fly the plane the I trie to re-install by switching off the security features but to no avail I installed aswell the 747 but its crashing fsx and so is the md-11 I need help here thanks.Patrick :( :(

I uploaded a flightplan i did with Vroute but when i go to my flightplan folder i go to look it up and its not there?? Anyone know where it went? I saved it to that folder....tried it SERVAL times.................thanksGunny

Hi dear friends.I was trying to change the state of my PMDG 747-400 cockpit to the COLD and DARK settings.In my panel state save file I have two options and I would like to get know what these numbers mean and how to calculate them by myself. What do "ReferenceFuel" and "SensedFuel" mean? And what are these numbers? May I change them into 00.000000 to have "clear" Cold and Dark configuration?I have 71600 lbs of fuel on board. Is it any way to calculate "ReferenceFuel" and "SensedFuel" BY HAND using this data?Best regards and sorry for my English.Thommy.

I have been having issues with PMDG since first few minutes of using it.Screen goes black or whole plane goes transparent and all sorts of screen funnies if you dare change views or go to FSx menus etc. Infact on one occasion a 747 AI plane went transparent as my MD11 got close to it, very strange. But since i have been silenced and threatened with a ban from avsim for alerting others to potential issues with PMDG before they pay $100 for a fuselage of stressfull times, i will maintain the PMDG propaganda and stop that there.Something i have done that is so far, i repeat so far, having very promising results is this. And others have had good results with similar technique…

Just wanted to post this video of a clean and brand new cockpit.I'm hoping that the "HUD" will be a part of the PMDG 737 NG 2.0 release. And the new look of the 737 cockpit, without the old style windows above the pilots head.I know for sure that it will be a fantastic release, esp. if FS2Crew develops along side it, as they did with the MD-11.Golli.

I intend to fly from New York to Boston using FMC datas enter manually into the CDU.Using FSX and the PMDG-747-400 PW.There is no problem with the set up when I use a company route.By doing it manually I never get the LNav armed ( illuminated ).TheVNav is okay.Here is my procedure: ( The F/D are on on both sides )1) After the initializon steps I go to the Route page,then to LEGS and enter all the waypoints.( including the names of the airports,KJFK, KBOS ) At the end I enter KBOS ( Boston airport ) which leads to the message "Route Discontinuity".And from here on I am not sure how to proceed.2) Whatever I do causes problems with the LNav ! I bought the MD-11 a couple of months ago and I'm starting to get decent at using it. I'm flying for FEDEX and I'm starting to take her on short runs , from like Toronto to Montreal to Boston etc. Question is, how are you guys figuring out a realistic fuel load for your flights? I have FSBuild and it has a default MD-11 performance file but I have its way way off compared to the PMDG MD-11. ThanksMark Soskin.

I'm getting some weird temps while flying today, did a flight online from YYZ to YHZ at FL350 and the TAT was at 35C, I could not maintain FL350 the MD11 was dec and the speed protection was coming on. I was using the REX for weather, so now I'm doing another flight this time with fsx default weather engine, same thing I get above FL 300 and the TAT goes back up to 35C. So I go into the weather and clear everything and now the TAT is back at around -22C. Has anyone ever seen this before???

Hey guys so i thought we would have another guessing game as to what Dash aircraft PMDG will be releasing!! I know this aircraft is alooooooonnng way of yet, but would be nice to get some ideas!!! I am in the midsts of adding to the wikipedia article of PMDG and find it hard to find much information on the topic. Does anybody here have any information on the general subject of the company or it's history? FSX , PMDG-747-400 aircraftIn the FMC ( under Thrust Limit ) are the following entries:Sel OAT ToEPRUnder Sel I can enter a number.OAT always shows 15 . ToEPR shows 1.63First of all : what is OAT. I thought this is the outside temperature of a given airport but since the value remains at 15 regardless of the airport I am not so sure.Should this value not change from airport to airport ?What means EPR and it's value ?What affects the changes of a Sel number ?My goal is to establish the VR speed at different temperatures.Your help is appreciated.Hubert ( my real name )

Hi,this is on the MD-11: when I try to engage the thrust reverse with my Ch-yoke lever it doesn't work because the ATS prevents the hardware input. When I use F2, the ATS disengages and reverse thrust comes in. If I try the same on a manual landing with ATS off I can use the HW-Lever for reverse.Could you please implement a fix in the next patch that recongnises the HW-Throttle movement on touch down that leads to an ATS disconnect? When I set the Override mode to "always" it works that way, but it should also do in the "clamp only" mode. Jan-Paul Schuchna

I use FSX and the PMDG-747-400 aircraft.How are the v speeds computed when the airport altitude is high,as for instance in Mexico City.I think the v speeds have to be higher then on sea level but how are they determined.In FSX and in the real world ?Any ideas ?Thanks

I am sure that someone had managed to select and undock the upper eicas panel and positioned it on a second monitor. However, I cannot find how to do it and want to know if I was dreaming?I am aware that you can left mouse click on the PFD, ND, UPPER EICAS and they enlarge, but cannot undock them.

I'm sorry if this is covered in another post, but I've searched for two days and haven't found a solution to my problem. What is happening is the passenger version of the 747-400 for FS9 crashes to desktop when I try to load any flight with that aircraft, the FS load screen appears, gets to about 5% load, then crashes. What is interesting is the -400F add-on works like a charm with no faults on load or in operation in the sim. This puzzles me and through all the FAQ's and posts in this forum I have yet to see a topic related to that. A little history of my setup. The first few flights I had with the MD-11 for FSX, I would type my Dep/Des on the fp init page as normal. The next screen would show a route already made, with the option to insert that and use it. After a reinstall, I no longer get these "presaved routes", it just says "NONE". Any ideas? thanks!v/rJeff Bias

Hi all , i installed pmdg 747 fsx a while ago but have been out of the country since , just gone to use it again and i found in the options menu when i untick boxes - ie clip flight plan data to compass border it does not save it , so when i go back to look the box still has a tick in it , for some reason it doesn't seem to save what i have done , please help i have been looking forward to getting back to my flight sim for ages , many thanks :( mrt60

What do you think? Except for the obvious flaws with the red color on the 1 and 3 engines. :( How about the logo on the tail? Move it up on the rudder or down on the engine?Best regardsNiclas
