I am thinking of getting Simchart 3 even though I am using FSX and not FS9.All I am looking for is to be able to view charts and then print them out when I need it. I do not care for tight integration that the online simchart 4 that I have provides (This is going to expire in a year).I understand that I can unlock the 3 regions (IF I get the 3 region disk) when I install. Does the app go to Jeppesen to unlock this? I am worried that Jeppesen would stop supporting this in a year.IS it tightly coupled to my PC? Hello .Need someone to help me please.I stalled fs9.1 update to my fs9. I had a bit of a problem installing an aircraft and decided to uninstall fs9.1.I an now trying to install it back in but always get error34 and the installation halts.I have removed the "backup" folder from my main fs9 dicrectory but the problem still occurs.Can someone please advice if by maybe changing/removing some files if this will do the trick?Please help not really want to remove fs9 completely!Thank youJason

Having trouble with the 747 400X in FSX1 - Was flying from KLAX to YSSY and got this message FUEL IMBAL 2-3 Why did the aircraft pump 20 000lbs of fuel in to the Main 2 tank and not the Main 3 as well? Heading 236 degrees, Wind 279 deg @ 32kts.2 - How do you land this aircraft i have had 4 attemps and the FMC keeps the airspeed at 142 kts. Have tryed with the auto pilot disengaged but still no land?

I need some advice. I am thinking of buying a PFC yoke to replace my Saitek yoke.Problem being the PFC yokes don't have a hat switch and I still want to pan around when using the VC cockpit. Has anyone got any suggestions on how somehow I can still have the functionality of a hat switch when the yoke itself doesn't have an actual POV hat switch?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.Andrew

I asked this a while back over at aerosoft, but I also want to check with people here on ATCI am looking for a solid ATC product that can replace the fs one. I was looking at Pro flight emulator, but someone mentioned that it did not see AI?I am annoyed by the fact that I generate a flight plan from fsbuild, only to have atc send me to a different runway altogether for landing. Frustrating, especially on long haul (Daughter keeps me bussy).Any advice would be great since you take flying more serious than most.Thanks.

Hi Boys,I know this mentioned elsewhere, however I did a search for Kai Tak in this forum and nothing came up. I also checked out the wiki ops section and couldnt find a solution to my problem. I just bought the Fly Tampa Kai Tak scenery, its amazing and its not as big of a hit on the FPS as I thought. Naturally, Im trying to land a 744 there and Im having issues with getting the nav data to work properly. I am going to buy something new for my fs setup tomorrow. I am going to buy the saitek yoke and throttle quadrant and the ch pedals. Will these items work with the pmdg planes, and will the toe brakes work?

Hey guys,in A/C STATUS, there's a performance factor field which CAN be edited. My guess is that it allows the operator to modify fuel flow and performance figures to mach real world aircraft performance. But what does it affect? Only fuel flow, or other parameters also? I can't find any thing about it in Aircraft Systems or the FMS guide.Xander

Hello,I hope it's fine to post a screenshot of what I am currently working on. I think I am done wiht the left side, the right side still has to painted (still looking for a few photos).Getting the Star Alliance title showing up correctly was a bit difficult, that's the reason the letters on the back look a little bit smaller. But it's simply not possible to get the repaint looking right if you keep the letters the same size, due to the mapping of the 3D model.best regards,Christian

When I go to addon PMDG options I don't see the "Virtual Cockpit" option that is in my manual. My options stop at "Various". This means I cannot get to the VC. Can anybody help?Bernard Samms

Hi did a quick search and found nothing...anyways been having a bit of an issue with the 737-700 for awhile now and cant seem to figure it out. Basically some of the exterior textures for some of the models dont show up while some of them do. I have tried to reinstall the missing textures but they still show up as all gray. In addition to this I cannot add any new aircraft. After installing they just dont show up. I used the 737 removal file and have tried several times reinstalling the 737 but same thing. Even after reinstalling the old aircraft that I did not yet reinstall were still showing up in the FS9 aircraft selection menu (with no textures) This problem on…

Hi, I'm surprised that I have to ask the question given the stellar work done on the MD-11 but I can't find any takeoff performance data.....anywhere. I found the landing data in the back of the POH, but no takeoff. Does anyone know where these numbers are? I'm looking for Balanced Field Length data, and general takeoff distance / performance. Hello, I've had the 747-400 (in FS9/Vista) since the middle of February and have not had any performance issues-until last night; Iusually set up a flight from CYVR to CYCC. I am using Nigel grants Vancouver scenery and Canuk's Calgary scenery. I always download the actual weather and the flight is always around dusk. Typically I get no frame rate degradation- even in cumulus clouds, but now (especially in vc) the frame rates arenot only slower but jump in a wide range from 5fps to 21fps (I have them capped at 25) the frame rates are poor even when idle on the ground. I recently updated my Navdata to Navigraph's version 0903 and everything worked perfectly in both FS9 and FSX...now for some reason when I load a PMDG aircraft in FS9 I only get a part of the NavData...I can see it loading the data very slow at first then halfway through it jumps to the end...I go in and try to input a flightplan into the FMC and it always comes back as "Not In FS Database"...it says it doesn't even have KDAL or even KDFW in the database...any ideas asa to what's going on?...any help would be appreciated...thanks!Steve Leingang
