Have you the PMDG developers been in contact with the company VRInsight at all? They are making some excellent products which would go great with a lot of your aircraft and I have considered purchasing the MCP panel. I just tried to purchase the Extended Download for the MD-11.I went to PMDG site, logged in with my username and pw. Then I added the Extended D/L to my Shopping Cart.Then I selected "Checkout"The site then tells me, "Your shopping cart is empty".?????So me being inquisitive, I go back and switch browsers (IE, Firefox). Same result.What am I doing wrong?

This tongue-in-cheek disparaging claim about our beloved trijet came up in another forum recently.The situation : You're flying from A to B, and get told for whatever reason to be at a certain altitude when 35nm from a VOR that isn't part of the route, and is about 20 miles off the route. (edit: The A-B route is part of a STAR and cannot be changed. Hi Guys,It seems that I am unable to perform a very simple task, neither I was able to find a solution to my problem. Hope someone will give me a hand:I can program FMC for intended route while on ground, but in mid air, when I want to change a distination airport, I'm stuck ! I can't find any way to re-program FMC - delete existing flight plan, change destination airport and recalculate flight plan accordingly.Can anyone pont me out to step-by-step instruction how to change my flight plan in midair.Thanks in advance/

HiI recieved my boxed version of the MD 11 last saturday I have conducted 7 flights, 6 beingthe tutorial heathrow to Zurich and 1 being cardiff to Glasgow. I am sorry to reportthat in all flights I have experienced a CTD, with the error message that my "machine has run out of memory alter graphics close application etc"I am somewhat dismayed as am running Vista 32 bit os with an Intel e6400 chip (not overclocked) with 2gig of ramand a nvidia 8800gts. i am not running in DX10 mode. Hi everyone,I've been a happy user with my FS2004 for some thousand hours, and I suddenly have a problem: a/c gauges become black.Happened with my PMDG MD11, B737 and B1900D.I posted this originally in the AVSIM FS9 section, but I saw that it happens only with my PMDG planes. (tried with default *** ones, no problem with them).FS is still running but gauges go black every 8 minutes . When it turns mad, I reload the a/c and everything is back up running, then black gauges after 8 minutes etc...Yes It does it EVERY 8 minutes ?!!?I use XP, dual core E6600 2 Gigs of RAM (my config is 2 year old or so without recent modification.)I did not install anything new for ages, exc…

I was just wondering since where all here to simulate why cant we get a shared cockpit with PMDG's wonderful products, is there a mod that we can use to get fsnet to work, or are you guys on the development team working on a great feature like this for your upcoming release?

Hi all,I still keep on to FS2004 and I would like to make repaints for MD11.Untill now I have painted with Microsoft Paint and have quite a good grasp of the use of that program. However, with the Paintshop Pro or Photoshop I have only little experience through some trial versions years ago.As the making of repaints for MD11 requires one of the two latter programs I am thinking of giving this a try.Is it possible for the purpose of only repainting FS aircrafts, to get a version of either of those programs to a decent price and which version might that be?I assume after a search in this forum that it is OK to use the FSX repaint kit for FS9 repainting.Carl

I was wondering if its possible to have a car in FSX so I can make sight seeing or look around at airport. I cannot believe it but I found in Simviation. It is wonderful for my needs and I am sure you will enjoy it. Yesterday I landed to SCIP, Easter Island, Chile. so, I'm constantly getting fsx out-of-memory errors...and I'm just going to wipe vista 32 and install vista 64. I found no evidence of a pmdg md-11 uninstaller in the little menu you get to from start, so I uninstalled it from add/remove programs.will I have any problems unzipping and running the installer for the md-11 again? I forget how the installation goes. I have my order ID from when I purchased it. is that all I need?I honestly did run searches in this forum... on key (didn't work). Reinstallation obviously popped up some topics, but not specifically what I was questioning.I apologize if this is a duplicate thread of some sort.sincerely,Chris Romaniello

Hi, I have a couple of questions about the PMDG MD11 (I'm using a decent computer and windows XP and FSX) When I try to enter a New Dest on the LAT REV Page FSX crashes, every time...why? When I try to fly an RNAV Approach (Min Prof entered) and hit PROF, the AFS does not enter Prof Mode When I insert an RNAV Approach into the FMS (with Min Prof), it should thereafter be possible to select the exact value on the FCP (for example 5770ft), this is not possible. Hi allAs far as I understood, RCWS maintains the bank angle, after releasing "the joystick" (in this simulation), if AP is OFF... is that correct? ... so, that's not happening here... has this to do with my PC (type of joystick, windows, whatever), or do I misunderstand the systems of the MD-11?And, the second one... after disengaging the ATS and slowing down too much, the ATS gets activated automatically... that's clear (low speed protection) ... but, it seems simply to accelerate and never to stop this acceleration again... is that correct too? do I have to manually disengage this system or what's the next steps to do, after such an engagement of this system? Hi all,Just wondering where I need to go to change the timing of the red beacon light? I used to work for a cargo company and the MD-11's beacons would flash in intervals of almost less than a second apart. In FSX the MD-11 seems to be a flash every 3-4 seconds. Just wondering if I can change that?

When I come to start the engines of the FS9 MD11, the orange engine start switches don't glow orange, and don't pull themselves back in once the engine has started. When you pull them, you can see them flash orange for a second, but then they go out, and you have to manually push them back in once the engine is running.If I pull the engine start selector, then push it back in, then pull it out again, it will stay lit orange and will pull back in once the engine has started.Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

G'DayTrying to buy the MD-11 for FSX finally on the PMDG website. I add it to the basket and it then shows the basket as having an order for 1 MD-11... When I then click on checkout, it brings up a page saying the basket is empty.. when I then click on the basket its there! Ive tried this half a dozen times now.Any ideas?
