I have the MD 11 and am wondering if there is a way zoom in the navigational display so that I can see entire flightplan from start to finish on the map. I know you can just right click on it to enlarge the ND but I would like to see the entire route. The 767 from Level D has a knob which allows you to switch between 5,10,20,40 and 80 miles in the display.ThanksBernd

Guys, you may have noticed my earlier posts about having a problem loading the the 744 - it's not gone way.Now it's bordering on plane crazy! I've now reinstalled Windows XP and FSX THREE times. This last time with the correct version of the SP3 update - seems I was running a beta version.Now, all I have installed is FSX, the PMDG MD-11 and the 744. Nothing else!.MD-11 is fine. 744 will not load gauges and sometimes will CTD. The load manager also crashes.Windows is FULLY up to date and I've downloaded and installed all relevant things, such as C++, dot Net and DirextX etc.Anyone got any more ideas please?EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong - I'm guessing..... the DLL fil…

1. When selecting NEXT WAYPOINT on the LAT REV page, if the waypoint you enter has a crossing restriction, the restriction gets deleted.2. When above the profile in the descent, the intercept circle should change from pink to white when the spoilers are extended. I'm not seeing this work consistently. Sometimes it stays pink, other times it will alternate all on it's own. Is there some logic other than the spoiler position built in to the display.3. I could not find anywhere the answer to this question, but I was just curious to know. When flying a SID/STAR with altitude and/or speed constraints, are they always followed or is it up the the descretion of ATC i.e. like only during certain times of the day. Thanks for any infoDave S

Hello;I have recently installed the PMDG 737NG 600/700 under FS9 and the only thing that doesn't appear to be working for me are the cockpit tooltips. NOt a big deal as I am quickly memorizing what is what, but when I switch to other planes the tooltips are appearing. Yes, the box is check in FS.Any thoughts as to what I may have messed up?Thanks.John Ferry

I just started "testing" the MD-11 fsx, and must say it is better than I thought it could be.I inadvertantly got the fps to show before I took of on the tutorial flight, and was bewildered by the results. It showed a measley 7-9 fps, but I can live with that as I have VFR London and mega egll in use, along with Switzerland pro, and fsdt sceneries for LSGG, and LSZH. What got me confused was the fact that even though the count was low, I had no stutters, or pauses at any point in my flight. At 7-9 fpm, you would think it would give me a bad case of the hic ups or something.I am very satisfied, and appreciate the tutorial as it is an excellent starting point.Thanks for the…

I stumbled across this product on the simMarket website this morning and I can't get over how the panels and MFD's in this product look virtually identical to the PMDG B737 panels and displays. I mean, I know that if you do a good rendition of the B737 panels, there shouldn't be much difference between products from different companies. There would be subtle differences in the way the panels are rendered, for example, but this just seems too close to call any difference. I bring this up because I'm wondering if they have used the PMDG panels, does this constitute a breach of some sort if they are selling their own product with PMDG panels without PMDG permission? Hey folks - Not sure why, but I get a weird blurring effect when the textures of the PMDG MD-11 get a certain distance from the camera. In a static view from the sides, everything is crystal clear, but as I pan around the aircraft, the furthest textures go noticeably blurry. Has anyone run into this, or know of a graphics card setting or PMDG setting I can change to fix it? It doesnt happen in any other aircraft I dont thinkHere's a sample:

With a non precision approach Apparently with the window open and the AP in VNAV you should remain in VNAV SPD until reaching the "on approach logic" waypoint at which point the PFD then goes from VNAV SPD to VNAV PTH assuming you're on profile. Is there a download to fix this problem on PMDG?nathan K

Taking off with heavies using the FMC with autothrottle.....If I'm using the FMC & autothrottle for the whole flight, should I just leave the CH Yoke lever in the firewalled position throughout, until just before touchdown?What do others do with this?Thanks

hello!i have a legit FSX DLX+ sp1 and a legit 747-400x of PMDG with all the updates.i have it running perfectly on a different computer with the same specs, though in this computer i cant see the PMDG addon on the addon menu in flight.also, some of the button/aplications are inoperatable.i had this problem with LEVELD, and the solution was changing one of the DLL files to match FSX SP1.can someone help please?10xJonathan Poller.

I just noticed today (with an outside screenshot) that my speed brakes on the 737-600-900 are not deploying on landing even though they are armed (both visually and the indicator on the panel). Prior to installation of the 800-900 I know they were working. Does anyone have any hints? TIAJoe M

I have tried to follow the instructions for adding a signature block from the PMDG forum for the MD-11 but previewing the signature block only shows the text.Either I am doing it wrong ( mostly likely reason) or there is a fault in the system.How do I get one of those flash new MD-11 signatures please? First I want to say that the MD11 is outstanding. I do have a small problem/question: During a VFR approach, I setup according to the FMS Manual page FMS.60.9 and I get a generated waypoint FA*** as I should. However, many times the VFR waypoint is not aligned with the runway azimuth, sometimes it's a little off and sometimes it's way off. I haven't taken any screenshots but I will if it helps. As far as I can tell the a/c position is initialized properly.Are there any known issues or am I the first? I am using the FS9 version.Jim

Hi,hope it is OK to put this as a topic again as with the other post there are some user issues.I flew the original FSX version for 2 month and the trim settings given from the TO page gave excellent handling during rotation and initial climb. Now having flown the FS9 and FSX version including the update with different loadings, that is not the case anymore. Following the recomended data, the plane rotates on a tiny move on the yoke and to fly FMS climb out speed needs immediate forward trimming.I do take care of having fuelling completed and let CoG calculation refresh to actual load.From what my knowledge of TO trim is that it is mostly V2+10 or even V2+20 which is is t…

Can someone please let me know if this is normal when porting the 1900D into fsx, its been driving me nuts for the last little bit, you can see right into the cockpit, and it looks awful, I've asked around, and I seem to be the only one getting this!!!

A bit confusing, I have the 737 MCP operating my 744X, but it works flawlessly thanks to fslabs. The FMC, OVRHD, COM, pops up on my Touch screen. I also have the TQ6 Throttle Quadrant.

Looking at how things worked out for MS FS, I wonder what might have been if the FLY! franchise had been the "chosen" one. I know that the passing of Richard Harvey placed a big stop to any hopes of a future for FLY!, but seeing what is happening right now in the hobby, maybe the FLY! series be not out of the question (Big maybe of course). I have read that one of the big commercial developers-distributors is looking into developing a purpose made airliner simulation and is looking for platforms to build this on. I'm about to get a new computer to run FS9 better than I've been able to. I assume this will mean that I have to re-install my PMDG 737/747/MD11. Is this correct or can I copy the aircraft folders across to my new machine?Iain Smith

Hi, I'm trying to get this 3d light redux strobe effect work to replace the default PMDG 747 strobe lights, but I can't find the postition of the strobe lights, so I just made a guess, but the postion is slightly off placed.
