I had an engine failure today and the thrust limit automatically went to MCT as expected. However, When I attempted to change it, the limit immediately reset to MCT. Is there any way to get around this design logic?Paul

Is there a way to assign a yoke or even a key assignment for spoiler detents? I would to be able to press a key and go in steps to each detent and back, since opening the pedestal is kind of a PITA everytime during descent.Maybe a feature that could be included in the PMDG options menu. I didn't see a way to do it with FSUIPC registered either. FS9, BTW. I tried last night with no success.

I enjoy having random failures set during my flight so I always know something may fail and don't get lazy.but.. PMDG's random failure system while being thorough is just too frequent. 1 in 10 hours avg usually means half or more of my flights will recieve atleast one failure. In the future would it be possible to have more choice on the chance of failure?Maybe allow a options for events upto a 100hour time frame (or even more), this way I could set the failure rate and leave it, while still aware I could have possible failure at anytime. I think many more people would experiement with the deep failure system you have provided, and train themselves on failure procedures.…

I have been reading the manual and looking through the fms, but can't figure this out. Is there a place where I can enter some speeds so the MD11 will not go over 250knts under 10000ft, I find that usually before I even get to 6000 Im doing between 260 and 280 knts.

Hello, in an on going attempt to gain performance I use alacritypc to shut down everything in the background before launching FS9 and the PMDG 747.In the 2D cockpit, I get up to 45fps, but the virtual cockpit is extemely variable with FPS from 14-38. with this range, I get stutters.What I'm wondering is, with the specs. Hello~My FS2004 tends to turn into black screen, and than crash to desktop with a warning window asking me whether to restart FS2004 or not, thus no OOM message. This issue happens no matter when I'm running PMDG 747 or PMDG MD-11. The strange thing is that my FS2004 only crashes when I constantly switching between 2D panel and spot view during a flight. If I stick with 2D panel, my FS2004 usually works smoothly throughout the end of a flight.It seems to me that the constant spot view causes the crash of FS2004. Any ideas? This problem isn't related to the PMDG products, it's happens with all my aircraft, but it is detracting alot from my enjoyment using PMDG 737, MD-11 with FS9.When taxiing and taking off, with clear weather, no wind, my aircraft continually drift to the left. I continually need to add some right rudder to try and stay on the centerline.If I disable the rudder pedals it seems fine so the problem seems to be with the Saitek rudder pedals.I have the rudder pedals active with both the FS9 controllers and FSUIPC and many times I've run the calibration but nothing changes.Wondering if the well educated fellow posters in this forum have simlar problems, further ideas on a fix or…

Using FSX and the PMDG-747-400 aircraft.The FMC manual states that Longitudes and Latitudes can be entered as waypoints.Either in the RTE pages or in the LEGS pages of the FMC.Example : I want to enter a Longitude of 78 degrees 34.5 minutes West and a Latitude of 41 degrees and 23.3 minutes North.The manual states to enter : N4123.3W7834.5After entering these datas I get error message "Not in database".Why is this.Please correct me if I am wrong but I am under the impression that the aircraft should fly to thatwaypoint. I had a busy day lol - Flight from EGLL (Heathrow) to GOOY (Dakar) then, after a refuel, on to FACT (Capetown) without FSX missing a beat :( Default weather, of course, because that's yet to be done properly.... grrrrEventful, yes, the ils at GOOY leads you about 100 yards to the left of the runway on the wrong heading lol but as I handflew it anyway it was easilly correctable.Had a plane taxi off the runway at GOOY too as I was holding... drove straight through me lolol. I own the PMDG 747 for FS9.I bought the MD-11 yesterday and all was working fine.Today, I loaded the MD-11 and was dissapointed, I had no guages displayed. I then went to my 747 and that was dead too!What is going on please guys?I have the LVLD and other payware aircraft that run with no problems.For an add-on costing so much, I am very annoyed that it has bugs. :(
